Came here with a local and was pretty impressed with this place. It's unique in that it's plant based but does have some add on animal based products for those who don't just do veg/ vegan. The atmosphere here is very nice with both outdoor or indoor seating. On a nice day totally recommend the outdoor seating. The Restaurant is located a a small shopping outpost of a cool coffee shop and the famous Cinnalolic vegan cinnamon rolls next door. They are open for both lunch and dinner but do close between those times. Everything is made from scratch and I would say the food is Ayurvedic which is an Indian term meaning knowledge of life. It has some Indian influences, some Mexican, even some Israeli options. They also incorporate a fusion of everything in between. For example they let you choose traditional rice but also make a sweet potato rice as an option. They also have a complete line of heathy shots like turmeric ginger beets and greens you can get as a flight. They also incorporate a lot of fermented options in their dishes so I'd say this place is more like a wellness foods cafe of sorts. Waitress here is super friendly and informative on the menu. After reviewing what was recommended I opted to try out the cream of broccoli soup that was made with cashews as a starter. I also went with the kitchari as I'm always a fan of lentils and rice porridge. My friend got the green mole sweet potato enchilada plate. I like how they ask you how you want your food whether you want things spaced out or all together. They also bring nice tall glasses of water and you get actual linen napkins rolled up in your silverware. It's the attention to details that matter. Regarding the food the soup was actually surprisingly pretty large for a cup. It was creamy and was still light and not too heavy. They sprinkled some sumac and hemp seeds on top. Pretty darn good. The kitchari is a bit different than the normal where the rice and lentils are all cooked together. This one is more like a rice bowl where the curry lentils and spices are on top of the rice. They make this dish with a choice of sweet potato rice or regular brown rice. I was told the more firm regular rice went better with this dish so went for that option. It comes with Vermonter veggies and mint and n top. Super simple but great tasting for lunch. The portion size was perfectly filling. My friend loved his enchilada late too. Last but not least they have a few vegan desert options. Normally I'm not a person to do do desert after lunch but could not resist trying out their chocolate coconut mousse. I was told it was not too sweet and it was just a small coconut shell portion. It came nicely presented with fresh strawberries in top. Perfectly creamy and very much recommend if you like chocolate. Overall if you are into healthy eating and a nice relaxing atmosphere you definitely should come here. I also thought the prices were reasonable considering the freshly made innovative cuisine. There was some sort of kitchen backup going on when we visited, so despite arriving at noon for our reservation and ordering shortly after (the waitress disappeared for a while and then apologized for forgetting to take our order), we didn't receive our food until well after 1pm. I'm sure our order was handled in the correct sequence, but it's hard to recommend an hour+ wait for two tacos. Other tables appeared pretty restless as well! Our waitress then apologized for the delay and even said that she would comp something on our order (we didn't ask)...but then she forgot to do that. Aside from the service delays, the food was of solid quality. My lemon cold brew coffee was probably the most interesting coffee I've had, and the mushrooms on the farm to table tacos are the best part -- nice burst of flavor in those. read more

I first saw Pharm Table on Yelp a while back when it was at Radius. It struck me because I spent much time at Radius years ago and was curious to see how it changed. Somehow didn't get to check it out then. This past Sunday, my husband and I were looking for a lunch/brunch place in the downtown area and wanted to visit a park afterwards. Pharm Table at the current location popped up and we had a phenomenal experience. I love the outdoor seating area and noticed the blankets available at each table. I get cold very easily and totally appreciate this fine touch. Only one other restaurant have that for their guests. My initial impression that it was a vegan-only restaurant and I was mistaken. I was really excited looking through the menu with the variety of flavors that were all healthy, vegetarian, vegan, and non-vegan! For drinks, I had the Full Moon Party while my husband had the Kombucha Rosewater and a wellness shot of beet. For appetizers, we had the Nikkei Style Tiradito (from Hawaii) and Thai Zucchini Noodle Salad with Persian Chicken. For our entrees, I had the Detoxing Kitchari with basmati rice and Salmon Gravlov from New Zealand (beet-stained) and my husband had the Smoked Mole Verde Enchiladas with Farm Egg. We had the Brazilian Spiced Pineapple and the Sweet Potato Carob Chocolate Brownies for a sweet ending. I also tried the Matcha Chai with Golden Milk. Golden Milk is a mix of almond milk, dates, saffron, Ceylon cinnamon, ginger turmeric, and cardamom. So good even by itself! Our taste buds were dancing! We felt full and knew everything was healthy! So privileged to have had Elizabeth, the owner, serve us and share her recommendations. Pharm Table is woman-owned and women-led (majority of leadership positions are women). Aside from Elizabeth serving us, there were 2 other ladies who checked in with us to ask us if we needed anything and if everything was tasting right. Visited San Antonio for 4 days and this happened to be our first stop in the city. I'm from California and we have a TON of places that are similar to this so my standards were pretty high. I must say the service was exceptional, we sat at the bar and right away our bartender greeted us with a warm welcome and provided us with the menu.. I really enjoyed their mimosas and other alcoholic beverages (can't remember all of the names since I was very tipsy by th 3rd mimosa). The ambiance of this place is very relaxing and chill, their decor is lovely and fun to look at. I do give them props for the creative dishes they have the on menu and the food photographs beautifully I also like the fact that they have some vegetarian options since I am vegetarian. Unfortunately when it comes to the taste of the food, I was not impressed. It was overpriced which is expected honestly, but I wouldn't even bother with the price if the food was good. Overall, I would only recommend this place for their drinks. I'm not sure about their other menu options so this is only based on the dishes I tried. Here's what we ordered Curried Kitchari Bowl- This wasn't bad but it was only a very small portion of rice with curry and lots of grilled veggies. It has a smoky finish that I enjoyed but I hate how overpriced this was. Considering there was no protein. It's really just rice, some curry sauce and veggies. I will say it's a light breakfast and you won't feel overstuffed after eating it. I would say that everything here is good. However, it is not worth the price point. The ambiance is really nice and romantic. I love the vibes. The service was really good. Everyone was super sweet and nice. They knew their menu well. The food was fresh and tasty. The only thing is that their portion is small. I came out hungry. I ordered hummus for the table and they charged us extra for the tortillas bread which was only 3 pieces. We had to order more which they charged extra for too. Yes, it's right in front of The Tobin. Smack dab in front of it in fact. My phone GPS acted kinda wonky when I was trying to find it, so if you have the same issue I had, just find your way to the front of The Tobin and you'll spot it. I had the Mexican Huarache and it wasn't too bad - just too heavy on the beets for my tastes. Here's the description from their online menu: "Oversized masa "sandal", sprouted black bean puree, roasted & raw beets, carrots, cilantro coconut chutney, house salsa." I seem to remember the menu description at the restaurant being a bit different, and you can see in the photo it had shredded radish and pumpkin seeds too. They have online ordering, so you might want to ask them what's in each dish if you're ordering online. It's very vegan friendly but they also have beef, pork, and chicken that you can add to your salad, bowl, or pizza. It's a casual place that you can feel comfortable in shorts and a t-shirt in. They're open from 11a to 3p seven days a week. It's walkup counter order service and then they bring your food out to you. The description on my Nikkei Stole Tiraditto didn't mention about raw fish and I thought this would be more like a decent sized dish. I expected the side of Gravlox Salmon to be small. I finished everything under 5 bites! Flavor wise, food was fresh and had a good combination of sour and sweetness. Maybe next time I need to try a build my own bowl or so. After hearing rave reviews from friends living in San Antonio and as a nearly life king vegetarian, I was excited to check this spot out. While I had to opt for takeout, picking up my order afforded me the chance to appreciate the elevated, open air vibe, with an intimate patio and high-ceiling interior. Service was prompt and friendly, and while part of my order was initially forgotten, the error was quickly corrected. The farm to table tacos are exactly that. Talk about vegetarian taco heaven! Fresh, dense (in the perfect way to hold up the filling) corn tortillas cup a filling packed with more flavors and textures than you can pinpoint in just one bite. The Asian meets classic Mexican flavors offers a creative combo that will leave you craving more after the last bite. The Green Goddess Salad similarly delivers on fresh, farm to table ingredients, though the roasted veggies in mine were solely okra. The flavor concept is vast and colorful with zest, umami and earthy delight. I had been craving something healthy after a huge move from 3 states away. I wasn't eating well for about 2 weeks, so coming here got me back on track with my desire to eat healthy. I started with the cashew soup and I was impressed with how earthy and nutty my soup was. I didn't order drinks however my friends did and they loved their drinks... I took a sip of each and they were tasty. I was impressed with many aspects of our dining experience the server, the bartender and then there was the host. He was the dark cloud in the experience. Hopefully he will learn that he is the first impression on this exquisite restaurant and learn to place his darkvibe of emotions to the side while at work. Came to Pharm Table randomly for lunch on a Saturday afternoon because we were in the area. Was pleasantly surprised. The options were unique to me and such interesting combinations. The guacamole was delicious! I had a salad with a flight of fresh juices and my husband had the fish tacos. Everything was so clean, fresh, and tasty! Can't go without mentioning the service was exceptional. The manager came by and asked how everything was and even gave us more detail on how things were made and how they came up with some of the plates they have on their menu. The Kitchari bowl was packed with color and nutritional value that brought immediate taste and comfort. One could say that the vitamins in these foods took an immediate effect. This is my first visit to the Pharm Table truck at their new location on South Alamo Street with their updated menu. My last visit to their old location was underwhelming, and generally I was convinced not to go back. But I came to grab some coffee with a friend at Brown and saw the food truck in the parking lot, so we decided to give it a second try, and I was not disappointed! I got Matcha Chai and Cauliflower Tamarind Curry with a side of jalapeño sauerkraut, and loved both. The cauliflower curry was warm and sauteed to perfection, and the sauerkraut was refreshing. My friend isn't a vegan so he got a vegan bowl and added chicken to it. I loved my meal and so glad I gave Pharm Table a second try. First time at Pharm Table. The restaurant is so cute, some rustic, barn house kind of feel. They have a wide selection of items which I was very surprised of and everything sounds so delicious. Definitely read through the menu carefully cause there are so many ingredients in each. Settled with the Tunisian Salad and the Paleo Salad. Love both of them. With anything on the menu, you have the option of staying vegan or adding protein likes chicken, pork belly, beef and tofu (at additional cost). Both the salads were very fresh, filling, vibrant and with great mix of texture. You feel rejuvenated after eating it which was an amazing feeling. Just in love with the food and definitely will be making my way back there soon! Apart from the stunning selection of salads, they also have smoothie bowls, tacos, ceviches, quinoa bowls, etc. Just a huge selection of great food. Parking is limited however, but it is free. But if no spots are available, there are plenty of parking around the restaurant. And the location is right next to the Tobin Center of the Performing Arts as well, so definitely not hard to find at all. One star off is just because we did waited for about 20 minutes for the food to come out. And I mean, it's salad. We did get our Matcha Chai right away though and those were pretty good as well. We made reservations for brunch and were sternly told that our entire party needed to be there on time or they wouldn't honor our reservation -- interesting first impression. We arrived on time - 5 minutes early - and were told to wait because the inside wasn't open yet. We waited and then watched as other guests arriving after us were set (inside and out) Then another host asked why we were waiting, if we had a reservation. We said yes (again), she then proceeded to get water and menus for other guests sat (presumably these were her family or friends). She finally passed us off to another host and he sat us. Just as water was being poured, we were told that we were sat at the wrong table and moved, carrying our water with us. Finally we got to eat and were saved by the wonderful waitress. Attended a "Cuban Popup" 1/21/24 $30.00 per person, $41.00 after fees I was expecting a Cuban dinner, fabulous art, and the artist to discuss his work . A few hors d'oeuvres we passed around and they had more lined up on the counter in paper boats for self service. There was no seating, we had to stand the entire time. The artist had taken a few photographs which he shared along with his promoting his travel experiences to Cuba, very average. No one asked us if we had purchased or to see our tickets, I imagine most people there didn't pay.
