Honestly, I hate to write a negative review during this time, as completely understand the time. But one thing that is incredibly rude that I can't look past is how rude some of the staff was. We were packing up to leave, putting stuff in our boxes, and they kept dimming the lights on us to get us to hurry out. The only reason I'm really pissed is because my dad has a degenerative eye disease where he can't see at night, and them dimming the lights literally messes with his vision and makes him not able to see. It was so rude and something they shouldn't have done because they saw we were leaving in the first place. You can choose to be rude to other guests, but remember you never know if they have invisible disabilities. It upset him so much. Literally never ever coming back here with how much my dad goes through, to have him subjected to this staff. We were also some of the only customers and our drinks took so long. My experience at PF Changs was terrible. They were grossly under staffed and we had multiple order mistakes. First we ordered our drinks and my Auntie received a dirty cup, then we got our food and we ordered fried shrimp wonton and received steamed shrimp dumplings on top of that I ordered a fried rice with no chicken and no eggs and I received a bowl of fried rice with chicken and I let them know I am a vegetarian , I specified it very clearly.Second off my mother ordered Changs spicy chicken it came out soggy and tasted old.Third we asked for fried won tons To go and we received a box on top of that we asked for something they would for get or not bring it until we reminded them. read more

I used to visit the Houston location years ago and never had any issues. Each time my husband and I would get ready to go to dinner I would say let's go to PF Chang and he would say no. Well this time I suggested he agreed. We entered the restaurant and decided to sit at the bar. We were greeted by a bartender that looked like she was physically and emotionally drained. I get it everyone has a bad day but you're front line and you have to make your customers feel like they should be spending money. Another thing that bothered me is she didn't even give us time to sit down before asking what we wanted to drink, I'm like dang let me put my purse down first. I waited a few minutes because I wasn't sure. Next the hostess comes behind the bar and intervenes for no apparent reason and asks what we wanted to drink. I was hesitant because I didn't feel she would make my drink correctly. I ordered a Hennessey Margarita and received a glass full of ice. The drink could have been good, but she decided to give me a glass of ice with 4 sips of drink. She walked off so fast after sitting my drink down I couldn't tell her I was unhappy, so I asked the bartender to remove the ice. Well she did so by placing my glass over the sink and spooning out the ice now I have a 1/2 cup of margarita. I'm pissed by now. Some of the food started to arrive and it was room temperature. I asked the bartender where my lettuce wraps were and she said she didn't hear me order them. She stated that she would rush the order. Well they came out within 3 mins and the lettuce was full of water and the veggies (I can't even tell you what they were) had no flavor I mean NONE! I sent them back. Now I'm aggravated because if you know me you know I don't play when it comes to food. The food here has changed, and it seems that I would have been better off going to a drive thru. The bartender was nice and took the drink off the bill. Chain restaurants are suffering since Covid. I think my husband was trying to be funny and teach a listen to me lesson by agreeing to eat here. This place has gone down hill. It used to be me and my wife's go to place for date night at least once a month. When COVID hit everything closed, so we were really happy they re-opened for dine in. We made reservations with our daughters and we're excited. Needless to say it was horrible. The wonton soup was room temperature. The lettuce wraps were sub par. We got three different entrees and all were just okay. I know times are hard with getting people to work, but you're going to drive business away. We set a reservation and the wait time was only 15 mins , we chose a outside seating and it was a great atmosphere and clean. Our waiter Madison was amazing and nice, she interacted with us as a customer and made the experience pleasant. The appetizer we order was the dynamite shrimp, it was cold and poorly seasoned, and may i suggest to stop putting a ridiculous amount of rice noodles on the food. We each ordered our entree and was charged separate for fried rice but only received one bowl of rice to share. Upon approaching the host desk, the man says "who are you?"... very unprofessional. We weren't seated until 25 minutes after 8. Our server was very nice but very bad at the job. Had to ask for more water and he still only brought two when clearly all three of us needed water. Our appetizers didn't come out until after we had finished our meals, and still we had to ask what happened to them. Also, he brought our chicken out and said "the rice will be another few minutes... by a few he meant 20. Just a very poor experience overall. Disappointing because A) it was our first time eating at a Chang's and B) we were celebrating a birthday, which was indicated on the reservation, but there was no mention made of it by the host or the server. Will not be returning to this location. $117 really hurt for such a poor experience. If there was a zero rating, I would have used it. I realize everyone is trying their best to recover from the lack of staff but the experience I had tonight was down right terrible, and didn't have anything to do with the amount of staffing that I could see. My husband and I went to have a nice dinner with a gift card I received for my upcoming birthday. Well, it took over an hour for our entrées to come out. Our waiter was missing in action almost the entire time too. We did order an appetizer which did come out fairly quickly but after that everything went down hill. After about 30 mins of waiting for our entrees, our waiter appears to apologize for the wait and tells us that the kitchen is backed up because of to go orders, like that was supposed to make us feel better. Ask if there is anything he can get us, I was thinking, like what are you going to get us if you can't get anything out of the kitchen, totally dumbfounded by his offer. We were sitting close to where the to go orders were being picked up, and one after another are leaving while we sit waiting for our food. I spot what I thought was a manager cleaning the table next to us. I ask, are you a manager, he says no, I'm one of the managing partners. I was thinking awesome, hopefully I will get some where. I explained to him we have been at the restaurant over a hour and still don't have our dinner. I shared what our waiters said about the to go orders. He proceeded to gives us some song and dance about how they prioritize guest in the restaurant first, that couldn't have been further from the truth. I know this because we were witnessing it first hand seeing all the folks leaving with to go orders. Says he's going to go check on our meal, all of a sudden our waiter appears with our meals and he tries to make a funny about it. Mind you we haven't seen our waiter in like 30 mins, my husband even had to grab another waiter to get a second cocktail, which was slow coming out. Throughout this whole experience no real sincere apology from the waiter nor the "managing partner". I wasn't looking for anything free because after all we were using a gift card, however an offer to take care of our appetizer or one of my husband's drinks would have been a appropriate jester as a veteran of the hospitality industry. Chang's for the first time at this very same Buford location just a few months after they opened (over a decade ago). I can't completely remember what I ordered, but one item was Calamari tempura. Calamari is practically sacred to me and once upon a time it was the determining factor as to whether or not I would be a regular at a restaurant. If you could satisfy my calamari fixation, I would be a customer for life! Needless to say I didn't like it and never returned. Fast forward 12 years in time to the grass courtyard @ Mall of Georgia where my wife and I waited to meet friends for dinner. I don't visit the mall very often on Saturday evenings, but it seemed unusually busy. I mean it was crazy traffic, almost like it was Black Friday! People on top of people and finding a parking space was a game of Musical Chairs. Wait times at all restaurants hovered between 60 to 90 minutes, so we placed our names on three lists as we waited for our friends. We also grabbed menus from those locations to help us decide. Does anyone else ever do that? My wife is a big Cheesecake Factory fan because she loves one dish in particular, the Sweet Corn Tamale Cakes (appetizer she gets as a meal). I must admit it is a great dish and I also order it from time to time with a side of protein. However, as we studied the P.F. Chang menu more, several items begin to entice our curiosity. Since we had an hour wait time I check-in and asked my yelp family which dish was their favorite @ P.F. Chang's. I also googled the same question online AND asked three other couples waiting to be seated. Overwhelmingly the Crispy Honey Chicken and Mongolian Beef were among the top choices. Suddenly my heart and taste buds were set on having these items. I honestly never thought I'd return here, but I found myself eager to be seated to try these dishes. ----- THE FOOD * CRISPY GREEN BEANS (appetizer) | $7.50 (4 stars) The green beans themselves were just okay, but when paired with the signature spicy dipping sauce they became something special! * CHICKEN LETTUCE WRAP (appetizer) | $9.25 (4 stars) One of my wife's rare attempts to eat meat now that she is seeking more protein. I have a very sensitive nose and can detect the slightest smells (seriously), so I hate going in most public restrooms. I used to eat at PF Chang's back in the day when we shopped at the mall and always looked forward to eating there. Just had the most frustrating experience I have been subjected to in a very long time. I was home alone and thought I'd treat myself to some good food. I ordered through "Door Dash". The food was ordered at 6:45 and delivered about two hours or more later. I had two door dashers say that they were sorry but the food was taking too long and they needed to leave . A third door dasher delivered the food. I have never had a door dasher say the wait was too long before. The meal was still warm when it got to me ( I live 4 miles from the restaurant ) but the food itself was certainly not worth the wait or the money . I brought my mom here for dinner and we sat at the bar cause it was so busy. It was not a bad view though cause they have a clear window where we could see everyone's delicious plates being whipped up in the kitchen. We ordered the spare ribs to start, the oolong sea bass and a Cesar asian salad with shrimp. The ribs took way too long to arrive... I think we waited 15-20 minutes. It was obvious it had been sitting in the kitchen cause our entrees came out only a minute after. When the ribs did arrive, they had been cooled down and weren't hot anymore, which took away from the tenderness. They did taste amazing though, tangy and sweet and just a tiny bit of smoky. It comes with 6 to an order with a side of yummy spicy pickled carrot veggie mix. I was disappointed with the late timing on the ribs but the sea bass made up for it. I was so hungry I forgot to even take photos of our entrees! This bass was beautiful, perfectly cooked to tender perfection and I was surprised with how big and thick of a filet it was! The soy based sauce paired delightly with it as well. Definitely good to share if you have a small stomach. Their Cesar salad is amazing, the Parmesan cheese is pungent and evident, and the crispy wontons add a pleasant crunch. Such a yummy simple salad! read more

However, the couple sitting next to us complained to management and left without eating. I don't know how long they had been waiting but we were about to leave when the food came. Okay so I was a little curious about the 3.5 stars this P.F. Chang's has on yelp and I have to say I am surprised. This is the 2nd time I have come to this location, the 1st with a large party of 9, and I have to say service, food and atmosphere have been above par. So here is my breakdown: Service: Hostess was very pleasant and quick to locate seating. Our waiter was top notch. He had a great personality and was super nice. Quick on the refills and quick on the cleanup. Food: I had the Lobster Avocado Roll to start. YUM YUM YUM! I did not share one piece. Consumed it myself and proud of it. I also had the Miso Salmon with fried brown rice. Yes, I ate all of it and it was cooked perfectly. Again, I did not share which meant I was enjoying it so much I didn't care about the stares from table patrons. Atmosphere: always upbeat and kinda noisy. If you're looking for an intimate time with your date, this is not the place. Music and conversations cause you to have to speak loudly. Not a place you want to bring someone to plot to take over the world. Parking is easy because it's the mall. They have valet, and I recommend that because who wants to walk in this GA heat. We went for our son's birthday last night. They didn't have a third of the items on the menu (cauliflower appetizers, ramen soup, or lobster dumplings). The rolls were not tasty, and they brought out sesame chicken that was so cold it felt like they got it from the fridge. Then, they took it back and brought it back within a minute, still cold. I would rate this place a 0 star if i could. I don't know what type of school cafeteria crew that have running this circus, but it's unbelievable. Took 10 minutes just for an employee to come up to me at the entrance. After we were seated the waitress took our drink order and then we ordered appetizers at the same time. I waited longer than 20 minutes until i asked where it was at. It finally came. It wasn't bad the pork dumplings but thats the best part of my entire wasted evening at P.F. Changs. Ive been coming here for years now and finally writing a review. Still one of my favorites but over the past couple of years just can't take the crowds at the mall, which is the only reason I don't come more. But tonight my son and I went to see a movie so I called ahead and arrived a bit early to just get some appetizers before the movie. Pros. This is an upscale, pricey Chinese albeit at the mall. The service has most always been spot on, the table is clean, drinks are good, food is really good. Appetizers are great for sharing- the lettuce wraps are the best around; fried green beans addictive, and won tons on par with others. Nice weight to the chop sticks ( I like real chop sticks). Desert shot glasses- as I call them are the bomb! Just a 3 bite snack with many choices finishes the meal and have booths and tables to accommodate those needing desired seating. Cons. Mostly the cons to me are first, its at the mall and parking is a bitch. Always! Then, Waiting. There is always a wait but hit and miss for me as if I have my elderly mom- I always call ahead and tell them I'm bringing an 80 yr old who can't stand long and we time it right to usually get sat quick. So call ahead when you can. I think some nights are limited. Lastly, its quite pricey. I usually have coupons or gift cards from friends otherwise I go to China Bistro in Dacula for my Chinese fix. Food. I have never had sushi here- not a sushi place - but every dish has always been plentiful, tasty and good quality. The HUGE soup to share goes quick, appetizers are really good like those mentioned about but also the egg rolls and spring rolls are tasty as well. There is a plethora of options of dinners from chinese to tai to sushi. Been lucky on all but one visit for service having some top notch servers that are timely, efficient, and pleasant. Not in your face, not disappearing for 30 minutes or more. Although we often come and get around 5 appetizers and soup, the dining experience is nice, atmosphere is classy, and just a good place to sit and chill with a cold beer or Saki. Happy hour starts at 5 ( maybe at a bit earlier?) so that's what got us hooked on apps since they are a great value. If you're at the mall, and stop by, expect a wait. I had heard so many mixed reviews about P.F. Chang's before I finally visited for myself for the very first time a few weeks ago. When two of my friends and I arrived around 3 pm on a Thursday, the place was pretty packed. This was way past lunchtime and before dinner, so I was surprised that we had a bit of a wait before we were seated. Initially, we were seated in the back left table closest to the restrooms. It's the worst table in the restaurant. My friends didn't really seem to care, so I thought about just sucking it up and sitting there. However, I thought about it for a few minutes and then realized that I really didn't want to sit there. Personally, I refuse to sit at restaurant tables by the restrooms (if I can help it) because I think it's disgusting to eat while the restroom doors swing open and closed the entire time you're eating. It never ceases to amaze me that some people just don't care about that! After looking at the menu for a few minutes, my friends and I decided to order the Chicken Lettuce Wraps ($7.75), Spicy Chicken ($13.75), and Shrimp with Candied Walnuts ($15.95) to eat "family style." Before our food came out, our server created a sauce at our table by combining chili sauce, soy sauce, and a mustard-type of sauce (I believe). I guess each server comes up with their own name for the sauce (which I have completely forgotten) since, depending on how much of each sauce you mix into it, it'll taste different. I actually enjoyed the sauce with the Spicy Chicken! The Chicken Lettuce Wraps appetizer comes with 3 pieces of lettuce, and the entrees come with white rice. At first, my friends and I thought that we wouldn't be getting more lettuce, so we tore our pieces of lettuce into smaller pieces. We made little bite-sized lettuce wraps, which were delicious! The minced chicken made for the lettuce wrap appetizer has bits of water chestnuts in it, and it has a great flavor. We were bummed when we finished our lettuce, so I decided to ask the server if he could bring us more lettuce. He responded that the lettuce is "unlimited," so we were very happy. The "Spicy Chicken" was barely spicy at all. It reminded me of something that you would get from Panda Express for $6 or so. It was alright, but for $13.75, I was disappointed. The "special sauce" made by our server made the Spicy Chicken taste so much better. My favorite dish was the Shrimp with Candied Walnuts! My sister, Yoomee H., had told me that it was kind of like my favorite Chinese dish - honey walnut shrimp. I couldn't agree more! The shrimps are deep-fried and tossed in this delicious, mayo-based sauce along with pieces of candied walnut and tiny scoops of honey dew melon. It's seriously like heaven in your mouth if you've never tried it before! I definitely recommend it to all shrimp-lovers out there. =) Each of us enjoyed at least 2 bowls of their "unlimited" white rice (they come in tiny bowls!), and we were stuffed when we were done. Overall, I feel that P.F. Chang's deserves 3.5 stars - for decent service and good food. However, I think the food is overpriced for quality and amount they serve. The Spicy Chicken was not great (2 star for that), but I really enjoyed the Chicken Lettuce Wraps (4 stars) and Shrimp with Candied Walnuts (4.5 stars). My favorite appetizer is the crispy green beans...they fry the green beans & they are so crunchy & salty! My favorite entree is the kung pao shrimp, it is spicy & crunchy. Ordered to-go on Valentine's Day. Talked with Mrs. Caroline over the phone who told us our wait time and was kind to us on the phone, even making us laugh. We arrived within our order time and was told by someone at the front that it would be another hour. We called back and Mrs. Caroline answered. She told us she would find out more about our order. Within 20min, she called us back to let us know that it was ready and that she personally saw to it that it was finished and waiting for us.
