Welcome.
Laura C.

We walked in on Sunday evening a little after 7pm for dinner. Someone was cleaning the floors. A strong smell of pine sol. This is the first time we were seated and then asked TO LEAVE. The owner came over and said something to the effect that the area was being cleaned and would the smell bother us. We had actually ordered hot tea to drink. I drove 25mins to give Chen's a try. A huge NOPE for me

Freezer burned - old miserable - garbage!

WOW WHAT A HUGE MISTAKE!!! Really disappointed at this experience. Tried to order from here since we get Chinese at least twice a week - so we wanted this place would be a a good neighborhood gem. The food was so bad - I almost don't know where to begin, other than I wish we had not deviated from our regular place in Duluth called a Taste of China. We didn't want to drive down there, as we had a long day driving and thought why not give it a try? So this 1st order was certainly our last - aside the rice after being on the phone for like nearly 15 minutes, which was nice of the young girl - to make sure it was being prepared right. Outside of that - the food was wrong! The rest of the order was just miserable, from the ribs being old and near petrified (I ordered well done to make sure they would be fresh and they were certainly NOT! - They were so inedible - I didn't even give the meat which was so dry - like they were freeze dried - to the dogs! We had honey chicken - and to be fair they made it off the menu - but it was disgusting. We ordered fried rice with egg and white onion - why he was the subject of much of the discussion - as we said no scallions! So wouldn't you know it? Loaded with them - which we had called about and they offered to bring it over my house - just leave the wrong rice at the door and they would have left the replacement rice at the door - wifey was so upset about the rice and egg roll which was like a soggy sponge - we cancelled it. They gave us $7.90 back on the card - which the rest of the almost $60 - Belch! Soups tasted like chlorine water and wontons were like play dough. Noodle bags were really oily and I am happy we bought 4 extra bags. Everything was miserable down to the MIS-fortune cookies, which were STALE! Damn EPIC FAIL!

I'm new here at this neighborhood so I would like to try all options and for sure this is a place that we will have a lot of meals! First we tried the shrimp fried rice and I loved! The portion size is really good and fair price!!!! Shrimps are in a good size too!!! Today I tried delivery at lunch time, we ordered chicken orange, chicken curry and dumplings pork OMG amazing!!!!! So fresh and taste really good!!!!! The size is really good we could have lunch and dinner!

Very good tasting food however, the restaurant itself is filthy. Dirty to include terrible smells like backed up sewer.

Great Chinese food in the local area. Our go to spot for Chinese food. I get the sweet and sour chicken with extra chicken every time!

Yum! Always quick ale ready to pick up and always good. Also, portions are large and most of the time we have lunch the next day.

My partner and I decided to try Tani Thai 02.20.2026 and stopped by around 6:30PM for dinner…read more First off, the interior seemed clean and well-kept. The ambiance was dark and intimate, which I appreciated -- it gave the space a cozy, relaxed vibe that felt nice for a dinner date. The music was low and soft, which worked well since most of the tables were talking pretty loudly. It didn't feel chaotic or overstimulating, and we were still able to have a comfortable conversation. Service was decent -- we were seated quickly and the food came out in a reasonable amount of time. Here's what we ordered: Tiger's Tears ($15) - 3/5 This was the dish I was most excited about. It's described as grilled beef with chili-lime seasoning, onions, scallions, and sweet peppers. Unfortunately, it fell short of expectations. The beef was noticeably tough, chewy, and a bit sinewy rather than tender and juicy. The chili-lime sauce was very sharp and aggressively acidic -- overwhelmingly sour to the point where it masked the savory, char-grilled flavor of the meat. It was supposed to be spicy, but as an Asian who regularly eats and enjoys spicy food, there was barely any heat at all. The dish looked vibrant and colorful, but flavor-wise it felt unbalanced and slightly one-dimensional. Basil Fried Rice with Chicken ($18) - 2.5/5 The menu labeled this as spicy as well, but again, there was zero kick. Not even a subtle warmth. It tasted like very standard, plain fried rice -- mildly seasoned, slightly oily, and lacking depth. The fresh Thai basil aroma wasn't very pronounced, and the overall flavor felt muted and underwhelming. The chicken was okay texture-wise, but the dish as a whole didn't stand out or justify the price point. It needed more heat, more fragrance, and more boldness to feel like true Thai basil fried rice. Coconut Mushroom Soup with Chicken ($5.50) - 2/5 This one was disappointing. When it first arrived, it was comforting and creamy with a light coconut aroma. Initially, it tasted balanced and mildly savory. However, as it sat and I alternated between dishes, the flavor became increasingly sour and slightly off-putting. The chicken was extremely dry, stringy, and overcooked, which made it difficult to enjoy. The broth lacked the rich, silky depth I was hoping for and ended up tasting thin, overly acidic, and somewhat flat. Thai Teas ($5.50 each) - 3.5/5 Honestly, these saved the night. Sweet, creamy, and refreshing -- exactly what you expect from a good Thai tea. Smooth, well-balanced, and flavorful. Water - 0/5 I took one sip and didn't touch it again. It tasted like straight tap water with a faint cleaning solution scent. Thankfully, we had the Thai Teas to rely on. Overall, the experience was okay but not memorable. The atmosphere and ambiance were pleasant, but the food didn't quite deliver -- especially considering how Thai cuisine is typically bold, aromatic, spicy, and layered. For us, the dishes leaned either too sour or too bland, without much balance in between. Given the prices, we were expecting more depth and stronger flavors. Not a terrible experience, but not one we'd rush back for either.

Not all heroes wear capes. Technically, this was my second visit. The first time, I wanted to write a review... but I tragically spilled our entire order in the car on the way home. (RIP, first impression.) So this round was my redemption meal. Everything was packed with care and precision, like a tiny takeout Tetris master handled it. Utensils, sauces, lime--all included. Not a single thing forgotten. A+ for organization. Chicken Pho: Loaded with tender chicken, flavorful broth, and enough liquid gold left over to sip the next day like a cozy little leftover gift. My 1-year-old shared it with me (tiny foodie in the making). I tossed in the hoisin, sriracha, fish sauce, and lime they provided, and boom: flavor bomb. Beef Drunken Noodles (Medium Heat): I ordered "medium" and they actually gave me medium--not "let us burn TF out of your mouth". Perfect balance. Again, the tiny foodie gave it 2 thumbs up!

Everything was great. Crispy rolls not pictured. This is the best drunken noodle with beef I have had in twenty years. Honestly I had given up ordering it because of prior disappointment. But it was great. Got medium spicy and may ask for hot spice level next time. The green pepper and carrot were perfectly cooked with a bit of crunch left but not raw. The beef was perfectly tender and a generous portion. The wings!! I have tried these wings wherever I can find them. These were perfectly crispy with a great carmelized fish sauce glaze. It was simple. Nothing fancy but perfectly done. Try them. Umami bomb! Not too fishy. Just flavor. Sweet, salty, crispy and juicy. The fresh spring roll was great too. I don't like when they are overstuffed with lettuce to make them look bigger. There was plenty of pork, vermicelli, cucumber and coriander (cilantro). Again, flavorful bites with the peanut sauce to round it out. The only thing I am upset about is I just found this place and it is just down the road from me.. so excited! The family that runs it is kinda and attentive. They have Chinese, Thai and added Vietnamese during covid when they took over. Everything is made with care. I tried their bahn mi on my previous visit and it was good but would go to a bahn mi place in norcross that specializes in bahn mi instead. This place is for great meals. Not just a sandwich grab. Hope you enjoy it

I loved Kari House and will definitely return--maybe weekly. :) The host was extremely friendly and hospitable, and continued to help us with water, napkins, and whatever we needed while we ate. The food was excellent! Teh Tarik was delicious and sweet, reminded me of Milk tea but of a greater concentration of tea. I loved the roti canai and will order extra roti next time, it was crunchy, hot, and chewy, definitely fresh. The Laksa noodles were delicious but the standout to me was the Chicken Rice, which was cooked perfectly tender and the accompanying rice was flavorful and moist. If you don't like skin on chicken, be aware that this dish authentically leaves the skin on. The sauces were a great addition to an already delicious meal. They have a lunch special on weekdays that I highly recommend, great value at $18 and comes with three items! Can't wait to go back!

The chicken rice was somewhat questionable - not sure why they chose to use grainy rice (or with rice bran?), and it kinda gave a smell that it went bad, if so, probably wasn't kept well after cooking. Threw it away after a few attempts. Should've called the business to let them know, but the day was busy.. Roti was, okay, probably would've been better if eaten right away, would not recommend for a take-out but eat in. Curry sauce was good, with bits of potato to entertain the palette. Cute little space with patronage in and out. Having a Malay close by for an option, definitely a blessing tho.

Because it's just that good. What makes this hot pot special: Large cooked kitchen menu AUCE included in hot pot price. Including rare items, like; braised tea eggs, sichuan shredded potato, gyoza, Taiwanese style pop chicken nuggets, and more. Unlimited chicken wings, made fresh. And, the wet lemon pepper slaps. Meat portions are so large that I order half portion. Sauce buffet bar here is the best in Georgia. Super clean, refilled often, and even has amazing peppercorn oil 花椒油. Want my sauce recipe? Luxurious and cute interior space, filled with white marble and Tiffany blue tableware. Their house pickles are on the buffet and are super addictive. I eat about 3 large bowls per visit. My only complaint here is that the broths are very mild in flavor and meats aren't the highest quality --- but the value, price, cooked items selection, and sauce bar makes up for it. The beautiful Tiffany blue plating and white marble decor here reminds me of the late and lovely hotpot place in Taiwan, Jiu Zhai Shi Guo 九寨十鍋-中山旗艦店. This is the Buford location only. Other locations don't appear to have all you can eat hot pot. I still need to try their dim sum menu.
