Had a pickup order. Customer service during pick up was great, even going over my special requests to ensure they were met. Food was yummy!

Delicious food great service always very clean and accommodating my only complaint is it's quite expensive for the portion size

I got pick up from this place when in town thinking it was another restaurant I'd seen with great reviews lol. The prices were higher than I was expecting but it was definitely a lot of food. It's also a nice looking sit down restaurant and there were a lot of people dining in so this may contribute to the price point. I got the General Zou's (Tso's) chicken (comes with large container of steamed rice) and egg rolls for $15-16. It took about 10 minutes to make. It was good but not great and definitely not spicy even after opening up the peppers. I'd probably try another spot if I was in town again. Plenty of parking and in the publix/Marshall's plaza but on the far side. read more

Menu items listed with ingredients should not be jammed full of ingredients that flavor the dish (green peppers in particular) that are not mentioned in the item's description, Yu Hsiang Pork for one, Hot Braised Chicken for another. We have been loyal customers of Oriental Garden 2 for over 6 years. We have never had a problem with the food. We ordered Mu shu Shrimp. My husband and son had food poisoning, This was the only meal my son ate for the whole day, this food was the issue. I called to get a refund and was told that the manager would not refund it unless we had a doctors excuse. I feel that I should not pay $35.00 x 2 for urgent care co-pay for food that was obviously the problem. BEWARE of this restaurant. read more

Just like every other Chinese place we've tried, the food is very sub par. I've never in my life had Kung Pao chicken in fish sauce. It's a horrible combination. They say they don't have fish sauce but this chicken is straight fish. I had multiple people smell this chicken without saying a word. Every person said the same thing. I had to throw the order away. Secondly, the low mein is tasteless and disappointing. I would not go back there again. I wish their was one Chinese place that actually cared about the food quality. If I could give less than one star I would. I realized while eating my order from oriental garden that there was an entire acrylic fingernail in my order! Yum! Then upon calling the manager, he denied that it was even in my food, and stated that they only had male staff. No offer of a refund for our $70 order, we were just told to call Uber eats to try to get a refund. Totally unacceptable and disgusting. If you value your health please DO NOT EAT HERE read more

What a horrible place. The food is greasy and overpriced for what you get. The person in charge the day we went in should be cleaning toilets at Walmart, not interacting with the public. We questioned an added on charge we had on our check. Instead of explaining the charge that should not have been there, she opened her mouth and very loudly said she did not see a problem. We told her we did not order that item, but instead of investigating the problem, she would not budge on the overcharge. We paid the bill leaving no tip and then decided to charged back the entire bill. I wish I could give it no stars. read more

I ordered via DoorDash to my hotel after a long day. I was craving Chinese and this happened to be the only place still taking orders. I said why not and I am so happy I did! I got the general Tsos with fried rice and there was soooo much food! It was so hot and fresh tasting! No complaints from me. When it comes to Chinese food, it is typically a hit or miss for me. Either the food is good or the food is not so great. This evening we found a great Chinese restaurant. The service was great and the food certainly could not be beat. The portions were large, so much that we had to ask for a to go box. Two meals, two drinks and a shared appetizer, we paid less then $30.00, before tip. Everyone has their own opinion when it comes to Chinese food, or any other kind of food and their favorite restaurant. For us, Oriental Garden 2 is now added to our favorite restaurants to dine. Ok, I admit it. I eat here for reasons of nostalgia, more than anything else. My wife and I used to have our names on the wall, framed in hearts. A romantic gesture from the previous manager, who also taught me how to make Jong Bond House Noodle Soup at home. In my memory, the portions used to be both bigger and cheaper. If you ordered a dish as extra hot, it came out with spices in the thermonuclear range. Now all is less ... not bad ... but less. Even the fortune cookies seem to be thinner ... and the new fortunes ... not so good: "tomorrow your day might not suck". Great. Something to look forward to. Ok, so if you don't remember the "before", the food's decent. But I do have to say that I was bugged, quite literally by three flies. They kept dive bombing our heads. The manager and waitresses couldn't have missed it ... they even had an Ecolab fly zapper on the wall ... but it was off! Heck! Pass me a fly swatter, or even a folded newspaper! But no. So, dinner was distracting, with hands waving all over the place, throughout the meal. We looked like we had a palsy. Why didn't I give this place a lower rating? Very disappointed. I did not get the right entree and the waiter argued with me. I showed him the menu and he still argued. I tried to eat what he brought but hated it. My husband intervened ( how insulting that he had to speak for me) and finally I got a different meal. It was sort of what I ordered but not really. I will not go back. I've never been here before today. They've been open 6 years according to the gentleman who seated my family. Oriental Garden is located in a strip center in the Marshals, Publix, Old Navy store area in Gainesville sort of near the Hollywood Theaters. The first thing I noticed was the warm and friendly service. The menu was typical. I did notice that almost every table was taken for a Sunday lunch. My wife had the Wanton Soup as a lunch. Packed with chicken and dumplings. Very good and home made as a learned when checking out. I had the chicken lo-main (spelling?) Very good. We all enjoyed our meals, friendly and good service. Our lunch bill was $19 for 3 folks. I'm giving it 4 stars based on service and taste and value. We will be back. read more

Our second time to this restaurant and we were not disappointed. Having left one restaurant without even being spoken to, we decided to fall back on Oriental Garden. The food here is excellent but what was more important was the attentive waitress. She was very helpful and even offered to modify a menu item just for our liking. So, I felt like this place needed another review since changing hands last summer. In the beginning, it did suffer a bit while they got things under control I think - but now it's 99% as delicious as ever. The servers are nice enough, but they seem unsure about talking to you. They almost seem a little uneasy at times. We miss the people who used to run it for that reason I guess, but the food now is back to normal - very yummy. Had to change my rating from 4 stars to 1. The wife is in the ER with a reaction to shell fish after eating their (sweet and sour chicken, egg roll, white rice). We have asked the owner in the past if they prepared shell fish separately and we're told they do. I guess last night was an exception.
