Love this place been coming for years. I like the #23 not a lot of Pho places have wontons. Staff is friendly and food comes out quick.

My partner and I came for dinner on a hot day; it was not busy at all! We had the whole restaurant to ourselves and while we got our food, people were trickling in. Sore throat and wanted soup, so we decided to get pho! We were happy that it was a normal bowl of pho that satisfied our soup craving. The spring roll was ok. This review is for the Pho I found the broth to be abnormally sweet which threw it off . For the noodles they threw me the noodles used for bun I guess maybe cuz they was closing . This place has always been my "to go" place for Vietnamese takeout. They provided good portion of food at resonable price. I recently placed the order and noticed the price went up quite a bit (understandable as the food/labor cost increased) and the portion went down as well. I don't have an issue spending a little extra than before but once I found a thread with a long hair in my Vermicelli, it completely disgust me (is it from hair net or...? see attached picture) With this being said, I don't think I will be going back to place the order anymore. Togo Review for their Spring Rolls Only** Ordered 2 spring roll orders to-go: Our order was ready quickly after ordering. There was some confusion because I asked for one of the orders without bean sprouts. We went in to pay and the restaurant was clean with plastic dividers separating all the tables. At checkout, they charged me $0.50 per item because it was to-go. They didn't tell me this over the phone and I didn't know about this charge initially, but I paid it anyway. They included utensils and a couple napkins and a large sauce container of peanut sauce. In comparison with another Pho restaurant in the area, the spring rolls are small and expensive for what you get. There were barely any bean sprouts for the order that I asked for with bean sprouts and only 1 shrimp per roll. I have been to other places where there are 3 shrimp pieces per roll and are much bigger. Please see the picture with a quarter for size reference. The last time I ordered from here via a corporate order (I ordered fried rice), the portions were really small which was disappointing given the increased price. I get they have to pay the delivery company, but it's very disappointing if there's so little food that you're still hungry after you eat. I'm not sure how the other dishes were, but my fried rice dish filled maybe half the container. Also, while previous orders were fine, my last order of chicken fried rice was quite dry, almost like it was over cooked or sitting under a heat lamp for too long. I will be ordering from here one more time, and I really hope they can deliver. Have been ordering from here since 2019 (over 5 years now). It used to be without a doubt our favorite pho place in town due to their incredibly flavorful broth. We still love the broth, but there has been a marked decline in the quality of their meats in recent years. I suggest the owners try another local pho place such as Pho Lovers or PhoEver so they can see how far they've fallen in that regard. I still think their broth is one of the best I've ever had, but we order from here significantly less these days due to the mentioned issue. Ambiance of the place is pretty chill. It was my first time here at this pho location and I have to say it did not disappoint. My cousin ordered a combo rice plate and I ordered the thin beef pho. We also got an appetizer of the fried tofu. For the combo rice plate, everything was really good. The rice was actually kind of soggy. It should be a little bit more firm to go with the fish sauce. The pho broth was actually really decent and pure. The beef sliced could have been a little bit more thinner just because it was kind of chewy. The fried tofu was on the spot. It could have been fried a little bit longer to get more of a crunchy on the surface and soft in the inside, but it was really good, especially with the sweet-and-sour dip. The ambience was nice. We went on a Saturday afternoon and it wasn't as busy as we thought it would be. Every table was close by a clear divider, making it very private, yet open for waiter/waitress to bring your food. Pho #1 is honestly among some of my most favorite pho spots in the South Bay. I know I know, a top pho spot outside of San Jose?! Just hear me out! For starters, their summer rolls were packed full and quite fresh, a good indicator of what was to come. We got the Bun Bo Hue and the Pho Combo #1 which included all the usual cuts of beef plus oxtail. I would HIGHLY recommend paying $1 extra for the fresh, wide rice noodles. These are considerably softer than the standard pho noodles and do a way better job of soaking up the broth. The Pho Combo #1 broth was incredibly addicting with just the right amount of oil that just makes you come back for more. The oxtail here was also a welcome addition that made the broth even richer - falling apart at the slightest touch and just melting in your mouth. As a huge fan of Bun Bo Hue, Pho #1's rendition did not disappoint either. You could taste the shrimp paste and pork blood in the broth and it was also chock full of delicious cuts such as pork hock, fish cake, and beef shank! Again, the fresh, flat rice noodle really works well with the BBH, soaking up all the delicious, spicy oil. I will definitely be back to try more but don't sleep on this Sunnyvale pho spot! read more
