This is a pretty nice brunch place. It's super hip and chic everything and all the decor is pink. Our bartender a server were very attempt to get nice. The food was delicious. I quite enjoyed my lychee seasonal martini. I definitely will return and how they recommend this spot. I hope you enjoy and have a great experience like I did.

The restaurant itself is cute. The food is very good, as well as the lattes. The service was lacking; not due to our server being impolite by any means. However, after a 45 minute wait, we ordered our food as soon as the server finally greeted us and still had to wait 45 minutes for our drinks and food. While expected when busy, we did note that nearly every table around us who sat down after/ordered after us received their food in a much more timely manner. But the server was very polite, nonetheless.

I really enjoyed this place. Service was friendly and helpful. My chilaquiles was so delicious I didn't want to leave anything on the plate. The matcha was one of the best I've had. We sat outside so it was a bit hot, they need more fans. My niece said her sandwich was just okay. The best part was the bacon jam and there wasn't very much of it. Will definitely return to try all the other options. There is also a cute park around the corner for kids since you can't make reservations this is a good place for them to wait without complaining.

This has to be the cutest brunch spot in San Antonio. The interior decorator was on to something here. I visited this location on a Sunday afternoon before my flight. The place was packed and the wait time was 45 mins. Luckily, someone was leaving from the bar so I was able to get a seat immediately. I ordered the doughnuts to start and they were good. My entree option was the breakfast sandwich with the chicken and a side of fries. It was delicious and humongous! I couldn't finish it all. I also ordered mimosa with cranberry juice and I was given a complimentary celebratory drink and doughnut! Such a cute and thoughtful touch!

Box St. All Day at Hemisfair is one of my favorite brunch spots in downtown San Antonio. Tucked into Hemisfair Park, it offers a beautiful setting that feels both lively and relaxed. The stylish, Instagram-worthy atmosphere makes it a great place to meet friends or enjoy a family brunch. The menu features a strong selection of brunch items, but my go-to order is the carajillo with eggs on avocado toast. Everything is consistently fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. After brunch, you can stroll through Hemisfair Park and explore the surrounding downtown area. The walkable, scenic setting makes the experience feel like more than just a meal. If you're looking for great food, drinks, and atmosphere, Box St. All Day is definitely worth a visit.

Came for a Bach brunch! Definitely make a reservation but the food was great! Our server had great recommendations for which latte and the house juices. It was such a cute place to eat and very picture worthy! The have a good amount of tables and plenty of space inside and out! I got the eggs Benny and it was DELICIOUS!!

I love the location of this place, you can walk around after having a full belly. The site of World fair in 1968 with many water features. Jesse the waiter is very nice, polite and knowledgeable. The shirts "bs all day" is very cute, super tempted to get one. We ordered chilaquiles, French toast, steak-egg and fries. Plus crème brûlée donut. We ordered let your man go matcha tea, ube latte and nine am drinks. They are tasty. Online reservation was not available but when we arrived they asked if we have reservations, so maybe you need to call. The line was long so I asked for first available either indoor or outside. In Texas weather I should have asked indoor and waited 10 min longer, the experience would have been more pleasant without the flies pestering you. Wait line was about 50 min at 10:30 ish on Sunday.

Unpopular opinion here but this is more of an "It" restaurant than actually good food. The food is totally good but nothing special. You need to make reservations for sure. Service is average. There are a ton of staff running around doing their best but it is not a relaxing environment. Cute modern decorations to solidify the "It" effect.

Pulled up for Saturday Brunch with the crew! Started with a scrumptious cookies and cream latte-- not too sweet, and so cute! For my main, I had the scramble bowl with chicken sausage. Just a classic breakfast bowl--not really impressive, the mushrooms held the most flavor and were the star of the show. Finished off with the strawberry cheesecake French toast, a perfect desserty breakfast item to share with friends! Overall, Box St. is a cute brunch spot to chitchat and sip with your besties. Service was 10/10. I'd come back, maybe next time I'll try the bacon jam boy breakfast sandwich!

This is such a cute brunch spot!! The moment I walked in, I felt like everything was so picture perfect. I ordered the eggs Benedict with fried chicken and cookies and cream latte. The Benedict came with a side of hashbrowns too that were soooooo good and crispy. I thought the chicken was ok, a bit on the drier side. But, I enjoyed the eggs Benedict and hashbrowns!

Cute brunch spot. Saw this place on tiktok and decided to try it. I ordered their Steak Eggs & Frites and Razzberry Creme. Both were amazing. I like my steak medium rare and they cooked it perfectly. The Razzberry creme was so good for a mocktail. It was not too sweat. Our server was great. I'll definitely be coming here again when I visit San Antonio.

I'm from out of town but heard great things about this spot, so we came for brunch. For starters, the decor is super chic. The paintings on the wall, artsy neon lights near the bathroom, and the ceiling lights. Everything is well decorated. The carnitas chilaquiles were great to share amongst two people. The potato flautas were a great starter for the table. For drinks, I enjoyed the Paloma as well as the special, seasonal cocktail.

I was not prepared for Brussels sprouts to taste so good. They were delicious. I got the box street brekky which was two eggs, hash browns, bacon and Brussels sprouts. Very tasty. The potatoes had a crispy crust and soft inside. Eggs were cooked right and well seasoned. Bacon was thick. Service was quick and friendly. I sat at the bar, which has probably 20 seats. But there's a huge dining room and outside as well. Decor is warm and friendly.

I'm glad they had room for us but, it's still safe to make reservations. We did not know they are a tapas style restaurant, but that didn't deter us. The restaurant lighting was dimmed and gave a more intimate /bar environment. I think the ac was broken here because it was very warm and they had fans going on around the room. I think this place would be good for someone who is prefers an American fusion cuisine that leans heavily on the western style dishes. The fusion elements were cute but I still left unsatisfied but still full. We did not park. We walked here right from the river walk. Not a bad place to go if you arrive in town after 9 pm.

On that occasion, the…read morevenue was exceptionally busy, and the sole bartender on duty informed us he was covering for an absent colleague. Despite the staff shortage, we placed a significant order for at least ten drinks. My husband had made a reservation for 6:00 PM. However, at approximately 7:30 PM, after we had already placed our drink order, a staff member informed my husband that our table reservation was only valid for two hours. Concerned about the impending two-hour limit and the delay in receiving our drinks, which had still not arrived by 7:45 PM, we inquired with our bartender about potentially canceling our order. He reassured us, stating that other tables were available should additional patrons arrive. Our subsequent visit, on Saturday, July 25, 2026, was solely with my husband. We arrived punctually, approximately five minutes before our 7:30 PM reservation. A female bartender directed us to a small, two-person table, despite the presence of two larger, seemingly more comfortable, unoccupied tables nearby. While initially assuming these larger tables might be reserved for a bigger party, the selection felt somewhat restrictive given the availability. Our seating unfortunately placed us adjacent to another patron who was using an additional chair to prop up her footwear, which contributed to an unpleasant atmosphere. The bartender then approached our table and asked if it was our first time, to which we replied it was not. She then asked if we knew what we wanted to order. We requested a brief moment to review the menu. However, we then waited for approximately fifteen minutes for her to return. Eventually, my husband had to actively call her over to place our order. Our initial drinks arrived after another ten to fifteen minutes. Subsequently, my husband attempted to catch the bartender's attention to order another round and request water. However, she was engaged in a lengthy conversation, estimated at ten minutes, with the neighboring patron and proceeded to walk past our table without acknowledging us. This extended period of being overlooked led to considerable frustration for my husband, who then felt compelled to approach the main bar directly to place our order and obtain water from a different bartender. It was only after this that the initial female bartender finally approached our table, asking if we needed anything. Considering the relatively small size of the establishment and the fact that there were only three occupied tables at the time, the level of inattentive and delayed service was particularly disappointing and, frankly, perplexing.

Drinks were AMAZING! Bartender Rob made the best Negroni I've ever had. I asked him to use whatever gin he thought best--result was an artistic smooooooth full-bodied drink. Told him when I was done I'd lick the glass if it wasn't considered so uncouth for a 'mature' lady like myself to do so Hubby's Buffalo Trace bourbon old fashioned was also outstanding. Rob was the bartender last night who did such a great job, and his work was even better tonight. We highly recommend The EsquireTavern for excellent cocktails. We love the long wood bar and high copper ceiling upstairs, but love the intimate speakeasy atmosphere downstairs even more. We'll definitely be back every time we're in San Antonio! First review, Friday night: Drinks were great (Manhattan and Bourbon Old Fashioned). REAL drinks, no complaints at all about those. And the bartenders were very friendly and helpful. Those aspects of the Esquire get 5+ stars from us. But the appetizers were not good, close to inedible. It was about 8:30pm or so, so maybe they were getting ready to close out the kitchen but the chalupitas with chicken tasted like rubber, and no flavor at all. The seafood platter had something in it that was breading with shell inside, but no meat of any kind. We couldn't figure out what it was supposed to be. The shrimp was good and the fish was good but those other things... We'll always love the drinks, the long wooden bar, and the ambiance at the Esquire Tavern, but we'll eat somewhere else and come here for before or after dinner drinks. (See update above to this review for when we returned the next night for after dinner drinks.)

We enjoy eating quails, but it's usually bittersweet relationship because of all the small bones however their appetizer for fried quail legs is super user-friendly. If you are scared of choking on small bones, these will not give you that kind of worry at all. We were impressed on how well-made and easily eaten they were.
