They setup in the garden bar with eggs and typical sides, breads and pastries, crepe station, omelette station, seafood area, ham and prime rib, sides, and dessert table. All in all .. really good options and the dishes were cooked well. I, however, went back for 2nds on the crepes (so good!!!). Fresh fruits inside of either a vanilla or chocolate batter. They need to add this to their regular menu! The table service was attentive and nice. The buffet staff was a little overwhelmed at first with options running out before they were refilled. We had reservations for 8:15. By 9:06, the only thing that had arrived at our table was water and regret. No drink order, no check-in, just vibes and dehydration. At this point I wasn't sure if we were dining or participating in a social experiment on patience. Service was painfully slow and completely inattentive. Corrine delivers some real highlights, though the experience was uneven overall. The standouts were absolutely the Navajo fry bread--warm, fluffy, and addictive--and the bucatini, which was delicious on its own and even better with the salmon add-on. The salmon was cooked perfectly: moist, flavorful, and complemented the pasta beautifully rather than overpowering it. The fry bread was taken to another level by the agave chili-topped whipped butter, which is honestly the kind of thing I still think about days later. Sweet, spicy, and rich in the best way. Another excellent dish was the burrata with chili-garlicky crispy bits, paired with a medley of sweet peppers and tomatoes. The freshness and sweetness of the vegetables balanced the buttery, creamy cheese perfectly, keeping it from feeling too heavy. Thoughtful and very well done. The pork ribeye, however, missed the mark for me. It was extremely fatty, and because both the fat and the meat were nearly the same pale color, my old eyes genuinely couldn't tell where the fat ended and the meat began. It made the dish difficult to enjoy, despite what seemed like a solid idea. Service was unfortunately the weakest part of the evening. Drinks were forgotten, and while our server was friendly, he seemed distracted and inconsistent--even though the restaurant wasn't very busy. A manager checked in on us multiple times and was genuinely kind and attentive, but even her efforts couldn't quite rescue the service issues. The pacing still felt rushed and frenetic, which didn't match the quality of the food or the ambiance. Outside of the restaurant's control, Alamo Street has been under construction for over three years, which makes parking challenging. There is no validation. Valet is $15, but since Corrine sits in the Plaza--across the turnaround from the Kimpton Hotel--and there are two hotels with separate valet stands, the valet line can be arduous. There is also a church lot next door that allows up to four hours of parking for about $19 via QR code, which is a reasonable alternative if you plan ahead. That said, Corrine is still better than many other hotel restaurants around town, especially when it comes to food quality and ambition. I love fry bread, and it was the draw when I saw this on the website when researching restaurant week. With more consistent service--and a bit of advance planning around parking--it could easily be a place I'd recommend without hesitation. read more

We made reservations for Sunday brunch. It was a little confusing getting there due to the construction, but eventually we figured it out. Your best bet is paying the $15 for valet parking. The nearby lots are all between $12-17. We ordered several plates to share family style: House made biscuits: it comes with an order of three with butter and strawberry jam. They were so good. I can't be 100% sure, but I believe they were glazed with honey. Chorizo deviled eggs: my least favorite. The order has four half eggs with a slice of chorizo. It was bland and not worth it for us. Crab toatada: delicious! Mixed with tomatoes and peppers. Great flavor Lump crab frittata: another win. Good portion. They weren't stingy with the crab. Tasty. Sweet corn cake eggs Benedict: an unusual way of doing Benedict's, but it worked. They did remind me of a pancake. It was topped with corn, avocado and tomato. Grille kampachi tacos: I ordered these when I was told the could sub the flour tortilla for corn tortilla. They were out of corn and I asked to have the fish placed on a tostada instead. They were able to do that for me and made it look really pretty too. Jalapeño chile crisp eggs: reminded me of an egg skillet. They were eggs on a bed of grilled tomato and crispy potatoes. It was good. Key lime pie: a tad bit too sweet for me, but with a good tart flavor Peanut butter pie: yum! Definitely worth the calories. It has an Oreo crust. The perfect sweetness. They were sweet enough to place a birthday chocolate banner on it. For my cocktail, I had the Hugo spritz. It was refreshing. We were celebrating a birthday and they were super nice about it. Dined here on a Monday evening with my partner. We booked a reservation and were greeted immediately upon arrival. We were promptly sat and provided water. Our waited was excellent. He was very informative about the menu and ensured that we enjoyed everything that we order. Of course we started with the delicious fry bread which was perfectly pillowy soft on the inside. It was paired with a butter and spicy agave combo which definitely made it stand out. I ordered the espresso-a-gogo which is basically an espresso martini but more sweet than what I've had in the past. If you love sweet drinks it's definitely for you. The place wasn't busy during the times we ordered and still had to wait. The food was meh at best. My wife and myself tried multiple things. The appetizer was good,the VERLASSO SALMON was alright, but the meat was a bit dry and the flavour wasn't quite what I was hoping for. The GRILLED FLAT IRON STEAK also had dry meat and didn't quite hit the spot in terms of flavour. I've visited Corinne twice now and I've enjoyed each visit! The most recent time I visited, I ordered the braised prime short rib, which was AMAZING. I also shared the Kale & Apple salad with my mom and we both loved it. I'm not even a big fan of kale, but this one was so good. I think the presentation of each dish is wonderful. They feed your eyes and then they feed your tummy! The pork ribeye in particular looked gorgeous. As far as drinks go, we ordered off their seasonal cocktail menu. All the eateries inside Plaza San Antonio Hotel are amazing and Corinne is no exception! This amazing restaurant opened over a year or so ago and they specialize in American food with a twist. All their menu items are classic comfort food, but everything is a little elevated and the ingredients they use are always the best. I've been here a couple of times since they opened and one of my favorites is their Brush Creek Wagyu Cheeseburger, and I highly recommend adding the thick-cut bacon. Another dish I really enjoy from their lunch menu is their Grilled Chicken Club, which is a cilantro marinade chicken with thick bacon, pickled onion, avocado, tomato and havarti. Last but not least, from their dinner menu I recommend their 16oz Linz Heritage Angus Bone-In Ribeye. The steak comes with red chile truffle butter, crispy potatoes and sweet peppers. Overall, their food is always 10/10 and the staff is wonderful! I've never had a bad experience and will most definitely be coming back again in the near future. read more

What an absolute disappointment. We arrived at 10:00am for our 10:00am reservation and no one was at the host stand. No biggie. Hang out until 10:05 when the hostess wanders over and says "I have to sit these other people first, I'll be right back." At 10:08, we were led to our table. Finally at 10:14 our server comes to take our order, coffee with cream and the Corn Cake Benedict for Wife, and a melon berry cooler, order of biscuits, and chilaqulies for me. Server gave wife coffee right away and poured us water. Y'all, this was the least cold water I've ever been served at a restaurant. No hint of cold, cool, nothing. Hmmmm. Then the wait begins... We watch 4-5 of their staff flit around, checking in at other tables, bringing food, and refilling drinks. We begin our wait in vain for her creamer and my melon berry cooler. At one point, I get really excited as it appears our server has my drink...but then she stops to clear a dirty table, after setting the drink down on the dirty table. Then she takes the drink to another table. Bummer. At 10:33am our server brings out our biscuits, gives more warm water refills. I ask again about the creamer. 5 minutes later, creamer. So now, at least, Wife can get caffeinated. These biscuits are the only reason they get as high of a rating as they got. I don't know how they made them so crunching on the outside and light on the inside. Top 5 biscuit in my lifetime. 10:43am, some random customer walks by carrying her dog. No indication that it is Service Dog or even an emotional support animal. Y'all, I'm good with people bringing dogs to help with medical needs. But this... At 10:47am our food arrives. Server puts down my chilaqulies...ugh completely soggy, lukewarm chilaqulies. I know that chilaqulies soften over time...but this mushy disaster had been sitting for awhile-maybe near a heat lamp but not close enough to keep anything hot. I tried one of the chips not disintegrated by the salsa and it was stale. So the chips were no good before hitting the sauce and never had a chance. The "over medium" eggs were overcooked. Brown and leathery on the bottom, one of the eggs was medium and the other hard. How they managed to get them different donenesses? No clue. The flat iron steak was the least objectionable part of the plate, but it too was overcooked. Wife said her food tasted okay but was barely luke warm as well. This place was less than a quarter full, and they can't figure out how to serve food while it is still hot...gross. Server stops by once after we have decided it is not worth eating the food just to eat it, and asks if we want to-go boxes...and we both say "No, thanks" before she could finish her sentence. That and plates still 3/4 full of food probably should have prompted her to ask "How was your food?" But no. She brings the bill...and guess what was still on there?! The melon berry cooler from Act 1. No recognition that she never brought it. Wife brings that up, server runs away and comes back 5 minutes later with a new bill. Maybe is was just a random, one-off experience, but this was just awful. Hotel restaurants can be hit or miss...this was a big miss. Stay away. read more

Took my husband and father-in-law here for Father's Day and let me tell you this place was disappointing from time we arrived at the hotel. We wanted to leave vehicle with Valet and attendant was too busy on his phone. We then were sat at our table, our reservation was at 1pm, the restaurant was empty. We placed our food order and waited 40 minutes for food. There was one other table with 3 guests in the restaurant, we searched for our server wondering what the delay was. Our plates finally arrived, my husband ordered the Texas chilaquiles plate, his steak was rare. We asked the server if there was a way to get it at least a medium plus, she stated that the kitchen didn't allow for steak temperatures to be changed. The chips were soggy and the eggs were terrible. My plate was okay, I got the Huevos Rancheros. Our server was terrible, she disappeared and we had to ask others in restaurant for help several times. After our subpar meal, we walked around the area since this is located down town. Upon our return we noticed that our vehicle lights were on and it was running. So my husband flagged down the attendant, yeah the same one that was too busy on his phone when we arrived and asked why our vehicle was left running?!?! It took forever to get drinks let alone refills. This months pick for our book club meeting. Such a beautiful and chic restaurant. The chairs are very comfortable. They also have an outdoor covered bar area with plenty of seating. When we got out there a couple were complaining that they had waited 30 minutes for their car. We waited at least 20 minutes and I had to ask them several times to please hurry up because we had to leave for the airport at 4:30 AM. The restaurant is definitely a vibe with its beautiful decor and lively, upbeat music playing. After that, it's just a place that serves food and drinks, pricey ones at that. The brunch menu is somewhat limited in that there aren't a variety of options. For instance, most would anticipate having buttermilk pancakes. Instead there were churro waffles as the one and only sweet option with the typical savory dishes at brunch. Fortunately, my picky husband was pleased with the Eggs Your Way option that allowed for a choice of three meat option and types of bread for his toast along with eggs and fingerling potatoes. He was pleased with his meal. I chose the Lump Crab Frittata which was bland at best. It was clear that the individual components of the frittata weren't seasoned at all. I added plenty of salt and pepper to attempt to enhance the flavors. The most flavorful thing in my dish was an accidental potato that found its way into my frittata! LOL! It was so good! The service was subpar. The basics of taking the order and bringing the food was accomplished, but consistent check-ins or scanning the table to anticipate needs was nonexistent. We had to seek out our waitress for each request from ketchup for the potatoes to a refill on coffee and water. The best part of the meal was the fresh pressed watermelon and strawberry. So yummy! They replaced it with one without the seeds and did not charge for it. However, do not order anything with sunflower seeds. The restaurant is INSIDE the PLAZA HOTEL. They did not tell us when we reserved a table, so our guests and we had to go around the block a few times, until we called to ask where it exactly was.
