My friends and I got the Caesar salad, fried chicken sandwich, and I got the club sandwich. I added avocado and cheese to my sandwich, and substituted sweet potato fries instead of regular fries for no extra cost. The food portions were massive and worth the price in my opinion. My sweet potato fries were so crispy, and they have this poblano ranch. That's really good, and it's not spicy at all. Nash was a very sweet and nice server, and was always moving and keeping busy. The queso was absolutely delicious--I cleaned the plate! The chips were super crunchy and tasted like they were freshly made, which made it even better. Camp Outpost is one of those southtown gems that I wish more people were talking about! This amazing restaurant specializes in high wood-fired quality rotisserie, slow cooked over oak. Everything from their menu is made fresh to order and the flavor in all their meats is unbelievable! Since their opening they've added a happy hour menu which includes bites from $4-$8. They also have great beer specials and frozen cocktails specials in their happy hour menu which makes it the perfect spot for an after work spot. From their main menu I really like their Outpost Club which is the rotisserie chicken, hickory smoked bacon, romaine, herb mayo on a texas toast. Brought my husband here for Restaurant Week. $30 per person. We both opted for the Mission Salad. My husband ordered the Camp Burger and I ordered the Wood Fired Rotisserie Chicken, Banana Pudding. My husband ordered a non-alcoholic drink (Arnold Palmer) and I opted for a frozen margarita, all included as part of the Restaurant Week menu. The Mission Salads (Romaine lettuce, roasted corn, black beans, avocado, tomatoes, crispy tortillas strips, and ) roasted poblano ranch dressing were absolutely delicious. The Camp Burger was a double angus beef patty burger with the tomato, lettuce, onion and American cheese on a toasted brioche bun. Delicious and juicy. Yummy! (yes, I stole a bite). It was served with fries. My rotisserie chicken was perfectly cooked. It was served on top of roasted Yukon potatoes, onions and poblano peppers and 2 small pieces of roasted corn. My husband enjoyed his Arnold Palmer. My frozen margarita was crazy sour. I asked for some simple syrup but there didn't have any. Instead they offered agave but it didn't help much. Instead, they remade my drink on the rocks which was significant less sour but now was a bit sweet. I was allowed to keep the original frozen drink. My margarita was perfect once I handed a couple spoonful of the tart frozen margarita to the margarita on the rocks. Service was great and food yummy. We will have to come try out Happy Hours in the future. We had to pack half of our meal to take home as well as our desserts. read more

Checked this place out earlier this month for happy hour, chips and guac are good, have that nice crunch. It's a sit down place where you order off a QR code so service is very basic. On our first visit to Camp Outpost we had our pups with us so we were looking for a dog friendly spot to grab lunch and we lucked out finding this cool spot. Right on the edge of Southtown, Camp Outpost is a great spot with wonderful food and an amazing outdoor dining area. They have seating inside as well but the outdoor area has ample space with large tables and plenty of covering for shade. There is astroturf and plenty of vegetation surrounding the fenced in outdoor seating, The food and drinks are perfectly made and, you order at the counter and the food is prepared in an open kitchen area then brought to your table by a server. The service wax great and the restaurant was spotless inside and out. I'm so glad we found another option for dining in South Town and I can't wait to go back! read more

The fries were served in a cute little metal cup, but I think it retained moisture and made the fries soggy, so dump out your fries when they are served. Order at the counter. Food is delivered quickly. The vibe is cool. The outdoor patio is going to be really nice now that the weather is cooling down. The location of this space is ideal for date nights or group exploits. During the day, you can walk over to Camp Street to spend time at Chris Park, Ruby City, and the San Pedro Creek Culture Park. On the Second Saturday of each month (in the evening), you can drive down S. Flores to 1906 S. Flores for an art walk; on First Friday, head the other direction--down S. I ended up getting the Camp Burger with a side of Street Corn and my girlfriend ordered the Blackened Fish Tacos. Both items were very tasty and I enjoyed the presentation of the food. Their sweet tea was exceptional as well. The only thing I didn't enjoy about this restaurant was the taste of their water; it tasted like it was unfiltered and straight out of a dirty tap. They also allow dogs into the establishment. We observed many people bring in their pets (leashed and unleashed) without issue. It came with a tin cup of shoe string fries ( 7 out 10). My buddy ordered the club sandwich which came out a long time after my burger arrived at the table. However, the staff was quick to address the issue soon after it was pointed out to them. They did remove the sandwich from the final bill and provided coupons for free food for the next visit. Definitely a plus with me. The parking is tight and limited during lunch but I was able to find free side street parking just a few feet from the full parking lot. While the menu is not extensive, the majority of people will be able to find something to their liking.
