The coleslaw appeared pre-packaged and was quite watery, and the onion rings seemed mass-produced rather than freshly battered. The chicken itself could have used more seasoning and a more substantial portion. Even a slightly upgraded bun would have helped. I'm giving this two stars instead of three because while the service was outstanding and the pricing is attractive, this is a restaurant first and foremost, and the food quality and portions didn't meet expectations. The FRIED CATFISH & SHRIMP PLATTER #1 includes two perfectly golden flaky fillets, six shrimp, fries, hush puppies and coleslaw. Excellent flavor in the breading of the catfish & shrimp, however, the coleslaw and hush puppies were just average, and the fries can be hit or miss.
