I got a $27 pedicure. Look at the picture you can see what sub standard work it is. Didn't trim my cuticles everything is uneven didn't finish the Polish didn't cut my cuticles. And use the drill and cut my skin on my big toe with no apology. Never ever go to this place they are not worth your money.

I am new to the neighborhood and needed a new nail salon. I came here for a manicure a couple weeks ago and the lady that did my nails was a bit rough. I wanted to give this place a second chance since the prices are reasonable. I decided to get a gel pedicure today. The woman doing my pedicure had shaky hands, I didn't say anything but she ended up switching with another woman who finished my pedicure. Overall, the paint job is bad, I definitely could have done a better job myself..

My friend and I booked an appointment online for gel manicures and we received a call the day of to confirm the appointment which was great because it let me know that they were expecting us. :) Jennie and Alex were the ones that assisted us and they were so kind and thoughtful throughout the service. The salon is very cute and clean and located in a nice area. Overall I would definitely recommend this place to friends and family. Thank you Jennie and Alex!

I called ahead to check availability + let them know what I wanted, my estimated ETA and they had a station prepped for both of the services I requested when I arrived - amazing! The space was very clean and on one of my favorite little streets in downtown Long Beach. 2 people serviced me at the same time which cut my service time in half - I really appreciated that. They had a few walks in while I was being serviced + everyone was greeted and set up with a station or added to the list quickly. I have very dry hands so I don't want to blame the nail artist but I did bleed from the filing to shape the acrylics. I do really love how my nails came out and the service was great so it didn't ruin my experience but I may ask for a lighter hand next time. Overall a great service and very reasonable prices!

I usually go here for regular services, but came here today and I thought it was not so great. I got a great deluxe pedicure with regular polish (Kate), but was not a fan of the manicure. (Shame on me for not saying anything while I was at the shop!) I got a gel manicure done by Tina, but had powder dip before. After she was done putting on the polish, she notified me there is an additional removal fee of $10 to remove the powder dip if I didn't get another powder dip, which I thought was a little shady, especially because I got the powder dip from this same location. I wasn't notified before the service, otherwise I would have gotten a dip again. Additionally, they rang it in as a gel removal, which makes me think that a dip removal was not actually an additional service, and the receptionist asked the tech what to enter on the screen to charge me. Other than the sketchy business practice (my bad for assuming they'd disclose it upfront and for not saying anything when it was mentioned), the manicure itself seemed a little sloppy today. 3 stars because I like this place and the work they've done previously, but wasn't too pleased with the work this past visit - and I'm unable to go back due to a business trip.

Nice work at Phancy team. Pedicure was very relaxing. Highly recommended if you are in town.

Clean nice place Had an appointment at 10 was taken at 10 30 - but little did I know I would have my nails ans toes done at the same time... unsure how I feel about that but appreciated the pro activity considering I needed to be somewhere else by 12 30. I got a dip manicure with extension and a deluxe pedicure. ( enjoyed the massaging chair) The lady who did my manicure was veryyyyy nice - which cooled me of after waiting for half an hour for service to begin. She did a very good job. ( see picture below) - overall I would definitely recommend them!

I have had a really great experience with both Ana And Ri (or Ree) doing my manicures. Each time, I showed them a nail art design that I found, and they both did a fantastic job! I never feel pressured to do any thing else, they take their time with the design and do a fantastic job making sure that I like it throughout the process, and they do an incredible job cleaning up my nails since I have pretty bad dry skin and cuticles. I definitely would recommend either of them, they're both sweet, the place is clean and they take their time to do a great job! read more

Came here twice and loved both perfect mani & pedi!! I have come to notice that the standard mani & pedi's at many salons are not held to the same standards and quality as gels and acrylics...but not here! FINALLY!! You know how challenging it is to find a nail salon that has all of the following; fair prices, good customer service, professional work and a clean establishment. Phancy Nails has it all! I'm so happy they are under new ownership because, wow! Tammy was my nail technician and was amazing! I appreciate the time she took to really clean and prep my nails/nail bed area and the attention to detail she gave when applying my gel manicure. These are small details that make a huge difference. I called last minute today to see if I could walk-in and the staff were extremely accommodating. I left my old acrylics on too long and they were starting to pull at my real nails, which was causing quite a bit of pain. My tech was extremely patient and attentive while getting them off. She worked quickly but also made sure to check-in regularly to make sure I wasn't in pain. They charged a very reasonable price of $25 (in addition to my tip) for the removal, buff and a clear coat of nail polish. Would highly recommend!! read more

I let Tammy freestyle my nails since I'll be celebrating my birthday this weekend and I must say SHE DID NOT DISAPPOINT!!! She is so talented I'm still in shock. My nails came out flawless and they glow in the dark lol. She also worked a miracle on my feet, I had a terrible accident that left my right big toe completely gone. This is a really good nail spa. I was a walk-in and they took me in about 20 minutes. Mimi, my nail technician, did a consult with me to determine how I wanted my nails to look, and then explained the best way to achieve it. There was no pain, and my nails came out lovely. read more

I went to this location because of where it is and its clientele. I assumed it would be a great option. I'm new to the neighborhood and was looking for a new salon because my old salon is too far from my new home. So, I walked into the salon, they were empty, I asked if they had a qualified eyebrow technician, they stated that they did. I said great. I asked if they could clean up and shape my eyebrows because I had been growing them from another technician ruining the shape. They promised to take care of me, I laid down, and they proceeded to ruin my eyebrows right before an important job interview. I am so livid right now. She tore my hair out of my eyebrow and then continued to work on me while calling everyone in there to see what she had done, without informing me. Once she was done ruining my eyebrows, she handed me a mirror and said sorry. I've never been so close to choking someone out in my life. But I kept my composure and just left. Horrible service. They truly don't even deserve one star. read more

Call beforehand to ask questions! Keep an eye out! Check and see if the manicurist uses clean and new manicuring tools! Lack of good hygienic standards, in fact, probably a health code violation earns a 1 star for my rating. It wasn't until my feet were immersed that I realized that the disposable nail file used on me was not a fresh one as it already had nail polish and scratch marks on it, nor did the buff pad, manicure scissors and cuticle tool come from a sealed package, but rather just out of a cup on her rolling cart. She took no time between me, and the bridal party, to switch or sterilize instruments. I was appalled when my nails were drying and I saw my manicurist dump out her little waste container into the garbage can, then she pulled out the 2 spongy toe separators that she had used on me from the garbage. When she had placed them on my feet, they had come from a ziploc bag, which was reassuring given my other observations, but now I think she had just put the used ones back into her bag. Eeek! Gross! I just hope I don't get a nail fungus from having my nails done here! It appeared as if different manicurists had different levels of skill and attention to detail. The woman I had was older- 50's. She didn't speak much English, though was very pleasant. The manicure and pedicure were just ok. I have never experienced such a disregard for hygiene in a nail salon. read more

Avoid if you value cleanliness, etiquette, and overall have high expectations. Will be returning back to my previous waxer.
