Chicken Pad Thai
Mari T.

I ordered this for takeout from one of the apps and this turned out to be very disappointing. I don't know how is this supposed to be Pad Thai and fried rice. The Pad Thai didn't taste like the Pad Thai I normally have. The sauce tasted like ketchup and was watery. The fried rice was plain. It tasted like they just poured some soy sauce and mixed it. It was a waste of money. I spent about $80. I ended up throwing the rest in the garbage. It was very saucy and salty. Definitely won't be ordering from here again.

Stopped in while my son was in class to pick up two bento boxes number twos and I was informed that they only do it during lunch not doing dinner. The restaurant was empty. I mean empty known was in there. It's a simple little sushi box. so they refuse to sell it to me 16 bucks apiece little pricey, but it out a convenience so we left went to Kroger And fed 2 kids sushi rolls $10 and they were tickled to death so thank you very much for saving me money and I will not be back because they don't provide customer service. Such a little gesture sure no problem here it is $31.09. ButConfucius says customer service is essential to prosperity.

Food was tasty and came out very quickly. Portions are nice if you want to share and the staff is limited but they manage to tend to your needs. Restaurant itself isn't upscale but it isn't dirty and gets the job done if you're craving Chinese food. There is enough space to dine in with even a large group.

Call before arriving. They are dining in and doing takeout. They answered the phone quickly and answered what I needed. Lunch specials are $6.99 and comes with rice, spelling roll, and crab Rangoon! Love it! Food was done in 5 minutes! Piping, fresh and hot!!! I ordered shrimp in lobster sauce. I am most definitely coming back here, all around 5 stars!

Since we recently moved we got in the mail a bunch of coupons, deals and more on the mail, including a gift card from Green Tea. My mom and me decided to try this place for lunch and it was pretty good. From the lunch menu we ordered: -Chicken Fried Rice $6.49 -House Fried Rice $6.99 -Chicken Wings (hot sauce on the side) $6 -Mango Peach Green Tea Both of the fried rice were great. The portions are HUGE. Literally took home more than half of the plate, and left the place stuffed. The chicken wings were okay, maybe better if they were actually tossed but when I asked they said they only have one type of sauce, and I was scared it was too hot (it was, indeed), so I got it on the side. The bubble tea was great. Only thing is I ordered kiwi popping pearls, and got tapioca balls instead. Maybe she forgot? But I was okay with it either way. Overall, this is a nice place to have Chinese for lunch. Not fancy at all. Everyone was very friendly, and helpful, and the place was pretty clean as well.

We went for the dinner AYCE at $29.99 per person, and kids under 3 eat free. Our toddler (3) and baby, free of costs. But our toddler did have his own meal (chicken nuggies and fries...what a plus!) Keep in mind that some items are included in the per-person price, while others come with an additional charge. For example, the fried ice cream dessert was $1 per serving on top of the AYCE cost. Not a huge deal, but worth noting. Now, onto the revolving sushi belt experience. The bottom belt is full of pre-made sushi, circulating around, while the top belt carries the sushi you've specifically ordered via iPad. This is where a few concerns come in. Since the pre-made sushi is constantly circulating, you don't always know if someone has fiddled with it. As for the iPad ordering system, it was placed up above the top sushi belt, which was a bit of a nuisance. It would have been easier to use if it was within arm's reach, but again, not a major issue. We opted to order items that would take time to prepare and came directly to our table, so we could avoid the pre-made conveyor. The fried ice cream dessert was great, tasty--but the spoon they gave me was dirty and sticky. It honestly felt like it had been used by a kid before being handed to me. Needless to say, I didn't use it. Service was solid. Our server was helpful, especially since it was our first time, and walked us through the process. Overall, it was a decent experience, but there are a few things that could be improved, particularly with cleanliness and the setup of the revolving belts.

The hot bar options were limited and the quantity that is put out is obvious they don't expect many customers. The service was actually a lot better than we were expecting (none). The young man explained to us how we can order being a large group and after delivering our food made sure we had everything we needed. The place is not huge and service was pretty slow even with only two other small groups in attendance. But it wasn't horrible and you can tell they do try to be accommodating. Sushi quality was okay. No one ended up sick or anything. Oysters were actually pretty and crab legs were not skimpy. There is a limit on how many orders of crab clusters you can order per person but with everything else included you won't leave hungry. Honestly won't be going back or consider it because the competition is real and so much better out there. Unless you can eat your worth in oysters maybe go for that. Beef Shank Ramen Comes with 4 thick cuts of tender marinated beef shank in a rich bone broth. Flavorful and comforting, but I did notice a slightly sweet aftertaste, found it to be weird. BOGO Sushi Deal Rocky Shrimp was our favorite. The eel roll wasn't really for us. Chicken Hibachi Solid and the yum yum sauce was extra thick (which we loved). The quality and flavor is the same as the locations I have visited in Japan. In Japan, Kura is very touristy now and known for being the lower quality of all of the larger conveyor sushi restaurants, in comparison to Sushiro and the growing Hama Sushi. However, we only have Kura in the area, so I have to celebrate even having the option in Buford, GA. The main issue here is not the locations fault, the supply chain has been suffering, so many menu items are missing or sold out. Even when they have special promotions, some of those items that customers drive from miles away are missing. Also, depending on the time of day and who is working, food quality can be hit or miss. Not consistent. That is why I try to visit during hours when I think there would be a manager on duty, like weekends for lunch. What makes Kura special? 1. Vibe - the vibe, sounds, and experience is exactly the same as Japan. Except the prices are about 5x higher because we are in the US. 2. You can get half rolls, to try more and they are currently about $3.70/plate. Compared to a local restaurant that would charge about $14/roll = $7 half plate. 3. Gyudon and Beef udon - taste and flavor are same quality and delicious as Japan. 4. Seasonal promotions - This is something that Japan does well and the US does not, which is exciting promotions based on seasonal cusines with fresh ingredients in season. Not only is it great for marketing, but it is exciting to see what's new. There are some items here that are just not worth the money, like $4 cup of soda, or overpriced shrimp tempura.

If you're in the mood for fresh fish, you might want to steer clear of this place. It felt more like a seafood museum than a sushi restaurant. My husband, who's usually great at impulse shopping, was grabbing plates like a kid in a candy store--only to experience instant buyer's remorse each time! We somehow ended up spending $80, which I can only assume went toward supporting the fish's retirement fund. Then came the ramen experience, or should I say *disappointment*. The meat and egg were colder than my ex's heart, the noodles had the texture of overcooked rubber bands, and the broth looked like it had seen better days. Do yourself a favor and avoid this sushi carousel of regret. There are plenty of other places around that won't leave you questioning your life choices. I definitely should have!

I ordered the bao because it used to be the star of the show for me. I still remember the way they were fried on one side before, with that golden crisp that added texture and soul to every bite. This time the bao arrived soft and much smaller than I remembered. The flavor was fine, but the magic was missing. It felt like the memory of a painting that has faded over time. I do want to say that the staff were kind and welcoming. They suggested a hibachi special, which I was not interested in, but they made the attempt to guide my order. Their warmth was the best part of the visit. I left with a sense of nostalgia for what used to be. Maybe the menu has evolved or costs have changed, but the experience simply did not match the picture I carried with me. The restaurant is now dine-in only (no more hibachi tables), but the experience is still absolutely worth it. The ambiance was warm and cozy ; it honestly felt like walking into a family member's house for lunch, which made the experience even better. The servers were very sweet and attentive, checking in at the right moments and making us feel genuinely welcomed. One thing to note: parking is very limited. The lot is small and tight, so it can be a bit tricky, especially during busy hours. Now let's get into the food. The menu has so many options, from the sushi bar to kitchen meals, plus plenty of lunch specials. They even offer a build-your-own bento box, which is such a win. You can choose from about 9 selections ; 2 picks for $15 or 3 picks for $17. I created my own bento with white rice, chicken katsu, a sushi combo (salmon, crab, shrimp nigiri + 2-piece California roll), and fried shrimp & vegetable tempura. The lunch special also includes soup and salad. The miso soup was very salty; I'd rate that a 3/10. The salad was decent; the ginger dressing leaned more citrusy and very light on ginger, which made it different. I'd give that a 6.5/10. That said... the bento box itself was a solid 10/10. I got all of this for under $20, and every bite hit. I was starving, and this combo absolutely did the job; happy food dance included :) Great value, comforting atmosphere, kind service, and lots of options. I'll definitely be back to try more bento combinations whenever I'm in the area. Sushi Niko Niko is officially a lunch favorite again!
