The door was unlocked, so we walked in. A staff member told us they didn't open until 11:00 and asked us to wait outside. He also told us that we should only come in when the sign outside was lit. I completely understand that the restaurant has business hours, but it was only three minutes before opening. Also, it's summer and the sunlight is very bright, making it extremely difficult to tell whether the sign is lit or not. The three-minute wait wasn't the issue. What bothered me was the way the staff member spoke to us. It felt more like he was lecturing us than politely communicating with customers. Unfortunately, this experience was enough for us not to come back, and I would not recommend this restaurant to my friends.

We ordered our food which took some time but the wait wasn't too bad. We ordered the fresh basil rolls as an appetizer, I ordered the shrimp & garlic wine and my friend ordered the tiger tears salad. We also ordered 2 cocktails a old fashioned and a lychee martini. As well as the mango with sticky rice for dessert. Let me tell you all the food was tasty and excellent. The ambiance was very cool. Definitely a cool place for a date night. I can say I will definitely be back again.

This place doesn't look like much from the outside but the food is definitely hole-in-the-wall good quality. I tried the Singaporean noodle and the curry taste is fantastic. Give it a shot and you might be a regular especially if you are far away from Pleasant Hill/ Duluth area. The owner told me the Pho is a must try and that is what I will be getting for my next visit. read more
