Box St. All Day - Super great food! Great service - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - San Antonio, Texas

Came for brunch today, the hostess was very pleasant and even apologized for the 30 second delay explaining she was new(nobody should have to apologize for a 30 second delay while learning....but that's the world we live in now). Had Gustavo as our server, he's attentive, polite and fast and knows how to read a room when a customer makes a joke and goes along with it. I do wish people were told to NOT feed the birds. The tables around us kept calling them and sending them scraps, completely unsanitary and that's why they keep coming back. read more

Box St. All Day - Chicken Shawarma - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - San Antonio, Texas

Box St. All Day was easily one of my favorite brunch stops in San Antonio. The space is fun, the menu has a little bit of everything, and our table ended up trying quite a few different items. I ordered the breakfast sandwich and really liked it. I got the vegetarian version, and the spicy mayo was honestly what made it for me. We also tried the potato flautas, which were good but probably not something I'd order again. The chicken shawarma plate was the surprise favorite at our table, and the steak, eggs, and frites were also really solid. For drinks, I had the BS G&T, which reminded me a little of an Aperol spritz and was super refreshing. They also made the birthday celebration feel extra special with complimentary drinks and dessert, which was such a nice touch. There were definitely a few standout dishes here, and I'd happily come back for brunch again. Great spot if you're going with a group and want a menu where everyone can find something. read more

I have eaten here before and really enjoyed the experience. Today however, my experience was not what I expected from a " boutique" brunch place. I came here for the ambience, the dining experience and the food. I ordered the Strawberry cheese cake French toast with extra crispy bacon. My food was delivered in under five minutes. When I questioned the server about it, a perk, cute sweet young lady. She seemed proud of how fast it was delivered. The table next to me witnessed the exchange and I said to them I don't think she realizes this is not the flex she thinks it is. The French toast wouldn't take long to cook even if it was made fresh, since they weren't very busy. But the bacon was definitely cooked ahead of time and either sitting under a warmer or reheated. She and the manager both offered to "remake" the food. Even though the managers said it would just be made the same way...which is the bread is "pre soaked in eggs" then cooked when ordered....which explains why the bread was not warm all the way through, the middle was slightly "tough" (dried out) because they obviously don't leave the bread soaking in the batter, they dip it lightly to keep it from getting soggy and then refrigerate it. Which left the "French toast" tasting more like toasted bread with an egg coating. Yes, I ate it all...I'm in the military, Ive eaten way worse things and I was starving. However, I could have had a better experience and food at IHOP in my opinion. The manger couldn't wrap his head around that people that go to sit down restaurant expect to wait 15-20 minutes for meals. It is a part of the experience. That their quick delivery of food was equivalent to a McDonalds experience at three times the price. Rushing people through their meals is unwelcoming and I left feeling like I had a cafeteria experience. I will not pay for something Ive gotten "for free", my entire career. Very disappointed. read more

If you're looking for the spot for a girls' brunch in San Antonio, Box Street Social delivers! The atmosphere is bright, airy, and beautifully designed, with an eclectic aesthetic that is perfect for Instagram photos over coffee and doughnuts. I ordered the Cookies & Cream Iced Latte, and it was creamy, rich, and delicious without outdoing the espresso. For brunch, I had the Brussels Sprouts Hash with spicy chicken, and it was outstanding. The chicken was incredibly moist, flavorful, and had just the right amount of heat, while the roasted Brussels sprouts were perfectly caramelized and paired beautifully with the rest of the dish. Between the gorgeous decor, delicious food, and great coffee, Box Street Social is an easy recommendation for anyone looking for a memorable brunch experience. I'll definitely be back to work my way through more of the menu! read more

Thank you to Yelp because, this spot had good recommendations and was close to our hotel. This brunch spot was super cute! Absolutely incredible food, drinks, service, and charm. I love when a place has all 4! The blueberry flapjacks were to die for. Huge portions and flavorful. I couldn't help but get one of their signature cocktail specials and it was good. Overall I loved this place and would rank it one of my San Antonio favs. Definitely recommend! read more

This has to be the cutest brunch spot in San Antonio. The interior decorator was on to something here. I visited this location on a Sunday afternoon before my flight. The place was packed and the wait time was 45 mins. Luckily, someone was leaving from the bar so I was able to get a seat immediately. I ordered the doughnuts to start and they were good. My entree option was the breakfast sandwich with the chicken and a side of fries. It was delicious and humongous! I couldn't finish it all. I also ordered mimosa with cranberry juice and I was given a complimentary celebratory drink and doughnut! Such a cute and thoughtful touch! read more

Box St. All Day at Hemisfair is one of my favorite brunch spots in downtown San Antonio. Tucked into Hemisfair Park, it offers a beautiful setting that feels both lively and relaxed. The stylish, Instagram-worthy atmosphere makes it a great place to meet friends or enjoy a family brunch. The menu features a strong selection of brunch items, but my go-to order is the carajillo with eggs on avocado toast. Everything is consistently fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. After brunch, you can stroll through Hemisfair Park and explore the surrounding downtown area. The walkable, scenic setting makes the experience feel like more than just a meal. If you're looking for great food, drinks, and atmosphere, Box St. All Day is definitely worth a visit. read more

The restaurant itself is cute. The food is very good, as well as the lattes. The service was lacking; not due to our server being impolite by any means. However, after a 45 minute wait, we ordered our food as soon as the server finally greeted us and still had to wait 45 minutes for our drinks and food. While expected when busy, we did note that nearly every table around us who sat down after/ordered after us received their food in a much more timely manner. But the server was very polite, nonetheless. read more

I really enjoyed this place. Service was friendly and helpful. My chilaquiles was so delicious I didn't want to leave anything on the plate. The matcha was one of the best I've had. We sat outside so it was a bit hot, they need more fans. My niece said her sandwich was just okay. The best part was the bacon jam and there wasn't very much of it. Will definitely return to try all the other options. There is also a cute park around the corner for kids since you can't make reservations this is a good place for them to wait without complaining. read more

I love the location of this place, you can walk around after having a full belly. The site of World fair in 1968 with many water features. Jesse the waiter is very nice, polite and knowledgeable. The shirts "bs all day" is very cute, super tempted to get one. We ordered chilaquiles, French toast, steak-egg and fries. Plus crème brûlée donut. We ordered let your man go matcha tea, ube latte and nine am drinks. They are tasty. Online reservation was not available but when we arrived they asked if we have reservations, so maybe you need to call. The line was long so I asked for first available either indoor or outside. In Texas weather I should have asked indoor and waited 10 min longer, the experience would have been more pleasant without the flies pestering you. Wait line was about 50 min at 10:30 ish on Sunday. read more

Unpopular opinion here but this is more of an "It" restaurant than actually good food. The food is totally good but nothing special. You need to make reservations for sure. Service is average. I was not prepared for Brussels sprouts to taste so good. They were delicious. I got the box street brekky which was two eggs, hash browns, bacon and Brussels sprouts. Very tasty. The potatoes had a crispy crust and soft inside. Eggs were cooked right and well seasoned. Bacon was thick. Service was quick and friendly. I sat at the bar, which has probably 20 seats. First time going today. Met some friends who I haven't seen in awhile. FYI -you can make reservations which was helpful. If you're seated at a table, know that there are hooks under the table for purses or caps. I really wanted to try their French toast but opted for the chilaquiles with panko chicken -yummm delicious. Did not regret. Our food came out fast for there being 4 of us. Perfect portions.Service was attentive and courteous. The staff wears cute shirts which are available to buy. All 3 of the girls bought one . Very bright, welcoming, and colorful atmosphere. I will return again because there's more I want to try on the menu. Outdoor seating is an option. read more

Pulled up for Saturday Brunch with the crew! Started with a scrumptious cookies and cream latte-- not too sweet, and so cute! For my main, I had the scramble bowl with chicken sausage. Just a classic breakfast bowl--not really impressive, the mushrooms held the most flavor and were the star of the show. Finished off with the strawberry cheesecake French toast, a perfect desserty breakfast item to share with friends! Overall, Box St. is a cute brunch spot to chitchat and sip with your besties. Service was 10/10. I'd come back, maybe next time I'll try the bacon jam boy breakfast sandwich! read more

Cute brunch spot. Saw this place on tiktok and decided to try it. I ordered their Steak Eggs & Frites and Razzberry Creme. Both were amazing. I like my steak medium rare and they cooked it perfectly. I'm from out of town but heard great things about this spot, so we came for brunch. For starters, the decor is super chic. The paintings on the wall, artsy neon lights near the bathroom, and the ceiling lights. Everything is well decorated. The carnitas chilaquiles were great to share amongst two people. The potato flautas were a great starter for the table. For drinks, I enjoyed the Paloma as well as the special, seasonal cocktail. read more

I was in town for a conference and had a free morning to explore. After a few hours of wandering the city, hunger set in and a quick Yelp search led me to Box St. All Day. The place was busy when I walked in, which felt like a good sign. I grabbed a seat at the counter and looked over a menu full of appealing options. The breakfast burrito sounded perfect after my 6.5‑mile walk. It arrived quickly. The chorizo definitely made it a bit greasy, as another reviewer mentioned, but it was flavorful and satisfying. The burrito came with a verde salsa, and my waitress offered a spicier red version, even bringing me a second one when she saw I liked it. Service was friendly and attentive, and my water was refilled often, which I appreciated after all that walking. The ambiance was pleasantly lively -- a bustling vibe without being noisy. It's clearly a popular spot, but still comfortable enough to relax and enjoy a meal. Overall, a solid spot for breakfast, brunch, or lunch. 4 stars. read more

This place has a lot going for it. The food is not one of them so I was torn. Things that it has going for it - easy to make online reservations - cute decor - terrific service by Haley - allowed a party of 4 to pay separately - decent coffee The food was fine. My breakfast plate the hashbrowns were the best part nice and crunchy, the scrambled eggs were pretty but overcooked for my preference, bacon was thick cut and cooked well, deep fried Brussel sprout has was fine. My friend got the cubano which apparently was over seasoned. Another friend got the chilaquiles with hot fried chicken and he said that was good. I suppose this might be one of the cuter brunch places in terms of aesthetics. And lots of choices on the menu so maybe something else might've been better. Since there were many other positives I am giving them the benefit of the doubt and extra star. read more

Came here for a birthday brunch with my friend! I got an ube latte, michelada, and the chilaquiles with hot fried chicken on top. The hot fried chicken was delicious, but I wish the chips had way more sauce on them. The egg was perfectly cooked on top. The ube latte was top notch and delicious. The michelada was also tasty but I wish it was a larger portion. This all ran me about $60 after tip. Upon being seated, I let the gentleman know it was her birthday and asked if they do anything for birthdays and he said "yeah I got you" but we went the whole meal and nothing happened. I didn't want to ask again since we were ready to go by the end but it was disappointing. I also asked our waitress for salsa and it never came. Outside seating had some bees flying around which kind of sucked. The food and drinks were good but I would definitely check out other brunch spots before coming back here! read more

Super cute decors and chilled vibes, perfect for brunch, cocktails and gathering. Both indoor and outdoor dining spaces available. We came on a weekday for brunch, were seated right away. Good services and decent food selections. Loved my honey lavender latte. You don't get tons of food for your order, portion wise it's on the slightly smaller end, but it's light and balanced. The omelette eggs were fluffy, and salad dressing for the greens were refreshing. Would love to come back when we are in the area. read more

Saw one of the waiters throw his apron on the floor under the urinal, then put it back on and went back to work. gross

Ahhh, brunch in San Antonio. I have been to plenty of places, but none left me feeling as satisfied as The Box, named after that rap song from 2019. You walk in and it already has that "we came here to make bad decisions with mimosas" energy, which is the only proper way to do brunch. I was there with a hot date and the goal was simple. Bottomless vibes without breaking the bank. For around $35 to $40 we grabbed a bottle and that is money well spent. Mimosas are the official currency of brunch and here they pour them like they mean it. We sat at the bar top and the service was on point, quick with the pours and easy with the laughs. That set the tone right away. Now to the food. I hit the jackpot. My date was cool with sharing plates, which left us with more fun money for bottles. The crispy fried chicken came dressed in a sweet spicy glaze with sesame seeds and herbs. It could go toe to toe with wings from any pub in town. The brunch plate had sausages, bacon, hash browns, mushrooms, eggs, and tomatoes. A spread that makes you forget what time of day it is. Somehow, somewhere between the food and the bottle, I do not exactly remember going home. What I do remember is this. It was a perfect Sunday or morning or whatever brunch technically qualifies as. The Box is the kind of spot you stumble into and stumble out of with a grin. Five stars. read more

A very nice brunch spot near the convention center. The donuts are exceptional, and make for a nice appetizer. Coffee isn't too bad either! The breakfast burrito was a true winner, so soft and fluffy and flavorful! The traditional breakfast was nice too, but came with way too many brussel sprouts! We were originally sat against the wall in a really weird spot, even though we had a reservation, but thankfully we were able to be moved once we asked. Our server also kept trying to sell us on additional items which felt weird, hence not a full 5-star experience. read more

Amazing service today by sweet Sunny! Truly top notch attention to detail. I appreciate he brought my sons drink in a lidded cup. He is disabled, and it means a lot when someone sees his accessibility needs. The food was solid, and the decor is cute. On the femme side; but my daughter loved it. They even send your leftover champagne with you; which is a big plus for this tired mama. Water served European style; but they'll happily bring ice if requested. Music a little loud and clubby for our tastes, but it was minor all in all. A good start to our day; and I would absolutely come again on future trips. read more

Trendy brunch spot! I would eat here every day of my trip -- it's that good. I had the Breakfast Sandwich without egg, with added bacon and avocado, and it was easily one of the best I've ever had.
