I always try to give a restaurant at least twice before leaving a less than stellar review. Well now I've tried them a couple of times and I'm still not impressed. The food is okay, not great. The service a bit of a mess, the ambiance is okay. Our table ordered Drunken Noodle which was good, red curry and green curry. We also had a coconut soup and an order of baby egg rolls. My favorite part of the meal was the baby egg rolls and that's kinda sad. My companions ordered Thai teas and I got sweet tea which my tea was fine. Hubby's drunken noodle was actually pretty good. My green curry (with tofu) was fine but the rice was mushy. We also got a mango sticky rice for dessert but it seemed the rice was leftover from yesterday maybe. I wish I had better remarks but again, this is not my first visit and I had similar complaints the first time. As far as service, the servers were nice enough and I think for the volume of patrons they were doing okay but it still was a bit of a mess. They were doubling the work trying to cover all tables when maybe they should've had separate sections. I think that would've quelled some of the overlap like both servers working to refill my tea and by the time one had, the other was coming with the pitcher. This next part is the fault of the kitchen. I watched table after table get served their dishes scattered, where one person would get theirs while the others at the table were waiting for theirs to come. Some would wait for the others to be served but some would go ahead and start eating ahead of their party. This happened the last time I was there as well. That needs to be tightened up. Personally, I wouldn't go back. The experience was a bit of a drag. We regretted ordering dessert as it took so long to come and we were antsy to get out of there by the time it came. We had never had Thai food before, my husband and myself came here for his job from East Tennessee. We really wanted to try it, but had no clue what to order. No worries, the Staff at Thai Spice were very helpful in recommending dishes that we might enjoy. We absolutely loved the food. When my son visited I was sure he would not want to eat there, he is so picky, but he loved it! Now when he visits he wants to know when we are going to eat there again! If I am feeling ill I get the Tom Kai Soup, I may not spelling it correctly but not sure, I always feel better, the ginger, mushrooms, you can have meat added or not, this goes for most all of the dishes. If you're a pro at Thai Food, or a novice like we still are, just ask! Everything I have had is great! You can't go wrong. read more

The food here is delicious. Minus one star for spotty service in dining room. Slow delivery of food, and sometimes forgotten orders. Everyone is friendly but I think they are always understaffed for the demand. Seem to always have people waiting for to-go orders as well. The wait is worth it though. read more

Food was okay nothing special and the lunch cucumber and egg roll are very small and barely there. The shrimp dish had 4 shrimp. By the time I paid for meal, tax and tip for one person it was almost $20. To me not quite worth the price tag. If I'm ever in the area maybe I'll try dinner see if it's better. We have eaten here a few times now. Both eat in and take out. Haven't had a bad meal yet. Service is always friendly. The restaurant is clean. I've gotten Pad See Ewe every time. I also shared Pad Thai with my daughter. I've tried my husband's Panang Curry. The calamari was excellent!! I've always had a good experience here, the food is excellent, and they know me by name after the years I've eaten there. This little Thai place dishes out amazingly flavourful food. Avoid the lunch rush if you aren't confined to the lunch hour. There's a hospital across the street and this little restaurant gets filled up fast. Lunch specials come with a side of bite size spring roll, the kinda wrap I like which is thin (not egg roll skin). I had lunch here today for the first time. They are still take out only. I don't have enough experience with Thai food to have much to compare it to, but my lunch was delicious. I had the spicy basil noodles with chicken and the fresh rolls. They didn't ask if I wanted mild, medium or hot for my noodles like I expected. They were delicious but I'm assuming I got mild and will request medium or hot next time. They were full of flavor and the veggies mixed in were very fresh. The fresh rolls, or shrimp summer rolls didn't hold together very well and were a little bland but the sauces served with it made up for that. My favorite was the red spicy chili sauce and there was also a dark, sweet sauce option that I assume was soy sauce based. I cannot wait to try more off of their menu! read more

I've eaten at a lot of Thai restaurants in the upstate. This is by far the best one! Pad Thai was perfect: not too spicy, not too salty, and not all vinegary like some places. Duck salad amazing... good flavor and quite tasty! Pineapple fried rice was another wonderful dish... just the right amount of spices, ingredients, large portion! This place has turned dinner into a spectator sport. Let me set the stage - 6 tables in the dining room, all seated. Everyone has ordered. One dish at a time comes out and then everyone in the place watches that person eat. Only when that dish is done does the next dish come out. It's excruciating. The food is really good, but then you wait forever for the next dish. Maybe they can give all the patrons scorecards and as each person finishes their dish the crowd can score their performance.
