Pros: staff seem to be friendly, I had to call and ask a question prior to arriving (they answered right away) & caviar was tasty. Cons: it was only two of us, we sat at the bar and when I received the bill it had a large party added charge on there luckily I noticed and asked about it but if I hadn't the bill would have been almost 20-30$ more (this was a major red flag to me and odd), mind you the also add a random "wellness charge" I'm not sure what's that for nor was it explained. The ceviche was bland and very small in size. Lastly they only had one bottle of wine by the glass but I will say they do have a wine place connected next door if you want more options for wine. Overall decent place to go but I lowered my rating mostly due to that large party charge and even with her attempting to explaining what happened it really didn't make much sense and almost felt intentional as tho they wanted to just make more money off us. I want to feel like a valued customer not that a place is trying to rip me off. read more

Hoping Miles is another piece of the puzzle that helps revive St. Paul Square, just east of downtown San Antonio! Decided to check it out for a casual Sunday Funday, and I really dig what they're doing here. Miles tinkers with a cool, jazzy vibe, but don't let that fool you into thinking it's only for one crowd. You get all walks of life coming through, and if you're a fan of music, good cocktails and trying something a little different...you'll probably dig this place. I also love what they've done with the bar compared to the old Francis Bogside setup. I always felt Bogside might have survived had they been able to stay at their previous location. Hopefully Miles can change the story here and help bring some new life to St. Paul Square. Now, the food... We went with the ceviche, Miles Burger, French Fry Service and Bread Service. The ceviche has an almost Asian-fusion twist to it...super fresh, flavorful and came out quickly. The Miles Burger is an easy go-to. Get it medium and you won't be disappointed. And if you like fish, they have something called the Happy Meal special. I'm not even going to ruin that one for you...just go check it out! The French Fry Service and Bread Service were both great. I especially recommend those two if you're just stopping in to get your night started...particularly if 1902 is your next stop afterward. Now the cocktails... I had the Dizzy Bee; great cocktail and a killer presentation. The whole honeycomb crisp garnish was a really nice touch. Then there's the Pink Noise. This one leans a little more toward the ladies, in my opinion, but the presentation is very cool. That hibiscus-grapefruit air floating over the cocktail definitely makes this one stand out. Overall, Miles is a great addition to an area of downtown that I really want to see thrive again. And the beauty of St. Paul Square is that if Miles isn't necessarily your vibe, there are plenty of other spots within walking distance to make a night of it. Lastly, the staff was excellent...very helpful and made some great suggestions for us being new to the place. That always makes a first visit better. Hands down, the "Butcher's Cut" was one of the best steak dishes I've ever had in my life. The sauce was **PERFECTION!!!!!** Kudos to the chef for doing their big one because that steak was everything. Everything else we ordered was good, but that steak definitely stole the show. Also, I definitely didn't expect the fried chicken to come in a bucket LOL. The ambience here was sexy and intimate--such a great vibe. Came here on Wednesday night. For the folks who don't know, they offer validated parking for up to 3 hours if you dine in their establishment just a few blocks down. Just call them for the code. They had a pretty classy entryway which led into a converted dive bar feel kind of restaurant. They offer different kinds of seating to include table, bar, side, Booth, etc. So that was nice. We got the booth seating. First off, they have a happy hour menu! Several dollars off drinks, you can see the menu in my photo. They have their own signature cocktails but make classic cocktails as well. They can also modify some of them to your liking. I got the pink noise and their old fashioned. Thought the pink noise was a little sweet for my taste but overall still enjoyed it. I felt their food items were kind of limited, but despite that, they were very good. We got their Green goddess salad to start which was light and refreshing and did not contain cyclospora. We also got their blooming onion which was nicely fried and full umami. For the entree we got the STEAK! Portions were just right and cooked a perfect medium rare. We would definitely visit this place again. read more

Miles Bistro is a must-visit downtown! We had the Butcher's Cut and the Miles Burger, and both were outstanding. The steak was perfectly cooked with incredible umami, and the gochujang carrot butter, soy-glazed potatoes, and salsa macha made every bite memorable. The burger was rich and flavorful with the fried egg mayo, white cheddar, pickles, and onions all working together perfectly. The cocktails were just as impressive. Pink Noise was fun, creative, and refreshing, making it an easy favorite. Service was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive, and the ambiance was modern, lively, and perfect for a night out. Last night was our second visit to Miles and we expect to be back over and over again. We had the martini and rum punch to start with seasoned fries then had salads, fried chicken, a bread plate and chocolate mousse. I never thought much of mousse as a dessert until now! Food: The steak was also cooked exactly to our liking, and the potatoes were soft without being mushy. The carrot sauce was the perfect consistency, and had a very unique flavor profile that included the best nutty finish. The fries were crispy, well seasoned, and adorned with a healthy amount of Parmesan cheese. The accompanying sauce had a nice lemony taste that balanced the sharp Parmesan flavor. Service: We were seated at the bar, and both bar tenders who helped us were attentive, yet gave us space to enjoy the meal. This place is absolutely amazing! From parking, which which was free if you got the code from the restaurant to just walking into the place. You kind of felt like you went back in time. Wood floors, a grand staircase and a fantastic long bar. Stained glass windows and high ceilings add the perfect downtown touch. We started out with the bread service which had charcoal infused bread and the bread was Parker Rolls. That was absolutely delicious especially when you add the French butter infuse with their olive oil and it had pickled radishes and little gherkin pickles. Each of those items together made the perfect bite. Next, I have the fried chicken which came with half a chicken coleslaw and a couple of pickled jalapeños. This has been the most flavorful and moist fried chicken I've ever had. The coleslaw added that perfect southern bite to it when combined together. I enjoyed all this with a drink, called a Planters Punch. It had rum and passionfruit and other citruses altogether. It was very refreshing. We most definitely will be going back. The weight staff was very attentive and efficient, and we felt very welcomed. This place has a great vibe to it. read more

You know, I was very curious about this place after i read an article on Instagram about it. It's nice enough inside. I didn't eat, and I only had drinks which were ok. However, there's wasn't much else that lived up to the namesake. I thought I was going into a jazz bar, but it was just a bar. I didn't have food so I didn't experience the bistro aspect. But, it's the music that was obviously absent. That made it just another overpriced joint in tourist-town SA. read more
