I haven't been to a Philz before so I have nothing to compare this location to other Philz. While the interior was rather industrial and plain, the staff were warm and friendly, and the drink and food were good; so that's enough reason to rate this place well. I don't go to coffee shops often, so I can't tell if the pricing is fair, but considering I'm in Glendale and my experiences with cafes, it seems about the average. The area was clean enough with enough spacing. I took up a table and worked there for an hour or 2 undisturbed. They use a passkey for the restrooms, I guess to keep random people from walking in and using/trashing it, which I think is good practice. There are 2 individual use restrooms, which were in pretty clean conditions when I went. The sinks are communal outside, which I thought was both a pro and con. Pro, you don't need to go inside the restroom to wash your hands or clean up; Con, you can't clean up in privacy and them door knobs are probably really nasty lol. Aside from that, there was really nothing that stuck out. I don't have anything to complain about (which is a good thing) and everything else was nice enough. Not amazing where I can talk about it, but at a level of what I would expect and appreciate. So all in all, it's a normal cafe you can grab a coffee and snack to go, or sit down and work/study/pass time, and while that seems uninteresting and contradictory to a good review, I think it's important to have access to an environment like that with decent standards. I chose for mine to be unsweetened and it was still delicious. I got one of their most reviewed drinks- the Tesoro. The coffee is a medium blend with caramel notes. Keep in mind- it's a bit pricier than a normal cup of joe (mine was around $5). But the quality was fantastic. Plus when the cashier found out it was my first time there I got a free piece of baklava. And that was really yummy with the coffee. Five stars for stellar service and quality. The mint mojito was everything! I've actually have been laying off caffeine so I ordered a decaf, but it was still so good! It reminds me of the thin mint cookies. The bitterness of the coffee compliments the mint perfectly and it actually has mint leaves inside the drink. Mine started to get really sweet at the bottom, but apparently you can ask for it to be less sweet and I would definitely recommend doing so that way you can enjoy it all the way to the end. I'm a big Starbucks fan/customer but I love stopping by Philz Coffee from time to time when in Glendale for a mint mojito iced coffee. I absolutely love the way it tastes and smells. It's creamy and has the right amount of sweetness. They make their drinks with freshly ground coffee that is then dripped through a coffee filter. Made to order, no pre made iced coffee is used here. I never tried anything else from here so I can only write the review for the mint mojito iced coffee. DELICIOUS and PERFECT. Try it. The service is always great. Friendly and helpful baristas. Don't get me wrong. I love Philz Coffee. I used to live at the Americana and came here all the time when they first opened up. The staff is also hard working and generally nice. My issue is that this Philz has become so popular that it seems to have become the nexus of all coffee in Glendale or something. I feel like I could travel to Columbia, plant some coffee, farm and roast it, bro g it back here, grind it and have a cup of good coffee faster. Sadly, it's become so crowded it's a mess. I just waited 45 min for. A cup of coffee the app said I would have in 10 min. There's a ton of other great local coffee shops in Glendale that I will recommend over Philz now simply because the wait has actually usurped the quality. Anyway. I hope they are taking this in to account and maybe learn to scale better so I don't have to book my next appointment for 2024. read more

I love Philz, so this review isn't of Philz but instead of this location, where my experience is consistently disappointing due to the extremely slow service. The staff constantly to struggles to keep up with the demand and it takes an excessively long time to place my order and receive my drink. I also noticed that other customers were experiencing similar delays. The quality of the coffee is good, but it's difficult to fully enjoy it due to the frustration of the slow service. I would not recommend this coffee shop to anyone in a rush or looking for efficient service. It may be worth considering for a leisurely, relaxed coffee experience, but even then, there are likely more efficient options available. If you need your Philz fix. Order online. Glendale folk are seriously trippin on this place. Is the coffee any good? I wouldn't know because service is so bad I couldn't get any. We came by Saturday around 7pm. Not too late considering they close at 9. There were about 4-5 people sitting, some with drinks some without, and 8 people ahead of us in line. Before we left another 6 joined the line. We watched 4 workers running around like headless chickens doing who knows what. They all had pitchers and cups and bottles and everything to "make" the drinks, but in the 15 minutes we waited in line, only one drink was actually handed to a customer who had been sitting at the tables. No worker ever looked up to the line, no worker ever greeted anyone or apologized about the wait, and in those 15 minutes only one customer was helped in line. read more

This shop is located right on Brand Blvd across the street from the Americana. I stopped by for a little pick-me-up while I was shopping. They have some tables out front and some seating inside. There's a large menu behind the coffee bar that outlines all their coffee flavors, with captions underneath outlining the flavor profiles, and they have some tea selections too. The staff are so friendly, they don't rush you, and they help you choose exactly what you want, if you need help deciding, and help personalize it to how you want it. Once the drink is made, they make sure you're happy with it and gladly will remake it for you if you're dissatisfied. I went with their classic mint mojito, iced, with no sweetener, and with oat milk. No matter what you get, if it's iced or hot, it comes in a cardboard cup. There are two sizes - small and large. You can specify which milk you'd like and how much sweetener you want in it, "light sweet," "medium sweet," etc. The mint mojito coffee is so good and it wakes you up even more with the mint leaves. There's a reason it's the most popular flavor! I also tried a sip of my boyfriend's iced coffee, Philtered Soul (flavor descriptors: hazelnut, chocolate) and it had a nutty sweet flavor, great for curbing a sweet craving.
