Have been looking for some good Chinese fare since moving to N Ga and finally tried Sunflower. It was the best meal of this type I've had in these parts. Moved into the area hoping for good Chinese and this isn't one of them. Fried rice was super salty in some parts and other parts were white clumps of rice that hadn't been mixed properly. We ordered general tso, sesame chicken and chicken with broccoli. Everything was bland and lifeless. The egg drop soup was even bland. Sunday 11 am, open the door and have NO FOOD ready or on the buffet. Everyone rushes in and heads for the buffet and then like me goes back to their seat. SO! When a few things come out everyone takes it just to have something to eat. What a debacle, Only chinese in town and must feel like they can do very little to nothing and it is okay??? Finally got enough items out to eat lunch, I go to check out and (apparently) the owner/manager says $18.50 please... Um don't you have to post that, he pulls a plastic sign out from behind a plant and says there it is.. Once again, what a debacle. You can get over on me once but never again! The food I did eat was ok, I have had better but not too high expectations at a Sunday buffet in a small tourist town. Sunflower used to have a buffet that is sorely missed. That was their sweet spot. Is this the best Chinese food you'll ever have? Probably not. But it's dependable, consistent, and good enough for the price. The service is friendly but not always *right there*. We go to Sunflower because the grandkids love the lo mein and egg drop soup. It's a kid friendly place in a tourist/tourist adjacent town where there's never a wait and always plenty of parking. I have never been without seeing someone I know. I was pleasantly surprised at how fresh the food was. The breaded chicken dishes were like fried little pillows, the Rangoon is a hot creamy middle with crispy edges, and we received complimentary donuts (that tasted fresh not greasy). We ordered sesame chicken, walnut chicken, sweet and sour chicken, sweet and sour pork, beef and broccoli and chicken sticks with a side of broccoli. They reminded me of homemade Chinese food where everything was saucy and delicious. I couldn't have been happier to stumble upon their restaurant. Horrible experience!!!! Fried rice was white rice with no flavor. Shrimp Lomein with rotten shrimp, uneatable! We did not cause a scene we just politely got our check and went to pay. At the register the owner asked us if our meal was good and we shared our concerns we were asked to never return! Im appalled and would never return after being so rudely treated! The food was absolutely awful. And the waitress charged us for things we didn't even get. The cups were dirty there was stuff floating in my drink. When I told the waitress she said that the owner wouldn't buy new cups. She also kept leaning over my newborn an every time I would move him she would go to that side of the table with him. Fantastic Chinese food. Best by far in this region of Ga. My wife and I have been there 4 times and never disappointed. Our favorite is the "complete family dinner " for 2. The quality and amount of food was impressive. Plus , each waitress was upbeat, polite and attentive. If I could give negative stars, it would be right now, at this restaurant. I have never EVER seen such outrageous and what appeared to be deliberate behavior as what just took place about an hour ago. My husband and I stopped by for lunch and were told where to sit. We were greeted by our "older american" waitress who brought our chips and menu to the table. WITHOUT trying to excuse herself, turn around etc. she deliberately coughed right on my husband, the menus, all over our chips and the table then said "I'm sorry, I'm coming down with a cold." Are you kidding me? In this time of the pandemic, we are trying to give our business to local establishments and tip the servers well for good service. But this is what we get? I was beyond livid. I don't know if she tried calling out and they wouldn't let her, but it appeared she was doing it intentionally. I tell you, I almost got up and lost my temper and made a scene but that would be wrong. She wasn't wearing a mask, anything. My husband and I got up, told the manager that if his employee is showing signs of illness, they have no business allowing them to work especially in the food industry during this time. He just looked at us blankly. This really makes me wonder how clean this place really is where we DON'T see. I'm appauled and will never go back. Proceed with caution folks. read more

Watch pricing. There menus state lunch specials, but don't tell you they are only Monday - Friday. I even called to see if the specials were available on Sunday and she said yes. Went to the register and found out not special pricing on weekends! Change your menu. Put a sticker on it stating no special lunch menu on weekends. The staff is friendly, service is always prompt. We had eaten the lunch buffet a few times and it was hot and fresh. Interesting variety of foods and we really enjoyed it. We went one evening for dinner, there was no buffet, which is ok, you know buffet means Bunch Us Fat Friends Eating Together... I ordered shrimp and veggies. The shrimp were slightly underdone, and the sauce was flavorless. Betsy and Clark weren't thrilled with their entrees either. We vacationed in a cabin in Cleveland and we were craving Chinese food. I found this restaurant and I'm so glad I did. The beef fried rice was awesome. My nephew enjoyed the sweet and sour chicken and I was pleased to see they had black pepper chicken. I walked in and ordered take out. I dont know what they put on the shrimp on lunch buffet but it is the best creamy sauce ever and if u go during lunch time between 1130am and 1pm the food is fresh and great. Staff are always friendly and it $7 for buffet and drink cant bet it any wheres for great food and good price. read more
