I've been coming here for over a year and always get the best quality of nails!! Ana is my go to for designs and I always leave so happy. Whatever I show as inspiration they always deliver. My favorite place in Long Beach for nails by far

I got a $27 pedicure. Look at the picture you can see what sub standard work it is. Didn't trim my cuticles everything is uneven didn't finish the Polish didn't cut my cuticles. And use the drill and cut my skin on my big toe with no apology. Never ever go to this place they are not worth your money.

After 10 days, my GEL nail polish completely peeled off. Very disappointed. See photo attached. Will not return.

I am new to the neighborhood and needed a new nail salon. I came here for a manicure a couple weeks ago and the lady that did my nails was a bit rough. I wanted to give this place a second chance since the prices are reasonable. I decided to get a gel pedicure today. The woman doing my pedicure had shaky hands, I didn't say anything but she ended up switching with another woman who finished my pedicure. Overall, the paint job is bad, I definitely could have done a better job myself..

This was my go to place just because they were so local. But after consistent disappointment and being rushed through every appointment this will be my last visit. With an appointment, I came in and asked if I could get my pedicure first because I had work to do on my laptop. The front desk said yes, after picking the right color and trying to figure out who could do this design, I was able to work for 5 minutes until being rushed into my manicure with a tickle of a massage for my pedicure. This is when another person came to do a design on my toe that I asked for. The pedicure wasn't actually finished after that. I left with dryfeet and work left to do. Then the manicure.... I've come to this salon 3 times and asked for a specific cat eye, I never leave with what I want and this time will be the last. She didn't use the magnet at all. And I kept asking for the cat eye. Thanks yall but I sat there and saw every person walk out disappointed. Hope yall can improve the quality of service overall

My friend and I booked an appointment online for gel manicures and we received a call the day of to confirm the appointment which was great because it let me know that they were expecting us. :) Jennie and Alex were the ones that assisted us and they were so kind and thoughtful throughout the service. The salon is very cute and clean and located in a nice area. Overall I would definitely recommend this place to friends and family. Thank you Jennie and Alex!

Clean nice place Had an appointment at 10 was taken at 10 30 - but little did I know I would have my nails ans toes done at the same time... unsure how I feel about that but appreciated the pro activity considering I needed to be somewhere else by 12 30. I got a dip manicure with extension and a deluxe pedicure. ( enjoyed the massaging chair) The lady who did my manicure was veryyyyy nice - which cooled me of after waiting for half an hour for service to begin. She did a very good job. ( see picture below) - overall I would definitely recommend them!

I called ahead to check availability + let them know what I wanted, my estimated ETA and they had a station prepped for both of the services I requested when I arrived - amazing! The space was very clean and on one of my favorite little streets in downtown Long Beach. 2 people serviced me at the same time which cut my service time in half - I really appreciated that. They had a few walks in while I was being serviced + everyone was greeted and set up with a station or added to the list quickly. I have very dry hands so I don't want to blame the nail artist but I did bleed from the filing to shape the acrylics. I do really love how my nails came out and the service was great so it didn't ruin my experience but I may ask for a lighter hand next time. Overall a great service and very reasonable prices!

I was a customer here for a year but I honestly was never satisfied really. My glitter and embellishments would pop off of my nails same/next day and I felt like they were always frustrated with me? Like when the nail tech would hit my skin with the drill and I'd pull away, she'd act offended or like I was being ridiculous. The last visit I had them remove my acrylic nails and they kept trying to upsell me for 15 minutes, making me feel terrible about the removal when I said I'd come back eventually and get more, that I needed to remove them for my job. They honestly made me feel so terrible that I went home and learned how to do gel x myself and now I save 200$ a month on my own nails and get exactly what I want. So thanks! read more

Ok I used to come here when it was King Nails and the quality was top notch....I decided to come back and guess what....STILL top notch! Since this was a trial run for me I only got a full set with white tips. Candy did my nails and she was the bomb! I mean she got every nook and cranny and bump or lump. If she made a mistake she fixed it and took no short cuts. I'm a true NAIL SNOB and she had no idea how impressed I was with her skills! When I stepped in that shop my nails were TOE UP! I've been searching for a new shop for 2 years now and I think I've found it! They're about to get ALLLL my money lmao...when I was leaving I wanted to tip her in cash but didn't have any...I told her I would be back with her tip...I doubt they believed me lol....I drove to the atm to get her tip and went back...She very much deserved it and I will NOT be known as the non tipper lmao read more

Small nail salon downtown near the convention center, but staff are friendly and there was no wait for a gel manicure. They were full at the manicure stations (only had 3), so the technician asked me to sit at the pedicure chair and she pulled a stool up and did my nails there. How versatile! Other nail salons I've been at would've just made the customer wait. Few points of feedback? She had to ask me a few times (no, it wasn't a language barrier) which level of manicure I wanted. They don't have much of a waiting area so on the off chance they were busy, that would probably turn me off from waiting. read more

I've been to almost every nail salon in Long Beach in search of the the perfect manicurist and I finally found her! Anna is my go-to nail tech. What I love the most about Anna's work is how careful and thoughtful she is. She doesn't just rush the manicure and skip steps like my previous nail techs, she carefully works on each nail and does an excellent job every-time. Very thankful to have found her! I have had a really great experience with both Ana And Ri (or Ree) doing my manicures. Each time, I showed them a nail art design that I found, and they both did a fantastic job! I never feel pressured to do any thing else, they take their time with the design and do a fantastic job making sure that I like it throughout the process, and they do an incredible job cleaning up my nails since I have pretty bad dry skin and cuticles. I definitely would recommend either of them, they're both sweet, the place is clean and they take their time to do a great job! read more

Came here twice and loved both perfect mani & pedi!! I have come to notice that the standard mani & pedi's at many salons are not held to the same standards and quality as gels and acrylics...but not here! FINALLY!! You know how challenging it is to find a nail salon that has all of the following; fair prices, good customer service, professional work and a clean establishment. Phancy Nails has it all! I'm so happy they are under new ownership because, wow! Tammy was my nail technician and was amazing! I appreciate the time she took to really clean and prep my nails/nail bed area and the attention to detail she gave when applying my gel manicure. These are small details that make a huge difference. I called last minute today to see if I could walk-in and the staff were extremely accommodating. I left my old acrylics on too long and they were starting to pull at my real nails, which was causing quite a bit of pain. My tech was extremely patient and attentive while getting them off. She worked quickly but also made sure to check-in regularly to make sure I wasn't in pain. They charged a very reasonable price of $25 (in addition to my tip) for the removal, buff and a clear coat of nail polish. Would highly recommend!! read more

I let Tammy freestyle my nails since I'll be celebrating my birthday this weekend and I must say SHE DID NOT DISAPPOINT!!! She is so talented I'm still in shock. My nails came out flawless and they glow in the dark lol. She also worked a miracle on my feet, I had a terrible accident that left my right big toe completely gone. This is a really good nail spa. I was a walk-in and they took me in about 20 minutes. Mimi, my nail technician, did a consult with me to determine how I wanted my nails to look, and then explained the best way to achieve it. There was no pain, and my nails came out lovely. read more

I went to this location because of where it is and its clientele. I assumed it would be a great option. I'm new to the neighborhood and was looking for a new salon because my old salon is too far from my new home. So, I walked into the salon, they were empty, I asked if they had a qualified eyebrow technician, they stated that they did. I said great. I asked if they could clean up and shape my eyebrows because I had been growing them from another technician ruining the shape. They promised to take care of me, I laid down, and they proceeded to ruin my eyebrows right before an important job interview. I am so livid right now. She tore my hair out of my eyebrow and then continued to work on me while calling everyone in there to see what she had done, without informing me. Once she was done ruining my eyebrows, she handed me a mirror and said sorry. I've never been so close to choking someone out in my life. But I kept my composure and just left. Horrible service. They truly don't even deserve one star. read more

Call beforehand to ask questions! Keep an eye out! Check and see if the manicurist uses clean and new manicuring tools! Lack of good hygienic standards, in fact, probably a health code violation earns a 1 star for my rating. It wasn't until my feet were immersed that I realized that the disposable nail file used on me was not a fresh one as it already had nail polish and scratch marks on it, nor did the buff pad, manicure scissors and cuticle tool come from a sealed package, but rather just out of a cup on her rolling cart. She took no time between me, and the bridal party, to switch or sterilize instruments. I was appalled when my nails were drying and I saw my manicurist dump out her little waste container into the garbage can, then she pulled out the 2 spongy toe separators that she had used on me from the garbage. When she had placed them on my feet, they had come from a ziploc bag, which was reassuring given my other observations, but now I think she had just put the used ones back into her bag. Eeek! Gross! I just hope I don't get a nail fungus from having my nails done here! It appeared as if different manicurists had different levels of skill and attention to detail. The woman I had was older- 50's. She didn't speak much English, though was very pleasant. The manicure and pedicure were just ok. I have never experienced such a disregard for hygiene in a nail salon. read more

I got waxed for the first time with my friend Kiki but she was unavailable because she had to have surgery and I wanted to wait but I couldn't. I tried waxing myself and took some skin off a few months ago... never waxing myself again! I called them and the woman sounded nice and booked me for an early evening spot. I was nannying PLUS I had my son for the week. So taking care of 3 boys was a handful! So thankfully, they worked with my appt and were able to push it back by an hr. The boys came in and waited in the lobby and the girls were patient while I rushed in and got taken care of by Bri. She was so nice and communicative and fast. The lobby and treatment room seemed clean and welcoming, and the service for checking in and out was also pleasant. The service itself was unfortunately not great... I got a Brazilian and lower half legs. My sugarista was kind and a good conversationalist, but the technique was just not there. I've been getting sugared since 2018 and this was the most painful experience. It's typical for my legs to twitch as a reflex during the backs of my calves and ankles, but I'm pretty adapted to the sensation of a Brazilian. I was sadly near tears during this service. It also took a long time, but that is understandable for sugaristas who aren't the most experienced. Because of how the service was going, I casually asked her how long she's been sugaring, and I think she answered just under 2 years. During our conversation, I mentioned to her that I sugar my own underarms sometimes to save money/time, and I ended up giving HER tips... I hope my advice at least helped her, lol. For the amount of time it took, I at least expected to have minimal hairs left behind. But my entire "horseshoe" area was still full and I had multiple patches of 6-8 hairs on each leg. To be fair, before checking out, the staff did ask me if everything seemed good, but there were so many patches that I would've felt nit-picky pointing them all out. I ended up touching up the areas myself a few days later with homemade sugar wax; it was too many hairs to tweeze away individually. Overall, I don't regret my visit because I had a wedding that weekend and couldn't get an appointment with an independent sugarista on short notice (which is how I usually get sugared). But I wouldn't recommend it as a regular place to go, especially because the prices are about par for independent estheticians who usually have 5+ years of experience. I absolutely understand that newer estheticians have to work somewhere and practice in order to reach that level of expertise, but maybe the business should have reduced prices for services with the less experienced sugaristas like hair salons do for stylists with different levels of experience.

She accepted two pedicures while I sat there waiting for her to finish my set, which resulted in her rushing through the process and applying my nails poorly - crooked nail, wrong sizes, nails not fully covered, in addition to lack of service. I wish I had said something in person or walked out, but I couldn't get myself to do it. I felt bad because while all this was happening, three girls walked in with an appointment and they had to wait until I was done (at least another 30 min). So to the person running this place, please do not say you can take an appointment when you clearly don't have the capacity.
