    Basil Fried Rice

We had a wonderful experience at Fusion Asian Bistro last night. Our server was super friendly and gave great recommendations. There was a lot of seating and our food came quickly. We had hot and sour soup to start - my husband and I shared one bowl which was the perfect amount for an appetizer. We also had the steamed chicken dumplings, which were delicious. We then ordered the basil fried rice, General Tso's chicken and beef pepper steak. The basil fried rice was very tasty but definitely had a kick to it. The General Tso's chicken was perfectly crisped with just the right amount of batter and sauce. The pepper steak was tender and had a good amount of sauce as well. It's so great to find a place that serves Chinese food made with halal meat! I am definitely planning to come back here!

This is my one of my favorite places to come to! It doesn't matter when I come here, I know I can expect the food to be the best! I have tried almost everything on the menu, and EVERYTHING is amazing! However, my go to meal is the Panang Curry (with extra sauce) and I get the fried rice with it. You know we gotta make it spicy as well! And the owners are super sweet and humble!! They come and meet with us every time we go eat there! Definitely go check this place out! I love coming here!

I'm surprised to find this cozy and authentic little place in a city that's very Americanized with hardly any Asian restaurants. The restaurant wasn't very large, but it's large enough to accommodate a large party. This place was sort of empty (only 2 to 3 small groups or pairs of folks) when my group wandered in around 7 PM for dinner two Sundays ago. I noticed that people did come in and out fairly quickly as I guess this is a good to-go place. The pad Thai I had was very good. It wasn't the best, but it was definitely above average. Props in the visual and taste category. My date's kung pao chicken was delicious too as I picked off his plate. The curry sauce that comes with it was bursting with flavor. My friend's Mongolian beef was okay. I wasn't really digging it as I thought it was too plain and not very flavorful. Overall, this was a very authentic place--food and decor. The furniture seemed like it was imported since the wood had beautiful carvings. The price range was decent and the staff was genuinely sweet.

They have the most amazing food here whether you are In the mood for Chinese or Thai or any other kind of food the Chef owner here will see to it that you leave here happy. They have milk teas and bubble teas now that are refreshing as well. And unlike most Asian places they do an amazing job with desserts as well. The miso soup does come with tofu so if you don't like tofu make sure to request that. They are open every day now so be sure to come by on Monday's - no dine in yet as of this post!

Which I really loved! Everything was hot and fresh! Most of my experiences with general tso's (for pick up or delivery) have been that the chicken skin is soggy. Or the chicken is tough. Not here though. The chicken had the perfect amount of sauce, flavor, and spice. And it wasn't spice just for heat. It was actually a good blend of spice and seasoning. The chicken skin had a little crunch to it and the chicken itself was tender and juicy. The fried rice was just brown rice, but that's ok. (In the 90's, fried rice came with onions, green peas, & carrots. But things have changed since the 2000's but I'm still adjusting to that lol). Overall, a great experience and I will be back!

It was also nice to see photos of customers who celebrated there in the past. We made reservations for hibachi but had to wait a little bit before the table was ready, but I appreciated that the staff was communicative about the delay. Staff was nice and attentive. The hibachi show was fun and entertaining, one of the more enjoyable ones I've seen! My husband enjoyed the sake and the ginger salad was very fresh, dressing was great as well. The soup was clear with a clean taste. The hibachi fried rice was aromatic and buttery. However, the noodles were not cooked on the hibachi grill, it came out before any of our meat/vegetables were cooked. Our shrimp and filet mignon was seasoned with a little bit of salt and pepper and was cooked perfectly. We shared an order of the fancy roll and spider roll. Both were delicious and beautifully present! I would recommend both! The restaurant also gives you a small complimentary slice of cake after the meal which was a great added bonus! We were told the dessert was made in house and flavors rotate which is pretty neat. Overall a really good experience!

We tried three specialty rolls and one cooked roll, and everything tasted really fresh. The miso soup was authentic and comforting, and the cucumber salad had a fun, unique presentation. The edamame was simple but done right -- fresh, not soggy. It's not a super fancy place, but we actually like that. The service was fast, and the whole experience felt easy and relaxed. We're newer to the area from NJ and still on the hunt for real, delicious sushi for our date nights, and this spot definitely hit the mark. We'll be back for more sushi soon.

Both girls kept waiting on us which kind of got annoying because both of them would ask over and over if you were ready to order and then both of them brought the check. The Double tiger sushi was roll kinda fishy tasting (crab meat) and the shrimp looked raw. It was $1.50 extra for cream cheese The chicken Katsu came with the sauce already on it so then it's soggy if you wanna eat it later, but without it, it really had no flavor. Overall, it was not a great experience and I felt like it was a waste of $50.

What I found instead felt like a small echo of what the place used to be. The food has shrunk in size while the prices have climbed, which makes the whole experience feel out of balance. I ordered the bao because it used to be the star of the show for me. I still remember the way they were fried on one side before, with that golden crisp that added texture and soul to every bite. This time the bao arrived soft and much smaller than I remembered. The flavor was fine, but the magic was missing. It felt like the memory of a painting that has faded over time. I do want to say that the staff were kind and welcoming. They suggested a hibachi special, which I was not interested in, but they made the attempt to guide my order. Their warmth was the best part of the visit. I left with a sense of nostalgia for what used to be. Maybe the menu has evolved or costs have changed, but the experience simply did not match the picture I carried with me. I hope the place finds its rhythm again, because it once held a special spot in my rotation.
