    Spring Roll
    Nicole M.

We got there right as the place opened for dinner and were politely greeted. We were seated in a corner booth that was intimate and in a nice little spot for a date, but the table had chunks taken out of it. It was a bit off putting for me not to be able to look around too, but I'm sure if I'd asked they'd have moved us. The table being messed up wasn't a great impression, though. We were given ice water. We ordered the Spring Roll & Tom Kha bowl as appetizers. The spring rolls came in a set of 2 & were the same basic generic spring rolls you'd get at many other restaurants- they were quite good. The soup was tasty and made me feel warm & toasty inside. Masaman Curry is my favorite Thai dish and I try it everywhere I go to eat this kind of food. This one was a winner- the sauce was thicker than I've ever had it anywhere. This dish came with a first on the side for me (avocado) and the coconut milk base curry was sweet and mild with a hint of peanut flavor. In it was mixed potatoes, carrot and cashew nuts; I opted for tofu as well. My only regret is that I wish there had been more. It came with a heaping side of rice. We got the Spicy Basil mild, and the stir fry came our tasting of a grill, mixed with onions, basil leaves, bamboo and sautéed mixed vegetables. I didn't realize it wouldn't have any kind of sauce. I asked about it and they advised it comes dry. I hinted at wanting some sort of sauce on the side to my date but he said we have sauce at home and so this dish is waiting in the fridge to be doctored up and eaten (we were full after sharing the other things). There was Halloween candy at the front of the store. They charged a card fee, which I wish they'd told me about in advance. I didn't use the restroom there so I can't attest to that. The service was adequate and they were very nice, but nothing wowed me. The table being all chunked up was kind of yuck too. Either way I would definitely eat there again- there's not really any other options for Thai in Gainesville except one other spot with hours I never seem to make. Also the Masaman was really great. I spent a little over $40 which is decent. It was a truly okay experience.

I stopped for lunch while visiting Gainesville. Restaurant was not busy, so I was seated pretty quickly. My waiter was very nice and brought me an ice cold water almost immediately. Establishment was clean and conveniently located at the shopping center next to Kohls. Highly recommend. Ambiance: quiet Food: delicious Service: quick

The most delicious food and the kindest staff. I'm already craving it again! Will be back asap.

Found this place when I visited Ulta for my lunch break. I haven't had Thai in Gainesville and the reviews were pretty good so decided to give it a try. I placed an order to go. I ordered the spicy basil noodles with chicken. It's had broccoli, egg and bean sprouts. There are different heat levels for the spiciness. Let me tell you, my mouth was on fire! But in a good way. A lot of times, people can get the slickness but overlook the flavor. They captured both. If you don't want the heat, don't choose the spiciest! The chicken was a little in the dry side but a pretty good dish. I also got the cheese roll. I liked that a lot. It came with some dipping sauce which was also good. Wish I know it had peanuts in it before I tried it. Luckily I was some Benadryl on stand by. I was expecting a little more based on the reviews. My food was good but nothing spectacular. My order came out pretty quickly. I like Thai food so I'll give it another try.

Oh what to do for lunch. The wife and I saw this restaurant and decided to take a chance. We were pleasantly surprised. The lunch menu was reasonably priced. I had the chicken basil noodle. I give it a 9, pretty tasty and full of fresh ingredients including chicken, broccoli and noodles. I ordered it medium hot and it was hot enough for me. The wife had tofu vegetable soup. It was not full of salt, but loaded with vegans tofu. She gave it a 8. She also had the veggie spring rolls. She only gave it a 7 because it was lacking vegetables. It only had cabbage I would definitely return when in the area.

My review is likely going to sound similar to the others I read prior to coming in for dinner last night. The service was not good..not even ok really..however the food was top notch. The phone probably rang 100 times while we were here, they did not answer it once so I'm not sure why they didnt just unplug it. They stopped seating people around 7:40 for the night, turning customers away..and we sat at our table for 20 mins before our drink order was taken. But...if you can overlook the lack of customer service, I highly recommend the Spicy Basil noodle dish or the Pad Thai. The Thai Iced Tea was also delicious. The meal was reasonably priced. I'm not jumping for joy to come back in but I think the food is totally worth it.

Food is good but so disappointed that they aren't open on weekends!! I'm surprised they can stay open without tapping into weekend diners!

The door says weekday lunch 11-2 but they are closed at 12 on a Friday with no explanation. Does anyone know if their hours have changed from what is posted?

There website was recently changed to show Fridays closed. But as a reviewer noted it is hit or miss as to when open. A friend went there today and found it closed??

We were greeted by our friendly and attentive server 辛迪 (Cindy) and she immediately asked if we had any questions and took our drink order. After looking over the lunch menu we decided to start with pork pot stickers, an egg roll and a bowl of wonton soup - the pot sticker came with a wonderful garlic dipping sauce, the egg roll was filled with vegetables only, the wonton soup was very clear and came with two pork wontons these dishes were just okay.. We ordered Hunan Chicken and General Tao Chicken which were shown to be on the spicy side and both came with fried rice. We were a little disappointed with our entrées both were extremely bland and lacked flavor unfortunately and were mediocre at best. The service was outstanding and the prices were very reasonable but the food was disappointing. It's not a place I'd frequent if I was a local...

This family-run spot in downtown Flowery Branch brings real Laotian heat with zero fluff--owners are welcoming legends who make you feel right at home. Crispy, fresh, and gone in seconds--couldn't stop dipping. Steak naab (their Lao-style minced beef laap) was next-level: tender steak tossed with lime, fish sauce, fresh mint, cilantro, scallions, and that bold, zesty Lao kick. Spicy, herbaceous, insanely fresh--generous portions that pack serious flavor punch. Drunken noodles were straight fire: wide rice noodles wok-tossed with loads of Thai basil, bok choy, bean sprouts, green onions--sweet-savory, garlicky, with just enough heat to keep it exciting. Not a dry noodle in sight; every bite bursts with life. What sealed the deal? Trying their different sauces--house-made gems like the peanut dipping sauce for the rolls, plus the array of condiments and chili/fish sauce mixes that come with dishes. Not all heroes wear capes. Technically, this was my second visit. The first time, I wanted to write a review... but I tragically spilled our entire order in the car on the way home. Everything was great. Crispy rolls not pictured. This is the best drunken noodle with beef I have had in twenty years. Honestly I had given up ordering it because of prior disappointment. The beef was perfectly tender and a generous portion. The wings!! I have tried these wings wherever I can find them. These were perfectly crispy with a great carmelized fish sauce glaze. It was simple. Nothing fancy but perfectly done. Try them. Umami bomb! Not too fishy. Just flavor. Sweet, salty, crispy and juicy. The fresh spring roll was great too. I don't like when they are overstuffed with lettuce to make them look bigger. There was plenty of pork, vermicelli, cucumber and coriander (cilantro). Again, flavorful bites with the peanut sauce to round it out. The only thing I am upset about is I just found this place and it is just down the road from me.. so excited! The family that runs it is kinda and attentive. They have Chinese, Thai and added Vietnamese during covid when they took over. Everything is made with care.
