Glendale businesses are almost back to "normal" and then consequently so is this Starbucks: one of my favorite "bucks in my general living area. It was not very busy this morning at approximately 7am so i could watch how the service issues were handled. As a rule, the service at this unit is first rate and today the staff was right on point. Plus the Barista, who has been here for several years, made my Cappuccino as per my order: a drink that not many Baristas get right very often. Basically it is a lots of foam, not much milk Cappuccino...or in 'bucks parlance...a dry Capp. The Barista (sorry i did not get her name) is also very competent, pleasant and personable: things that i appreciate. The physical plant is spotless as is the rest room. All the shelves are full with product ready for sale. It is obvious this unit has strong, detail oriented management. I mean you can't sell product if is is sitting in the stockroom and this takes strong, specific management. This is a smaller Starbucks so they must constantly "police" the sales area so as to keep up the COVID protocols. A very good, early morning experience here at one of my fave Starbucks. The drinks are great I ordered Mocha Cookie Crumb Frappuccino and my friend ordered an ice macia I received mine but lily who helped me but got the order wrong. We waited over 15 minutes and it was not addressed. The ambiance was a little noisy. I was very Disappointed with the service. I wish they appreciated every customer and correct the wrong order. Busy Starbucks on Brand. I have been here a few times while in the area. It doesn't have any sitting area. It's a smaller location. Parking is hard to find but if you are lucky sometimes you will park right in front of it like I did today. My son wanted to try this drink. I don't even remember the name. I paid $7 for a venti size, came home he threw it in the trash. He only took a few sips in the car. I guess it was that bad for my teenager to throw it away. That why I only get coffee drinks from Starbucks. Mostly an iced coffee with milk. Why is Starbucks serving such horrible bad ingredient drinks and foods .... Customer service was great. I've been here four times now. The first and third visits? Great, respectful service from staff and the manager. Second time? Served by the same cashier from today, flat-out rude, off mood. Today Tuesday, September 9 -- 8:47AM, same cashier again. When I walked in, she was already attending to one customer respectfully. The second customer in line got excellent service, probably the best you could ask for. But when it was my turn as the third customer, she walked away from the register and refused to take my order. The manager had to step in to take my order. Then while she and another employee were making my drink, they were laughing and side talking. I felt completely disrespected and unsafe. But the moment a group of three people came in, she jumped right back to the register and attended to them immediately. So she absolutely saw me standing there, but chose not to acknowledge me. That's not tiredness or busy, that's intentional bad service. It's hard not to notice when certain customers get treated well while others get brushed off. That kind of selective service sends a clear message, and it's not a good one. As a customer I expect basic common decency and equal treatment. Plain and simple. read more

WTF guys! I'm fully aware that Starbucks has recipes for all of their drinks right? Yes, they do. Which would mean that if I order a drink here or in Las Vegas, they should taste the same. However, this Starbucks seems to wing it with every drink. I don't know how or why they do it, but this Starbucks sucks, sucks hard. I ordered my usually drink, it was short by a lot which it assume they left to add whip to my drink (which I requested) but decided to just add the top and hand it off. It didn't feel too short , but once I got to my office I opened it up to eat the whip (totally the best part) but it wasn't there. It wasn't added because I can tell when the whip has melted into my drink, but it wasn't the case today. Then when I tasted it, I could tell they didn't add enough white mocha either. This is one of the Starbucks locations that I sometimes go since it's close to where I live and there is street parking available. They seem to always mess up on my basic order. This last time my iced coffee tasted like everything but my simple order. It was very watery, tasted like hazelnut, and I could also taste something else that I can't explain. The employees are not as friendly as other stores and in the past they made mistakes on charging me extra for which I had to drive back and get a refund cause they couldn't fix it on the phone and this happened twice. read more

No indoor seating no outdoor seating. Every other restaurant has spaced indoor seating but not this one. Plenty of room on the sidewalk for a couple of tables, but there are none. The staff here have no clue what they are doing and this is truly unfortunate because this is a small, congested space. It's even more unfortunate for me because this is the closest Starbucks to my home without having to drive to elsewhere or visit the target location (which gets things done right). First issue is that when you place an order through the app they neglect to see the receipt print out and actually make the order. I've tried this ordering method at least five times at this location and it always ends up with me waiting longer than I would have if I walked in and ordered. Basically I have to ask where my drink is and then they go over and find the receipt and start to make my order rushing the entire time. I leave with a drink that tastes subpar. Today my husband went down and ordered a Grande Doubleshot with whip, an Venti Green Tea, and a Sausage and Cheddar Sandwich. The cashier rang it up as a Double Espresso and when my husband said that he ordered a Doubleshot there was an exchange about how that wasn't the right way to order it. Really stupid because that is the actual name of the drink. A Double Espresso should be called a Double Espresso and not considered a Double Shot by the cashier. They are inexperienced with their menu items. After getting that cleared up the drinks came out wrong anyway. They delivered the Doubleshot without whip, the green tea was in a grande size and had whip. Getting this corrected was a nightmare. Second try the tea came in the right size but still had whip. Eye roll. You guys are serving up coffee drinks that at this point are truly easy to make, wake up and figure out your life! Target here I come! read more

Love this store, the baristas are so pleasant to interact with. I almost always get paid a compliment by someone behind the counter. Which leads me to believe the people complaining about the customer service in these reviews are just generally unhappy individuals who believe that because a person works at a place they deserve to be dehumanized.. believes that even when a location is short staffed, that their Starbucks is more important then the health and personal lives of the team preparing it. I usually really like this place, people there seem friendly. But for two days straight they've closed early and the app never reflects this. I know there are shortages and people are sick. I get it. This has been my "go to" Starbucks after a run, but Avoid if you have COVID concerns. I was in there this morning and they don't seem to be enforcing the mask requirement. Saw a few people walking in and out and being served without a mask. Also, they don't seem to be enforcing the 5 person rule. I was in there and there were definitely more than 7 customers inside. Because of COVID, I guess I will start using the app more to get in and out quicker, instead of the usual 20 minutes. read more

Small & busy Starbucks location on Brand Blvd. Long wait even during a mid-morning stop we made for some coffee and breakfast sammiches to go before heading out to the beach. A little too long IMO. The wait to order was too long and the wait for our order was too. They even messed up on one of the sandwiches because they forgot to hold the cheese. Had to wait even longer as it was for them to make/heat another one up. Parking can also be an issue being located on Brand Bl between Broadway & Wilson. Park and pay at the machine by entering your parking space number... I hate to give it 3 stars only as they could have been just understaffed but I've had several friends work at some of the busiest Starbucks locations in the valley so I feel like I have an idea of how it's supposed to run. I came here trying to redeem gold card/member benefits and the barista wouldn't give it to me unless I was actually using my gold card. Pretty ridiculous because afterwards I went home and looked up the Starbucks Rewards terms and conditions and right there it says: "You do not need to use your gold Starbucks Card to receive Gold Level benefits - you may use any Starbucks Card registered to your account." I go to Starbucks way more than I should but usually avoid this location like the plague. Today I made the mistake of stopping by and per usual had some of the rudest baristas ever. Apparently their sticker machine is down so they are unable to keep track of orders. I had to ask multiple times for my pastry order as did several other customers. The baristas acted like they were helpless without their sticker machine and that we should be grateful we got our orders at all. Starbucks: a coffee-slinging consumer staple, whether you like it or not. We've all tried it out at least once, whether it was because we were severely caffeine-deprived and needed SOMETHING ANYTHING OH GOD GIVE ME THE JITTERS OR I WILL DIE! ... or because it was the only stop readily available on a long trip... or because you were curious. For me, I needed something to wake up with, and I desperately wanted some sort of breakfast sandwich. Starbucks called me, and I crossed the street and ordered. The inside is very dark, the set-up is cramped and awkward, but their display case is full of carbs in the way of sweets and savories (including that sausage, egg & cheese breakfast sandwich I was hopeful of). The menu is like it is at all other locations, and the staff was moving around, replacing old coffee with new coffee and fixing up drink orders. The clientele either comes in as a flood or a constant trickle of customers in need of a fix. It's a standard Starbucks with the standard offerings for the masses.
