Very cute spot and we loved all our dishes!! The bread is delicious, and we tried the eggplant dip which was super good. We also got the beet and leek dish which was good. Then we had the duck and chicken dishes, we enjoyed to them all. I'd love to go back!
Last weekend of family summer before we head off for college and decided to head to the Pearl and lunch at Ladino as it's one of the best restaurants at the Pear! Amazing service from start to finish, we were seated as soon as we arrive in a lovely booth and served right away! We began with their mimosas ; you can either have a glass or as we did , a bottle of prosecco for $55 with a choice of juices to add so we went with hibiscus/ mango. Then on the weekend you can choose the Turkish brunch or go al la carte which was our choice. We ordered a variety of their dips with their house made flatbreads. We enjoyed hummus, beet muhammara, grilled olive dip - this was one of my favorites, Tirshi - another one of my favorites which is a butternut squash dish, fire roasted corn and fire roasted eggplant! Everything was amazing Glad we choose this restaurant as the food, service, ambience is all perfect! Great choice for our family lunch before back to college starts !
I've been here 3 times in the past 2 weeks. If that doesn't already say much, I'll leave a detailed review from each experience. I made reservations for 2/3 visits. It seems like reservations are encouraged. At every visit, the servers greeted me with water and asked for my dietary preferences. You can tell that the servers all work together as I had other servers stop by to pack up my food and refill my water. I do love how they offer to pack up my leftovers and do so very nicely. 1st visit: My server was a sweetheart, very attentive, and super nice! I made reservations for 5PM on a Friday. I was one of the first to arrive, but the restaurant quickly filled up. I opted for the Mezas De Alegria, the server brought out Tirshi, Roasted Cabbage, Steamed Red Snapper, and Olive Oil Cake! All were very tasty, my favorites being the Tirshi and Steamed Red Snapped! I also ordered the Greek Wine flight, I enjoyed the Troupis wine best! Out of all of my dining experiences, this was by far my favorite! 2nd visit: My server was also attentive and kind. This time, I didn't make a reservation, I just walked in but was able to be seated at 11AM on a Sunday. I opted the for Turkish Brunch and the Mint Limonada, and they were able to accommodate my dietary preference! Everything was good once again, my favorites were the Grilled Olive and Tomato Salad, Fire Roasted Peppers, and Shakshuka. The Mint Limonada was too sweet for my preference, I had to water it down with some water. 3rd visit: My most recent server was very sweet and kind but wasn't as attentive. I made reservations for 5PM on Friday. She got held up by a table nearby a couple of times. I tried items from the Culinaria Restaurant Week Menu (Armenian Salad, Texas Waygu Kebabs, and Local Fruit Sorbet) Everything was soo good and flavorful. I really enjoyed the Armenian Salad. The Texas Waygu Kebabs were good, but a little chewy for my preference. They were cooked about Med-Well/Well done, though I prefer my beef to be cooked Medium, but I wasn't asked about my preference. I also wasn't given a steak knife and tried to wait for my server, but she was with another table for a while. I had to use my butter knife... The Local fruit sorbet was very refreshing and a light dessert to end my evening. Overall, great experiences, flavor-packed food! I enjoy Mediterranean food, so I'll be back to try more items off their menu!
I accompanied my friend for the first time at Happy Hour at Ladino :D ! I have to admit that I had not noticed this gem of a restaurant at the Pearl until my Yelp Elite friend introduced me here :) ! Apparently, she has been here many times already with her husband and some of their good friends :) ! We came on a Friday before the Happy Hour specials ended at 6:30 pm this :) ! I loved my Aphrodite Spritz :D ! My friend ordered the Athena Dion and the Santorini Bikini :) ! For our Happy Hour dishes, we ordered the Tirshi (butternut squash, harissa, and pepita chili crisp), the Dakos (marinated Texas heirloom tomatos, sourdough croutons, black olive salt, tulum and fresh Za' atar) and the Olive Oil Cake :) ! We really loved how a lot of the cocktail drinks and delicious dishes are Greek - themed ;) ! Our waiter was extremely attentive, friendly and prompt :) ! The ambiance is absolutely perfect for anyone to eat there solo, or with friends and family :) ! There is seating both outside and inside. For my first time there, we sat outside on the second level. If it wasn't so hot and humid, it would have been nice sitting outside. I would have preferred to sit inside during the summer. Except when we went, it was already early Friday evening, and most of the indoor seating at the bars and tables were taken. I would highly recommend this Mediterranean restaurant to anyone :D ! Their Happy Hour prices are extremely reasonable :) ! Although, I wouldn't mind coming back for their regular non-Happy Hour dining too :D !
We went to Ladino's with a large group and chose their group dining option, where they bring out a wide variety of dishes for everyone to try. Overall, I'd say most of the people in our group probably would not go back, but I don't necessarily think that was because the food was bad or lacking flavor. I think a lot of us just weren't very accustomed to Mediterranean flavor profiles and this style of dining. Most of us really enjoyed the dips, the meats, and the desserts. Those were definitely the standout parts of the meal for our group. Some of the dishes in between were a little more questionable for us personally -- we tried everything, but there wasn't necessarily one specific dish we completely fell in love with. That being said, the experience itself was amazing. The atmosphere was so cool and unlike anything we had done before. Being served course after course and getting to experience so many different dishes made the meal feel really unique and memorable. All of the staff members who waited on us were absolutely fantastic and so understanding of some of our questioning looks while trying unfamiliar foods. Everyone was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and made the experience feel fun and comfortable from start to finish. If you already love Mediterranean food, this place may be right up your alley. I just think it's good to know what kind of flavor profiles to expect before coming, especially if you're newer to this type of cuisine. Overall, we still had a great time there.

I'm not someone who always craves mediterranean food but when I do Ladino's is the first place my mind goes too! It's located right along the Pearl, so it makes for a perfect date night or hangout with friends, especially when you want a quick dessert after with Lick located right across. This restaurant serves small portioned meals, but was still enough to feed me and my four friends! We shared the lamb belly ribs, saffron chicken, and the beef kebab. One of my favorites is the fire-roasted corn which I get on EVERY visit and pair with the Aphrodite spritz. This is such an unique spot with a very romantic vibe. There is no direct parking in front, but there is city lanes and an under the bridge parking lot which isn't too far of a walk. Plus, the customer service here is always great and they are very knowledgeable about what each guest would enjoy based on their likings and are very thorough of their process for first timers!
We came for brunch and my friend and I shared the spicy feta dip which was fantastic and not overly spicy. I had the pork souvlaki and this was so full of flavor and the pork was moist. I would come back for this dish. My friend had the saffron chicken which was good but the pork was a stand out. I got a twice baked pistachio croissant to go and that was a great sweet treat for later. I also had some kind of coffee with a pistachio soft top. The coffee was smooth and the soft top gave a little sweet that mixed well. The service was great and they answered our questions and gave recommendations especially since my friend was a bit hesitant about some things. The restaurant was cozy and a chill atmosphere which was perfect for a Saturday girl brunch to catch up. I can't wait to go for dinner and maybe come back for the full Turkish brunch.
Finally made it to Ladino. The food was good overall and the flavors were solid across everything we tried. The hummus with the fresh pita was probably my favorite part of the meal, and the grilled skewers had a really nice char without being dry. The Turkish coffee was also strong and really good. Service was quick and servers paid attention to detail. Great place for date night or hanging out with friends. Plenty of great food options to choose from. Glad I tried it because the quality was amazing!
Decided to make a kind of last-minute reservation for date night and was definitely not disappointed! Our reservation was for 5:45 pm, and the restaurant was pretty empty, but promptly began to fill up. Our waiter Alexander was very attentive and helpful. We ordered the spicy feta dip and hummus which were both excellent. The sourdough pita is so soft and tastes great on its own! Then we ordered the shishbarak and saffron chicken. The dumplings were amazing and the yogurt sauce was super refreshing. We really enjoyed the saffron chicken- it was flavorful and tender. We also ordered the Aphrodite spritz which was so pretty, and refreshing too. I'd definitely recommend this spot to anyone looking for a trendy spot to grab a drink and a bite to eat in the pearl!
A must if you are in the area. The Pearl is a must visit and then come to Ladino. Morgan was amazing with great recommendations, from food to drinks. Really enjoyed her attention and service. Food is not only delicious but the presentation is amazing. Great flavors in everything we tried. Coming from NY it has a great vibe. The fresh sourdough pita is one of a kind.
Really enjoyed most of my small plates and loved all the variety. I started with a well balanced brown butter scotch which I thoroughly enjoyed while waiting for my food. Loved the roasted beets with candied pecans and just a hint of dill. It was a nice combination of sweet, savory, fresh, and a little herbaceous. Loved the zaalouk because the eggplant had such a nice roasted flavor. Lamb ribs had a bit of a dry crisp on the outside followed by tender bits inside. Very good with the tzatziki. This was served over a refreshing a salad with saffron threads which added a nice layer of flavor. Tomato salad was simple and fresh. Also had the Tirshi, a butterscotch squash which kind of fell flat for me. It just didn't seem to hold up to the others in terms of flavor. Never had a butterscotch squash (not sure if that was even just a typo) but was expecting a velvety, sweet butternut squash but it wasn't. Apple compote pastry was very good--flaky on the outside, soft inside with a yummy apple compote center that was just the right amount of sweetness for me. Service was generally good. Everyone was friendly. Pace of my food was reasonable. Waiter was knowledgeable. The only hiccup was I ordered a black tea but was served an herbal one. I didn't say anything and drank it because it was good either way. I was also surprised I wasn't asked about any food allergies. Liked the vibe. Felt like you could come casual or a little dressed up and you'd be good either way. Overall a win and would recommend. If I'm in the area again I'd go back to try other things.
Been back several times since my first visit, but I really enjoy their happy hour in the upstairs bar area. My friend and I sat in the upstairs patio area because the inside bar was full. We enjoyed the Athena Dion, Aphrodite Spritz, and Santorini Bikini cocktails. For appetizers, we tried the Tirishi and Dakos. Fortunately, we saved room for the delicious olive oil cake. As always, the servers are attentive, friendly, and knowledgable.

Ladino is probably one of my favorite restaurants in the city by far! I've had the privilege to visit Ladino maybe four or five times, and every time I come back, they keep getting better. They recently received a Bib Gourmand from Michelin for good quality and value. Frankly I think they deserve a star, but that's just me. Ladino is located at The Pearl and making a reservation through Open Table is a must! They book up days in advance, so I encourage you to reserve a table ahead of time. They specialize in small tapas style plates, so if you are coming with a group you can order a couple of items to share. They also have a few excellent main dishes, but my favorite is the steak. From the smaller plates I think I've tried almost everything and there hasn't been one I didn't love. However the hummus is a must and the feta cheese is always a winner when I bring new people to Ladino. The staff here is outstanding! The level of service they offer is unbelievable. They truly make sure you have an outstanding experience during your visit, and that level of service is hard to find. Whether you are looking to try a new place or celebrate an anniversary, do yourself a favor and make a reservation at Ladino. read more
10/10 !!!! What a great experience! Me and my girls decided to try this place, we have heard good things and honestly, it was a hit! From beautiful decor with Mediterranean vibes to the warm of the staff and the quality of the good, our experience was incredible ! We all did the "Table of Joy" option of the menu, which basically is a 3-4 course meal with dessert, all chosen by the chef. You can express if you want something specific from the menu and they will make sure to bring it to you. On Sunday they have a wonderful wine special, all wine bottles are 50% off Everything we got served was outstanding, but my personal favorite were the fire roasted corn, the grilled cabbage and the lamb ribs. Outstanding service by our server, she knew the menu very well and guided us through it like a pro. Definitely a place to return! Check the food we got and get ready to drool over your screen! read more
I came for happy hour on a Friday night and they were BUSY. We had a reservation but when we sat down and asked for the happy hour menu they said we would have to sit outside or at the bar for happy hour. Should have asked that during reservation but fine. It was quite warm outside and they only had one industrial sitting fan. At a place this nice I expected some ceiling fans to be honest. Or something a bit classier. Service was mediocre, a bit overbearing to be honest with multiple pushes for us to order more. We tried the butternut squash dip, the spicy feta, the hummus, roasted corn and the lamb ribs. We also got 2 spitz and 2 beer. Total for four people with tip was about 95 bucks which is fair. We had a vegetarian at our table so they brought out veggies to dip as well which was nice. My favorite was the roasted corn and the surprisingly the feta. It was enough to be full. Lamb was fatty but flavored nicely. read more

Had a fantastic dinner at Ladino. Everything we ordered was delicious, especially the fire roasted corn, shishbarak, and the Saganaki. The pita was incredible and worth ordering. I also had the spicy passionfruit mezcal cocktail (The Prophet), which was excellent. The service was friendly and welcoming from everyone we interacted with, and the staff even called us right away when we accidentally left something at our table. Bonus points for easy free street parking nearby and a great location for walking around the Pearl before dinner. Great food, great value, and we'll definitely be back. read more
In town on a work trip. A colleague suggested we go to Ladino. I'm not hugely familiar with Mediterranean food but thought why not. We sat out on the patio. It was heated so took the chill off on a cool night. Our server was wonderful. Attentive and a great personality. We did the Tables of Joy and there's a reason they call it that. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. It was plenty of food. Our server suggested some combinations when we were going through a couple courses. It was probably one of the best meals I've had and truly a unique experience. For the food and experience I felt it was very good value for the money. Definitely recommend a visit and splurge on the Table of Joy. read more

My girl has been wanting to come here for a minute since her hermana had a wonderful experience here. I booked a reservation for her birthday and played it off like we were going elsewhere, as in a spot I love to go to because it is all about ME. She grew suspicious as we approached the pearl but she finally picked up on it when we walked away from the other establishment. We were greeted warmly upon arrival and promptly seated. We were given water and the server thoroughly explained the menu offerings from the regular menu, the meza de alegría, and finally the restaurant week menu. She was very patient with our questions and made some very good recommendations. I opted for the lamb as my entree and it was cooked to perfection and paired well with the Syrah wine I chose. My mainest girl opted for the regular menu and her hummus appetizer and the mushroom shawarma were beyond perfect. And this coming from somebody that despises mushrooms. The restaurant is well spaced but at first look seems crowded. Appearances are deceiving, we weren't shouting at each other and it was a quite intimate experience. Beautiful date night and super fast service! The food was good, we went for resturant week because we wanted to try a variety of things. Apps: The pita is DIVINE, warm and fluffy. The zalouk was okay. It's Smokey and on the heavier side. The fatoush was a fresh salad, loved the vinaigrette! Only down side is the parsley in it (I am not a fan of parsley). Main course: Mansaf- the lamb chops were so juicy and flavorful. Would definitely get again! Warm mushrooms: this surprisingly tasted very meaty! My husband and I enjoyed this, different than what we normally reach for. Dessert: Poached pear: tasted like a candle but in a good way . The cream on top was so smooth and balanced out the pear and floral taste. I would def get again! Olive oil cake: unfortunately this was super dry. It was similar to like corn bread. read more

My love surprised me with a dinner reservation to Ladino for my birthday. I've been wanting to come here since my sister raved about it a year ago! The experience was beyond all expectations. The restaurant is aesthetically beautiful. The space is large with many tables close to one another, but still managed to feel very intimate. Our server was incredible. I don't think she told us her name because we started talking immediately and we learned she was from New Jersey. She went on to explain the options including the offerings for restaurant week vs the mezas de alegria-a curated dining experience-vs ordering from the menu. My boyfriend ordered from the restaurant week menu and I ordered from the menu. We decided to come back for mezas de alegria next time. Fatoush: seasonal veggies in lemon zataar vinaigrette, with herbs, and a crispy pita. Phenomenal. The veggies were fresh and crispy and every one was perfectly coated in the most delicious vinaigrette. The best part was the crispy pita which was cracked by tapping it with the back of the spoon. It was so delicious and full of flavors. What a freaking start! Hummus with pita: spectacular! Better than the one I make (tears). The hummus was creamy and full of fresh flavors. The marinated chickpeas added a lovely bit of texture. The pita was steaming hot, pillowy soft, and just perfect. Mansaf: grilled lamb chop with freekeh. I've never had lamb before, but this is what I think is called perfectly cooked. It was tender, flavorful, just a perfect bite. The freekeh was amazing. Every bite was just better and better. Mushroom shwarma- mushrooms, beets, peanut salsa, onions, toum (similar to a garlic aioli). Spectacular! The mushrooms had an amazing smoked flavor and meaty texture. The onions were surprisingly the star that brought everything together. I would eat this every day. Poached pear: even though I'm not eating sugar, I made an exception for this meal. The poached pear was out of this world! Poached in sweetness and warm spices and served over a delicious sweet cream with walnut crumble. Freaking amazing. Skinny Santorini: mocktail-cucumber, dill, aloe, lime. Delicious and refreshing. Before we left, we were already planning our return. The experience was just incredible. Highly recommended. read more

My husband made our dinner reservation six weeks ago, for a post-graduation family celebration, and he chose perfectly! Our twelve guests ranged in age from 14-79 years, and everyone had a wonderful experience. We began with waters for the table, soft drinks, and cocktails/mocktails (Man Walks into a Bar, Amba No. 5, Don Alberto, Green Shug Collins). Due to our large party, we had booked a chef's tasting experience, which was spectacular. The appetizers were plentiful, flavorful, and unique. Our server, Anissa, did a wonderful job of explaining each dish-- its components, highlights, even suggesting that after finishing the beef dumplings, we stir the oil and yogurt together for an amazing pita dipping sauce. Our meal included four meats-- actually five, considering an off menu chef's creation for our pescatarian guest. It was such an immersive experience, I never took out my phone to capture photos of the food (or our group, sadly). Three desserts topped off the evening. When (not if) we return, we'll certainly request Anissa again. She made the evening a complete delight, even bringing out celebratory candles for our honored guests. read more
Wow on many levels and it's no wonder that they are Michelin rated two years in a row (2024/2025). I came here for my birthday dinner, and it was a great experience! The space is beautiful, from the patio to the inside. I didn't get a chance to go upstairs to the bar area which also had additional patio seating. The booths are intimate but still maintain space and the table seating is spacious as well. We were a party of five and chose to do the "Tables of Joy" experience which are shared plates. The portions were plenty between five of us; this experience is based off the chef's choosing but we pretty much got everything that was on the menu. Price wise, it was very worth it. We also added on the sujuk which was not included in the tables of joy menu. All the flavors in everything popped - delicious with a chef's kiss! The only thing that I'd say was that the chicken kabob skewer was just average. The wagyu Denver steak was good but by the time we got to it, we were so stuffed! Our server was polite and very knowledgeable about the menu. With this menu option, we were able to get all the desserts on the menu and they were all fantastic! read more

We came to Ladino to celebrate my birthday, and it was such a wonderful experience! From the moment we walked in, everyone was incredibly warm and welcoming, which made the evening feel extra special. We decided to go with the chef's curated meal, and it was such a fun experience letting the kitchen surprise us. Every dish was delicious, you can really tell how much care goes into the food here. Our absolute favorite was the dumplings, perfectly seasoned and full of flavor! The only dish we didn't love quite as much were the lamb ribs, which were a bit too charred for our taste, but everything else more than made up for it. The service was excellent! Our server checked in regularly, made sure we were happy with each course, and was genuinely attentive without being overbearing. Overall, it was the perfect place to celebrate a special occasion. This on michelins guide for a reason. the experience of food and service is one of the main reasons i decided to start doing yelp reviews for fun lol. AMAZING FOOD, their idea is centered around family style and for good reasons, staff incredibly nice and honest, our waiter helped thoughtfully explain the menu. The restaurant is "minimalist" style very relaxing, apparently so they have a bar upstairs. Absolutely amazing. read more
We had reservations for two but ended up being 3 of us. They were accommodating and got us a table with very minimal wait. The food was delicious. It has a distinct Mediterranean flavor that just hit the spot. We enjoyed everything we ordered. Presentation was good and they always made sure to give details of what they were serving. Nice small location. Restaurant and patio downstairs with a some tables and a bar up stairs. The service was helpful and attentive. The food came a little slow but the company was good. Loved the food! I could have eaten the appetizers all night --- spicy feta :). I will add the saffron chicken had unique blend of spices. Yummy! The prices for such a small amount of food was a little shocking. Yet we enjoyed all! read more

I've been Yelp elite for 8 yrs now and although I may not be on the Michelin Star award team (yet) lol I know that when service doesn't match the quality of the food, it's a clear indication of why a restaurant with a Michelin "bib" doesn't have an actual star...Consistency is key and when you've dined domestically and internationally you feel the energy of a restaurant and the cohesiveness of the chef and staff alike! It's palpable! Good service is paramount for me! Unfortunately, from the moment we walked in I felt inadequate. We arrived 12 mins early for our reservation and we waited a while to be seated only to be sat outside where there was plenty of open seating (still) long after we were seated. We deduced that we were sat outside because we had our 1yr old daughter with us and there were 4 other people with kids outside... My husband went inside (no kids inside, how ironic). It must not be a kid/family friendly place because they informed us they ran out of high chairs when we asked for one. The sun was blazing on our face and melted the ice in my drink. Not to mention we asked for an umbrella for shade and it never made it to our table. We waited for the sun to set. No biggie.... We waited for the food.... So, our server, who I won't even mention any names because it is what it is. Asked if we had dined here before and we said no. We were kind of set on what we wanted and were craving but he suggested the table of joy where the chef picks all items served but they excluded some of the items we were set on, which he later said he can sub (why not say that to begin with?). So we stuck with his recommendation. Our order consisted of the spicy feta and butternut squash to start with, which wow! Absolutely phenomenal and the stars of the evening and our culinary experience! Both were served with a side of pita bread. Next came a delicious and perfectly dressed salad! Followed by dumplings in a yogurt sauce and zucchini fritters with a tasty spicy tzatziki sauce to dip in. The zucchini fritters were another favorite for me. For the main entrees we had the lamb belly ribs on a bed of greens and tzatziki. I had high hopes for the ribs but they were salty and overcooked (charred). Last was the saffron chicken very tender, juicy and flavorful (on a skewer) with a side of risotto which was cold and a little undercooked :( The finale was the dessert and the "icing on the cake" a bug on our cake lol when my husband flicked the bug off our server saw it and took it back. It took a while to get another one which we almost just passed on. We were ready to go home at this point. Last but not least Aesthetic and presentation 10/10 however; I'm sad to say I probably won't return. :( Still grateful we experienced it and checked it off our list! read more
This restaurant is so deserving all of the praise it gets. Definitely make a reservation if planning on coming here, the inside seems busy but it adds to the restaurants character. Everything is cooked on a live fire grill, so you have to order everything at once. Came here for a late birthday celebration, we literally had no complaints or anything negative to say. The waitress was so helpful in guiding us on how much food to order, as well as explaining each dish as it came out. I wish I took more pictures of what we ordered but our favorite was definitely the mushroom shawarma! Tip: keep the hummus to eat it with other dishes :) read more

I can't believe it took me so long to try Ladino. After so many friends recommended it, I finally came to celebrate with a few friends. We opted for a la carte. Tried 3 dips (hummus, muhammara and spicy feta), the beet and leek salad, the beef/lamb dumplings (forgot the name), and lamb/beef Adana (basically a kebab), and the mushroom kebab. Our favorites are the hummus, beet and leek salad, the Adana. One of my friend also really liked the dumplings and the yogurt sauce was bomb. We were so full and barely could finish the entree item. I tried one of the NA cocktails and it was super refreshing, definitely did not miss the alcohol at all. I can't wait to come back and try a few more items! I hear the happy hours is a good one too. read more

Ladino serves up amazing Mediterranean style cuisine (with a Texas twist) in a clean, chic environment. I was recently in Ladino for my wedding anniversary and they treated us so well. We started with cocktails. I got the Zeus Juice, which was a gin based delight of a cocktail. It was so good I got a second--crisp, clean, and smooth as silk. Our server went over the menu, including the option of: Mezas De Alegria (aka tables of joy). The tables of joy is the option to enjoy a chef curated dining experience. Of course, we opted for this. We typically eat a plant based diet but decided to allow flexibility this evening so that we could have whatever the chef recommended. Every dish was flavorful, expertly prepared, and perfectly balanced. My favorite dish of the evening was the first course. It was freshly made pita served with two dips: spicy feta and tirshi. The spicy feta was a dream with just the right amount of heat to make it interesting but not so much that it overwhelmed the flavor of the feta, garlic, and oregano. The tirshi was a beautiful blend of butternut squash, harissa, and pepita chili crisp. It also had a nice heat without being overwhelming. Both were outstanding. Other notable dishes included the saffron chicken (beautiful) and the sweet potato (sweet/savory deliciousness). What a heavenly evening Ladino curated for us. Get to it! read more
We did a brunch here on a Sunday in early March as a party of 5 with a hankering for some Mediterranean/Turkish eats and wine. The colors and structure of the restaurant gives an inviting atmosphere and the dishware used for dishes have cute color designs that make you feel like you're in the middle east having a meal at someone's home. Love the details on that. As for food, we all decided on the turkish brunch which gave us plenty of eats that included marinated olives, seared halloumi, shepherd's salad, sourdough flatbread, cultured butter & honey, housemade seasonal jams, fire roasted peppers (w/ cheese & walnuts) and choice of one egg dish per person. We also added some spicy feta dip too. All the food was tasty and seasoned perfectly. The jams, salad, roasted peppers and halloumi was my favorite. I also enjoyed my egg dish (eggs w/ sujak) with the turkish sausage mixing well with the yolk. Other egg dishes include the shakshuka (poached eggs in a spicy tomato sauce) and the turkish eggs (poached eggs in warm yogurt & aleppo butter), both of which were straight up fire! Another person ordered the saffron chicken which was another hit; the chicken had some char for flavor and a lemony aftertaste that we loved. Since it was Sunday brunch, it was 50% off wine bottles which we took advantage of. Our server Jonathan gave some great wine recommendations to pair with the food. Best pairings were the Zafeirakis (greek wine) and the Mersel Sauvignon Blanc. Also props to Jonathan for being patient with us and describing the dishes in great detail. Our dining experience was an outstanding one because of him and his recommendations. This is one of the best restaurants in San Antonio if you ask me. Anyone who loves wine or Mediterranean eats will love this spot! read more

I would rate this place six stars if I could. From the moment I walked us the service was attentive and friendly. The restaurant is beautiful inside. It is upscale but still very comfortable and colorful. The menu has options for every course and everything sounded so appealing. To get a great experience of the menu we opted for the chef's choice option. They pick items from the menu for you keeping in line with any dietary restrictions you have. There are so many outstanding items on the menu such as spicy feta. Why I never thought to season all the feta I have eaten is beyond me but its such a great idea. This was so addicting and with the fresh pita bread its heavenly. The butternut spread is very tasty too but I am a cheese head so the feta was my favorite. I also really enjoy the lamb dumplings. These little orbs of delicious lamb in a yogurt sauce that also pairs with everything. The braised leeks were tender but flavorful. Tis dish might throw you off texturally but i am glad I tried it. The sweet potatoes with the tahini sauce was a wonderful surprise of flavors. All this and we hadn't even gotten to the entrees yet. We had a pork souvalki and chicken skewer. Both were so tender and seasoned perfectly. They were melt in your mouth good. Lastly was a chocolate pudding that was the perfect balance of sweet and bitter. I was so stuffed at the end but I had to power through to finish that pudding. No pudding left behind. Our waiter Richard gave us wonderful recommendations and his enthusiasm was infectious. It was a wonderful experience for my birthday and I really thank the staff for their stellar performance. I don't know who the chef is but they deserve a raise. read more
Had m birthday dinner at Ladino!! So did the next three tables of Sagittarius birthdays next to me. What can I say that hasn't been said. The food is delicious, with so incredibly yummy hummus! We don't eat meat so we ate the snapper. Delicious! So creative too, wrapped in grape leaves. But perhaps the true star was the home baked pita bread. Each of us must have eaten 3 pita breads. Hot off the grill, steaming when I tore a slice. My friend, who is Lebanese, can vouch for the authenticity. He had Kibbeh, (raw ground meet with spices) and can vouch for the flavor. In all, I highly recommend the restaurant. I'll back if only to buy their pita bread. read more
Why have I never been to the Pearl y'all??? This place is what San Antonio charm is all about. This food is unique and delicious. I found out it's one of the Hestia brethren and once you know it, you know you're in great hands. I ate alone and took home leftovers. Everything was divine but there's nothing like hot food, so the shishbarak dumplings had to be my favorite because you wouldn't know that deliciousness is under all that yogurt. Service was spectacular. I got history, recommendations, some light banter. The meal was very reasonably priced. I loved the mint limonada since I don't drink alcohol. It was just good food. The menu is eclectic middle eastern vibes and I felt like it was nothing I'd ever eaten before in the best way. If the weather is nice, eat outside in the courtyard. I feel like the Pearl gives courtyard eating vibes, it's very pretty. read more
