Iced Matcha
Rachel L.

I decided to take advice from a tik tok and visit Philz for matcha. I've been to Philz before and I do enjoy their coffee! But I don't think I'll order a matcha again, it was grainy and the taste of the matcha was very floral. I didn't taste like matcha to me. They're a busier location so prepare to wait a bit longer. They have very kind staff and despite them being busier they offer great service! I'd definitely just go for the coffee the next time.

Convenient quick and go coffee shop that's open early enough for me to grab before work. I like how I can order it in the app and it'll be ready for me to pick up when I get there. Not much to say about actual customer service since I just grab and go. When I first tried Philz years ago, I would always go for their Mint Mojito because it combines a perfect mix between creamy and sweet with a touch of mint. Then, I moved on to their Honey Haze with the philtered soul cold brew because again it had that sweet taste that I like. From then on, anything with the philtered soul cold brew is my cup of tea (or shall I say coffee in this case). This visit, I tried the Tiramisu, which came greatly recommended. I heard people say to try it medium creamy and medium sweet, which was perfect for me. I have a sweet tooth, so it wasn't overly sweet and not watery-- it was just right. I also tried their pistachio croissant that had pistachio-almond cream and pistachio topping. It was good for a quick bite alongside my coffee. My next coffee try will have to be the Cashew Cocoa, so will definitely be back soon.

Philz coffee is my favorite coffee spot in OC! I can't rave enough about it. Their coffees always get me wired and locked in. The coffee is delicious when served sweet and creamy and the staff is always nice to adjust your drink if you don't like it. I typically order the Iced Mint Mojito as its fresh, sweet, delicious and comes with fresh mint! This time I opted for the new seasonal Cashew Cocoa. This drink was also delicious, but a little too sweet for me, and if you don't like cashew milk I would opt for a different beverage. The pastries are on the sweeter side, so keep that in mind if you order the almond croissant or cinnamon roll, but the flavor is there. The blueberry muffin was probably my favorite as it was so moist and paired well with my coffee. This Orange establishment is nice and offers games (like most Philz') so you and your friends/family can play, while enjoying a coffee or pastry. The company even offers used coffee ground to take home for your garden - a full recycle moment! The staff is always pleasant and friendly, and each barista usually has a name tag in front of their station. If the place is busy (and it can be busy) you can also order online for a quick grab and go! The coffee, staff, and atmosphere keep me visiting the delicious Philz Coffee. Thank you!

Good neighborhood spot for coffee and some quit work space. Friendly staff that explain what's in each drink. A decent selection of pastries. All along I thought they only had brewed coffee. Little didn't know.

I love this Philz location. Nice dog friendly patio and outdoor seating. There are some parking spots. I been lucky never have trouble finding a spot. Customer service is never an issue here I come here for 1. Drink. Mint mojito. They ask how I like it. I always opt for what they recommend. Always easy to drink. Refreshing. Balanced just right

The location in Orange is cute, on the smaller size but still what you'd expect from Philz. Good friendly neighborhood service and delicious drinks. I got a mocha tesora iced and it was just as I get back in SF. It's consistent which is what I expect and want which was great. Limited seating and parking but a nice place to stop by if you're hanging around the area dining or shopping.

I have been meaning to come and visit this place for some time now, got a gift card for my birthday recently and took the chance to finally give it a try! This place was so cute and did not disappoint, the overall environment and customer service was great!! I'm fully caffeine free right now and they had delicious options for me! I ordered the Berry Bloom and they even had samples at the register to try. My husband had the Arabic brewed coffee and said it was good but he should have added an extra shot of espresso as it wasn't as strong as he had hoped. We also ordered pastries, the chocolate and almond croissants, I wish the chocolate croissant had more chocolate in it but it was still good! One thing I loved that not most places do is that they used the same cups for either cold or hot drinks. I love how sustainable that is! Not only for the staff but for the environment. There really is no need to change to a clear cup for the cold drinks. I thought that was really neat and different.

Came here for pastries. The place is fairly busy in the mornings but the staff handled it pretty well. They are quite helpful if you have questions. They kept the place clean as well. I got a plain croissant, blueberry cream cheese pastry, and cinnamon pastry. Plain croissant- Served warm. Nice and flaky. Perfect if you want to add cheese and cold cuts. Blueberry cream cheese pastry- This was my favorite! The cream cheese center is rich and custardy with hints of blueberry. The pastry is crisp and flaky. Cinnamon pastry- Love the cinnamon sugar swirl and icing sugar topping. A nice sweet treat! Great experience overall.

Mint mojito & mocha tesora. Such excellent coffee drinks. I love that the coffee taste comes through and the drinks are creamy & chocolate-y. This location is what I imagine a cute neighborhood coffee shop to look like. I've come several occasions mostly around the 9am-ish time & can always find seating. Definitely a great place to catch up with friends. Baristas are friendly & drinks don't take too long to come out. Some to-go parking in the small lot. Honestly I park at the free metrolink parking area & walk over 'cause I don't believe in paying for parking to get coffee or food. My only hope is that Philz will offer a loyalty program one day as they have lots of competition.

Always a fan of their iced mint mojito, regardless of the location. It's sweet, refreshing, and I absolutely love the hint of mint on top. Definitely recommend getting it sweet and creamy!

Philz has new seasonal drinks and I tried their tiramisu latte. This drink was delicious, sweet, and creamy. I love this location in old town orange. There's some parking in front and a good amount of seating indoors and out. It's a beautiful store front and the staff is always so friendly and helpful.

Let's start with the positives: -Extensive menu with pretty much everything you could want for breakfast/lunch. -Portions are more on the generous side -They have seating outside for the long waits for a table -Cute little retro diner aesthetic -I really enjoyed my half cocoa/half coffee drink which the hostess recommended when I told her I couldn't decide. Perfect combo on a rainy day :) I got the ultimate grilled cheese which was just okay, was on the dry side, again nothing special same with the coleslaw and fries. My husband got the Flame grilled steak and eggs, he ordered it medium well and it came well. Our server took it back and brought him a new one no problem. The soup was the only thing that was surprisingly good and had some flavor. I saw some reviews say this is a true no frills diner, and that's pretty spot on but the real issue for me is that everything was dry and lacking flavor. I'm not in a hurry to come back and don't find the weekend wait (about 30-40 minutes for two people on Sunday) to be worth it.

Overall, everything lacked flavor, although I will say the red salsa served with the chips was delicious. My friend ordered the avocado toast, but it was basically just a slice of bread with sliced avocado--no seasoning, condiments, or anything to make it stand out. The small garden salad was equally underwhelming, consisting of only romaine lettuce and cherry tomatoes with no dressing or even a drizzle of olive oil. I ordered the Eggs Benedict, but they were more like open-faced boiled eggs since the yolks were completely hard instead of runny. The café de olla had a nice flavor, but it was much sweeter than expected. I think it would be better if they served it unsweetened (or lightly sweetened) and let customers adjust the sugar to their own taste. I really wanted to enjoy this place because the ambiance is so charming, but the food just didn't live up to the experience.

I ordered a Snooze Classic with egg whites omelette style (well done), a sausage patty, soft hash browns, and an English muffin, along with an extra side of three sausage links. I even called the location beforehand to make sure my eggs and order would be done correctly, but for a simple breakfast, this was a total disaster. The eggs were made wrong anyway, the sausage patty was burnt to a crisp like a hockey puck, the English muffin was hard as a rock, the side of sausage links was overcooked and dry, and the hash browns were burnt and barely there despite explicitly requesting them soft. It honestly seemed like it was someone's first day ever stepping foot in a kitchen. Easily the single worst breakfast I've ever paid for.

LOVE the tapsilog which was basically beef tapa, tomato salad, and egg on top of rice. It was so good, especially with the magi seasoning and their version of spiced vinegar provided on the table. Their French toast was also delicious, though I wish they provided more fruit. The first time I came here I ordered the Adobo Fried Rice Omelet which was alright, I felt the tapsilog had more flavor.
