Another great meal! Our server Brahim provided the perfect service: attentive, thoughtful, kind. Really enhanced our meal. For a starter we shared the cornbread with another couple and it was plenty for 4 people. If you are from out of town and looking for some Texas-shaped vittles or just want something substantial to stretch your meal I recommend it! Very tasty and filling. For my main I had the scallops with creamed corn risotto. It was a dainty portion but the flavors were nice. My husband had the short rib tagliatelle which he loved. It was very rich and filling. We had the buttermilk pie again for dessert and this time it tasted sweeter than I remembered. It was good but we couldn't finish it. Idk if it was my tastebuds or if it was different. Anyways still a great meal overall and we will be back! read more

Great atmosphere, Great service. The price versus quality doesn't meet! My date had the lamb chops. The lamb chops were full of fat and untrimmed, this fat didn't add any flavor. They were cooked medium rare. I don't recommend the lamb. I had the red snapper filet. I was basically. The best thing about the entire meal was dessert! We shared a large slice of butter pie and ice cream. Other than that, the food was average to, not good I made the mistake of going to this tourist spot, inside of the la mansion hotel, $168 later, I can truly say that I would never recommend this restaurant! read more

I was in town for a conference and was looking for a place to grab some dinner and landed at four Brothers on the Riverwalk. They have a nice entrance directly from the backside where the river is and some outdoor seating but the hat and sticky summer months told us to go inside in the AC. The servers were professional and fancy, he gave some recommendations for his favorite dish and I tried the brussels sprouts appetizer and the bison short rib tagliatelle. I would say it was all pretty good, but not anything I would seek to order again specifically read more

We arrived in San Antonio after an 11+ hour road trip from New Orleans. By 7 pm hubs wanted dinner as soon as we checked into our hotel. Checked Yelp for dinner suggestions so Doc drove us to the paid lot next to where all the Cinderella lit up carriages drawn by horses were lined up. It seemed the boats going up and down the River portion of the Walk were busier. While we were walking I had my eyes open for a table with a view. We stopped at Four Brothers. The receptionist went over suggestions on the menu on her outdoor podium. Cornbread in the shape of Texas, shareable items like Dino ribs for $82, plus Pork Shank and ice tea completed our order. Everyone was very friendly. We had an exceptional view and we had more than enough food that we had to ask for take out boxes. My favorite was the Mac & cheese though I'm usually not a fan. This dish used cork screw shaped pasta and it was moist and not stuck together. I had to share a photo of it with Sweetie who is in Tokyo right now. Doc liked the pimento for the cornbread. As it was almost 9 pm we decided to pass on the boat ride but just walk on the other side with shops and more eateries. We're back on the road again tomorrow to Arizona. read more

Pretty decent food with somewhat elevated prices. I had the carpaccio, which was fantastic, and the short rib tagliatelle. My wife had the scallops risotto. We also got an order of tallow fries. The tagliatelle were fresh pasta but were overcooked and sticky, what a shame. I was expecting the meat to be mixed in but it was just a hunk of rib on the plate. The meat was delicious. The scallops were $52 for three scallops. They were delicious but we didn't feel we got good value on the dish. The fries came out tepid, another pity. I think this restaurant is not far from 4+ stars from me, but it just was not cooking at the level I expect for the steep cost. Restaurant and bathrooms were spotless, decor is charming. Outstanding table service from Hamid. read more

Had a great experience at Four Brothers the other night! It was a quiet Thursday evening, which is exactly what I was looking for - I sat in the bar section with Nico and he was awesome. I tried the gimlet while I waited for my friend to arrive and it was AMAZING. The chicken osso bucco was good, very unique dish with fresh ingredients. For dessert we split the milk punch and it was also amazing - the drinks here are incredible! If I hadn't just got off a plane I would've wandered along the riverside for a bit, perfect access right outside of the restaurant. Great choice on the Riverwalk for unique drinks and dishes! read more

At La Mansion, you will find Four Brothers. For locals, it's the former location of Las Canarias. It's a brunch menu even for lunch. They did bend the rules to make us their signature jalapeño cornbread with your choice of butter, honey, or pimento. We were all so grateful they did. I had never had pimento on cornbread, but it was a delicious experience. Other menu items to explore: Grilled chicken and bacon sandwich with a "secret sauce."Baby Butter Salad with butter lettuce, thinly sliced radishes, fresh avocado, corn, and river whey blue cheese dressing salad . Sharing both makes it a perfect dish. The bourbon-caramelized pancakes with bananas and pecans looked amazing. read more

What a find! I'm calling you of mine was visiting from Austin and wanted to try this place that she had found close to her hotel. I had never been here before and must be honest, had never even heard of it. This place was amazing. Beautiful surroundings with excellent service. The cornbread was very good, but when you added the homemade pimento cheese, it was outstanding! Most of the table ordered steaks and were very pleased, but I just had to try something called the chicken Oso Buco. Wonderful! Can't wait to visit here again with family. read more

We stopped in for an early dinner on our first day of arrival into San Antonio. The location wasn't busy when we got three but when we left around 7, it had gotten much busier. E we sat at the bar and while the bar tender was nice, she spent very little time actually talking to us and in fact, spent most of it at the other end of the bar. I got the dry aged hamburger-delicious! Perfectly cooked, the bus held up and the tomatoes were fresh from the vine! The fries were perfectly crisp! I also had the praline old fashion. It was good-with it had a bit more of the actual praline flavor. My husband got the Philly cheesesteak. Said it was good, but wish it would have had more brisket on it. read more

It was just ok... there were only 4 people Us(2) & another table & you would have thought it was a full house. No sense of urgency no apology for the wait... Not a place I'd go back too! read more

I tried this place for the first time, and our server was incredibly funny. He also had excellent product knowledge and offered alternatives to accommodate everyone's food preferences, ensuring we all enjoyed our dinner. The cornbread was absolutely delicious. It was heavenly with the accompaniments; my favorite was the pimento cheese, while another person loved the honey. I ended up eating almost half of it myself. They had a special fish dish that evening, and it was cooked perfectly with a red pepper sauce. The ribeye was also cooked beautifully. Their buttermilk pie was one of the best I've ever tasted. The broccolini was tasty, even if it wasn't the "angry" version, but I'll have to come back to try that one! read more

The River Walk in San Antonio is a master illusionist. It presents itself as a parade of "fine dining" establishments--linen here, candle there--many of which, once seated, quietly confess they are just restaurants in costume. Four Brothers, however, is not pretending. It is genuinely beautiful, restrained, elegant without being smug, and staffed by servers who seem to understand hospitality as a calling rather than a shift. I visited on a Friday night, the river humming with its usual mix of tourists, locals, and second-date nerves. There was live local music, which--bless its heart--landed somewhere between Top 20 countdown radio and its slightly more confused cousin. It wasn't offensive, just repetitive, like a song you didn't ask for looping in the background of an otherwise excellent evening. Now, Four Brothers is known for its steaks. This is spoken of in the way people speak of legends. I believe them. But on this particular night, I was not in a steak mood. I was in a "just give me a damn burger" mood--an emotional state many of us know well. Before that, cornbread arrived in the shape of Texas. It was good, respectable, politely sweet, but did not sing freedom, independence, or Willie Nelson. It simply said, "Hello, I am cornbread," and sat down. Then came the burger. Reader, I am not exaggerating. This was the best burger I have ever eaten. Not one of the best. Not "top five." The best. Ever tasted. Ever experienced. Ever met. This burger is not ostentatious. It is not trying to impress you with truffle foam, unnecessary aioli, or a manifesto about itself. It is smoky, perfectly balanced, deeply satisfying, and almost unsettling in how complete it feels. The bun is healthy without being preachy. The beef--topped with beef, as God and good sense intended--tastes sacred. I know it isn't, but it feels like it was blessed quietly in the kitchen before being sent out. Every bite was majestic. Not flashy. Not loud. Just confident. Like it knew it had already won. What makes this even more impressive is the setting. Four Brothers could easily lean into formality and forget joy. Instead, it delivers elegance with warmth, fine dining without the eye-roll, and a menu that allows for both grandeur and simplicity. That kind of balance is rare--especially on the River Walk. So yes, go for the steak if that's your path. But if you find yourself tired, hungry, and craving something honest in a place that promises polish, order the burger. It may quietly change your understanding of what a hamburger--and a restaurant--can be. Four Brothers isn't pretending. And sometimes, the most profound thing on the table comes between two buns. read more

This food is so delicious I've been staying at the mansion so I can order room service from this restaurant. I've ordered the chicken and biscuits 4 times! And each time it's so yummy. My first visit to Four Brothers was for restaurant week. I enjoyed the food they offered for the three course menu. It was a good meal overall and a nice experience. read more

Came in for brunch New Year's Day. My honey's plate and my kiddos pancakes were absolutely fantastic. My brisket and poached eggs were not the move. Best thing on my plate was the biscuits. The jalapeño is my fault I was expecting pickled jalapeños and got a large semi cooked extremely spicy jalapeno. I would come back for dinner or to try something else on the brunch menu. read more

Once again, this place did not disappoint. We came for dinner prior to a show at the Majestic Theater. Luckily, it also happened to fall during Restaurant Week. The menu at Four Brothers had two options for each course so my daughter and I ordered one of each which allowed us to try each other's meals. I absolutely loved my Beet Salad and I got to enjoy some of my daughter's Chicken Fried Venison. My key lime crème brûlée was pretty good as well. This restaurant is only a 3 minute walk to the theater so it was a win-win. Great food prior to a show we enjoyed. read more

A beautiful place for dinner. Quiet, cozy & good service. Corn bread was moist and yummy, I didn't taste much jalapeño. My dish quail on a stick is delicious, I am not a fan of any panko fried meat but this is exception, pickle okra is nicely done. I ate a few spoon out of my husband's chili. Not a fan of Tex-Amex chili, only meat, no beans at all. And the flavor is definitely very different with what I am used to. read more

We started with the cornbread app, which $14 sounds steep ,but it is huge and comes out in the shape of TX, which is so crafty! I love the butter, pimento cheese, and honey served with it - all were delicious on top of the cornbread! I opted for the burger, which was scrumptious, as it just juiced out when I was taking bites. The black garlic potatoes bravas (auto correct is not liking these words), but those were not so much of a hit - I usually love black garlic, but I feel like I didn't get a strong enough taste for it? It's worth it, plus outside seating on the riverwalk makes it cute. read more

This place was honestly top tier. The food was delicious. I was especially impressed with the steak, and the chilaquiles were amazing. Everything came out pretty fast and was still hot and flavorful, which I really appreciated. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere was super cute. It wasn't overly crowded or loud, which made it easy to actually enjoy the experience and conversation. The drinks were okay for me (I'm not the biggest mimosa fan), but we were celebrating with my spouse, and it was still a great place for celebratory drinks. Overall, great food, great vibe, and a really enjoyable experience. I'd definitely come back. read more

Came here for brunch on a Sunday. Conveniently located right off the Riverwalk with indoor and outdoor sections available. Beautiful on a warm, sunny day. It was pretty busy so took a little bit to get our orders. I got the breakfast burrito and my wife the brisket Benedict. The burrito will definitely leave you feeling full but didn't have too much flavor on its own. My wife's brisket was a bit too rough and pretty difficult to chew but the poached eggs were done well. Overall ok experience. read more

My wife and I had the pleasure of dining at Four Brothers for Restaurant Week, and it was an absolutely fantastic meal from start to finish. We started with the Texas wagyu carpaccio and the mustard on the beet, both of which were delicious and perfectly prepared appetizers. For our main courses, I had the bison short rib tagliatelle, and my wife ordered the chicken fried venison. Both dishes were outstanding--incredibly flavorful and wonderfully executed. For dessert, I can't say enough about the Samoa cake with coconut gelato. It was truly extraordinary! My wife's churros were also a highlight, incredibly light and delicious. Beyond the food, the service was impeccable--attentive without being overbearing or cloying. We felt well taken care of throughout our entire meal. I would most definitely recommend Four Brothers and can't wait to go back. read more

Stopped here while visiting San Antonio for work before heading to a Spurs game. Grabbed a pimento cheese burger and it was very very good. Three of us got burgers all ordered medium, but one of them was more close to well done, so some consistency issues for a $26 burger. Fries are nothing special, I've come to expect hand cut twice fried delicious fries when ordering a gourmet burger, these are just thin pre-frozen fries. The cornbread as others have mentioned is a MUST get!! Best I've ever had. If it wasn't for the cornbread I'd probably go with a 3 star review. read more

We had a lovely experience for brunch. Service was excellent, and the ambiance was unmatched. You can't go wrong with the standard American breakfast items so if you're unsure what to get, just get that. The standout for us was the churros. We were shocked when 4 large churros with dipping sauces were delivered to our table. We were only expecting 2, but 4 are in the order. The churros were some of the best I've ever had. They were very light with a wonderful eggy texture inside. The crust of sugar was exactly the way I like it and the caramel sauce was delightful. Definitely don't skip the churros. read more

The wait staff was friendly and didn't even flinch that i was wearing casual walking clothes I ordered their Margarita with Reposado tequila and it was so fabulous i had to order a second!! . The real standout here was the Burger and fries with BBQ seasoning "dust". OMG, first time I've ever prioritized fries over burger and the burger was off the rails fantastic! Cooked perfectly to order as medium rare. Also ordered the steak tartare to go for my husband and that was super special! Even though i was stuffed, i had to try a bite!! We went for Restaurant Week and were very happy with the offerings. For starters my husband and I each had the wagyu chili and our friends each had the carpaccio. For mains everyone else had the apple glazed salmon and I tried the short rib tagliatelle. It was all very good, although I think the salmon should have come with a side of some type. Our friends ordered a side of fries and they were thin and crispy. My tagliatelle was fantastic. It had a sour cream tasting base - almost like a stroganoff. So yummy! The Samoa cake was like a large Samoa Girl Scout cookie with a chocolate cake base and coconut top. Very unique and tasty.
