Pho Special Noodle Soup
Jason H.

Cute small family owned restaurant! The owners might be the nicest people I've ever met at a restaurant. They were so attentive to our needs and so kind. The food was wonderful too. I really enjoyed the Lemongrass Beef Noodle Soup. Will definitely be back.

So many delicious options here and the service is wonderful. We come as often as we can.

This place blew my mind. From the richness of the broth to the cleanliness of the restaurant, everything about Pho & Spice was super. Me and my sister walked in on a random Sunday afternoon and we were seated within seconds and had our food out within 10 minutes of us ordering!! However the speed wasn't what I was impressed by, but it's the quality of their ingredients. We both got their--forgive my spelling--pho dat biec and the broth was so rich and light in color (good thing ifykyk). Not only that, the portions were super generous for the price! My sister was a little bummed out that they don't serve ramen anymore but she was very satisfied by the pho. 10/10 will come again!!!

Spicy eggplant and tofu

Quaint little place with limited seating which might be an issue if really busy. I came in while it was fairly busy but still had no problem getting a table and people were basically finishing up and it cleared out quickly. The one weird thing is I didn't think I'd ever been there before, but it looked familiar. Started out with tom yum tofu soup and spring rolls. Both were good but the spring rolls I felt were just a tad overcooked but still good. Finished up with spicy eggplant with tofu. Also tasty and had a nice amount of spice. I was torn between that dish and the red curry but decided on the eggplant. The lady who was running the front and going it all by herself was very nice. I think she was probably one of the owners. It's located right by The Home Depot off Braselton Highway.

Pho Ga

Pho is my weakness. I have my usual Pho spots but wanted to try something new. This place has about 5-6 tables inside. The lady working (I'm not sure if she's the owner) was very sweet and very attentive. This place had a steady flow of traffic between dine-in and take out yet the food didn't take long to arrive at the table. I had the Pho Ga (Chicken) and it was perfect. I recommend if you are in the area!

Dancing Mango

The food was amazing and fresh. The service was great and the family was very attentive to our needs. They let us take our time and enjoy the food. I ordered the Dancing Avocado and they apologized they didn't have and explained they were servicing with mango instead. I decided to try it, and it was delicious. I can't wait to go back and try something new!

Green shrimp curry

It's a cheerful little place, nice and clean, yay no sticky tables. The service was very good. Really nice people who were fun to talk with. I have been to many Thai and Vietnamese places since moving to Georgia from California. I used to live in the Bay Area for part of my childhood. Super authentic and fresh food out there. This place brings my childhood back. I can say this place definitely is on par. The menu has a lot of options and I can't wait to come back and try more. I wish I had a second stomach so I could try more food at one time. I got Tofu Summer rolls and the tofu was freshly fried for the rolls, crispy and warm. The lettuce was crunchy and fresh inside. The sauce was good I wish I would have asked for extra but I was trying to not be greedy. I also ordered the Green curry with shrimp. They do not skimp on the portion size and everything was so fresh it comes with shrimp(nice size ones) eggplant, carrots, green beans, bell peppers and bamboo shoots, also has fresh Thai basil. Not too spicy, just enough kick for people who don't eat spicy often. I will be back. They just opened not too long ago and I hope they continue to be there. Thank you for a great meal on a day I wasn't feeling particularly happy. Made my day.

Amazing food and amazing service if you are anywhere even close to here you have to check it out! Blows all similar restaurants in the area out of the water.

Food was excellent! Service was outstanding! The owner, Lena, was so nice and welcoming. The restaurant is cozy and small but very clean and neat! We will be back again!

Pho Viet - C-5 Com Tom Nuong (BBQ jumbo shrimp over broken rice)

Pho Viet

After living in Covington for nearly 2 years, we finally decided to try Pho Viet.... And we are extremely thankful we did. Although we didn't actually try any Pho, we enjoyed every bite. BBQ Beef Short Ribs over Broken Rice (C4):Tender, not too chewy, well seasoned, and a subtle sauce that doesn't over-power. We did enjoy the rice after dipping it in the fish sauce/spicy sauce combo; it's a bit different though. Vietnamese Braised Wings-Original (A6): Probably the best dish we had. The wings were cooked perfectly. Pippin' hot when they came out, and the slightly sweet/garlic flavor was bang on. Must try Vermicilli- BBQ Shrimp, BBQ Sliced Pork, Egg Rolls (B5)-The sliced pork was the best protein we had for the meal. A bit heavy on the cabbage, but we'd rather too much than not enough. Noodles were tender and firm, and not clumpy or stuck together Strawberry Passion Fruit Tea: Delicate balance of sweetness with the tea. It wasn't a heavy drink where you only taste flavorings, it hit all the notes equally. Delicious The cherry on top was chef John. He gave great recommendation for the dishes, how he'd recommend we eat them, and a sauce that we should try (always try the sauce). We will certainly be back.

Pho Viet is a solid option for pho in the area. I ordered the beef pho with the thinner sliced…read morebeef. The portion size was generous, and the service was fast and attentive as always. For me personally, the broth needed a little extra help from the add-ins (hoisin, sriracha, herbs, etc.) to really bring out the flavor I was looking for. Once adjusted, it was enjoyable. I will say prices seem to have gone up a bit, but you do get a decent amount of food for what you pay. Overall, it's a reliable spot when you're craving pho.

So far I have had the pho twice, the rice cubes, and the shaking beef. Everything tasted great. Big parking lot for free parking. It is amazing how similar my visits have been. Staff was not as attentive as I would have like. My table had everything I needed so my meal was not interrupted. Getting my bill took longer than expected. I think the servers do not want to interrupt your meal but I wish they would come by more often. This place looks a little rough on the outside but it is extremely clean and some what fancy on the inside. The combination Pho has all the different types of meat. I remember the meatballs, flank steak, and tripe. Next time I will get something simpler.

I like Nam Phuong. I don't dislike this place...but I don't get the hype. I've eaten here several…read moretimes and have covered the spread in terms of what they have to offer. I think their dishes although prepared authentically are underwhelming in terms of the depths in flavor and really the soul of Vietnamese food. I'm not an expert but I've eaten my fair share of Vietnamese food for a standard issue white girl. The pork patty was dry and likely made at the beginning of the week and just reheated as the week went on. It was pretty bland and had this rubbery overly bouncy consistency and literally snapped when I bit into it. It basically got lost amongst all the fresh herbs too. As you can tell from the photo the Bánh bột chiên was burnt and it ended up being burnt on both sides. The squares were cut too thick...and because they were cut too thick they were on the mushy side even after being overly pan fried. All of the veg was fresh and well cleaned, the rice noodles were not overly sticky and clumped together. The pickled carrot/daikon were tasty. The server I had was attentive and polite. The interior was as to be expected and I couldn't care less that it's a little rough around the edges. If the tile isn't cracked, if the booth's vinyl isn't taped up, the utensils aren't mismatched and the tables aren't wobbly then I don't trust the place!! Like I said-I don't dislike it here. I just don't see the hype. Then again I feel like I have to piece together my favorite dishes from several spots between Doraville/Chamblee and Duluth, so maybe it's because I haven't found one place that checks all the boxes and I can get all my favs from one place. I will come again...because I love Bánh hỏi.

Pho Dai Loi 3 is a hidden gem, you wont be disappointed…read more Super generous portions and amazing flavor as well. Definitely will be my go-to!

I want to be upfront with this review and call out my experience honestly…read more Personally, I'm sensitive to heavy MSG usage. When I eat at many Japanese or Korean soup restaurants that don't rely heavily on MSG, I rarely get headaches afterward. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case here. I ordered the bún bò Huế, a spicy and rich Vietnamese noodle soup originating from the central city of Huế. Traditionally, it features a bold, savory broth flavored with lemongrass, shrimp paste, and chili oil, served with thick rice vermicelli noodles, sliced beef, pork (often shank or knuckle), and fresh herbs with crunchy vegetables like banana blossom or cabbage. The portion was generous and visually accurate to the dish, but the broth felt extremely heavy and overpowering for me, and I left with a noticeable headache--something that doesn't usually happen to me at similar soup-focused restaurants. As a side note, the restaurant had a health inspection score of 81 (low B) the last time I checked, which is fairly in line with many older, high-volume ethnic restaurants, but still worth mentioning for transparency. The location is also something to be aware of. It's in a busy parking lot with a lot of reckless driving activity, so be careful when walking--this isn't the kind of place where you can casually stroll through the lot like you might at Whole Foods or Publix. You definitely need to watch left and right. The surrounding businesses include an American Deli and a pizza buffet, which gives you an idea of the overall environment. Overall, Pho Dai Lo serves authentic, bold-flavored Vietnamese dishes, and fans of strong, intense broths may enjoy it. However, if you're sensitive to very rich seasoning or additives, your experience may vary. Im Asian btw I know msg is used in a lot of viet and Chinese dishes and maybe the reasons why I enjoyed this dish. But I do have regret after coming out. It's not cheap either for two person with tip roughly $20 pp. u can get all you can eat buffet or even the Gohan seafood buffet if you think about it.
