I always try to give a restaurant at least twice before leaving a less than stellar review. Well now I've tried them a couple of times and I'm still not impressed. The food is okay, not great. The service a bit of a mess, the ambiance is okay. Our table ordered Drunken Noodle which was good, red curry and green curry. We also had a coconut soup and an order of baby egg rolls. My favorite part of the meal was the baby egg rolls and that's kinda sad. My companions ordered Thai teas and I got sweet tea which my tea was fine. Hubby's drunken noodle was actually pretty good. My green curry (with tofu) was fine but the rice was mushy. We also got a mango sticky rice for dessert but it seemed the rice was leftover from yesterday maybe. I wish I had better remarks but again, this is not my first visit and I had similar complaints the first time. As far as service, the servers were nice enough and I think for the volume of patrons they were doing okay but it still was a bit of a mess. They were doubling the work trying to cover all tables when maybe they should've had separate sections. I think that would've quelled some of the overlap like both servers working to refill my tea and by the time one had, the other was coming with the pitcher. This next part is the fault of the kitchen. I watched table after table get served their dishes scattered, where one person would get theirs while the others at the table were waiting for theirs to come. Some would wait for the others to be served but some would go ahead and start eating ahead of their party. This happened the last time I was there as well. That needs to be tightened up. Personally, I wouldn't go back. The experience was a bit of a drag. We regretted ordering dessert as it took so long to come and we were antsy to get out of there by the time it came. We had never had Thai food before, my husband and myself came here for his job from East Tennessee. We really wanted to try it, but had no clue what to order. No worries, the Staff at Thai Spice were very helpful in recommending dishes that we might enjoy. We absolutely loved the food. When my son visited I was sure he would not want to eat there, he is so picky, but he loved it! Now when he visits he wants to know when we are going to eat there again! If I am feeling ill I get the Tom Kai Soup, I may not spelling it correctly but not sure, I always feel better, the ginger, mushrooms, you can have meat added or not, this goes for most all of the dishes. If you're a pro at Thai Food, or a novice like we still are, just ask! Everything I have had is great! You can't go wrong. read more

Everyone is friendly but I think they are always understaffed for the demand. Seem to always have people waiting for to-go orders as well. The wait is worth it though. read more

We have eaten here a few times now. Both eat in and take out. Haven't had a bad meal yet. Service is always friendly. The restaurant is clean. I've gotten Pad See Ewe every time. I also shared Pad Thai with my daughter. I've tried my husband's Panang Curry. The calamari was excellent!! The crab Rangoon wasn't my favorite I've ever tried but it was just prepared in a different way that I didn't care for personally. We will definitely be back! read more

Food was okay nothing special and the lunch cucumber and egg roll are very small and barely there. The shrimp dish had 4 shrimp. By the time I paid for meal, tax and tip for one person it was almost $20. To me not quite worth the price tag. If I'm ever in the area maybe I'll try dinner see if it's better. I had lunch here today for the first time. They are still take out only. I don't have enough experience with Thai food to have much to compare it to, but my lunch was delicious. I had the spicy basil noodles with chicken and the fresh rolls. They didn't ask if I wanted mild, medium or hot for my noodles like I expected. They were delicious but I'm assuming I got mild and will request medium or hot next time. They were full of flavor and the veggies mixed in were very fresh. The fresh rolls, or shrimp summer rolls didn't hold together very well and were a little bland but the sauces served with it made up for that. My favorite was the red spicy chili sauce and there was also a dark, sweet sauce option that I assume was soy sauce based. I cannot wait to try more off of their menu! read more

I've eaten at a lot of Thai restaurants in the upstate. This is by far the best one! Pad Thai was perfect: not too spicy, not too salty, and not all vinegary like some places. Duck salad amazing... good flavor and quite tasty! Pineapple fried rice was another wonderful dish... just the right amount of spices, ingredients, large portion! This place has turned dinner into a spectator sport. Let me set the stage - 6 tables in the dining room, all seated. Everyone has ordered. One dish at a time comes out and then everyone in the place watches that person eat. Only when that dish is done does the next dish come out. It's excruciating. The food is really good, but then you wait forever for the next dish. Maybe they can give all the patrons scorecards and as each person finishes their dish the crowd can score their performance. Drove from Greenville to try for lunch. Glad I did. Pulled up to a not pretentious restaurant. Once I entered I was greeted and treated nicely. I really wanted to like this place but it was kind of a flop. Going in, I already knew this was a very casual place. It overlooks a parking lot so you don't exactly go there for the ambiance. The walls are orange which I think is common for Thai restaurants. Most people coming in are in jeans or even sweats. But all those things aside, our experience was still sub par. What they did well: - seated us fairly quickly - took orders for drinks fairly quick - appetizers came out pretty quick - steamed dumplings appetizer with dip was delicious (but not warm enough!) - most entrees are $10 so decent price - thai tea always makes my day (it was a tad too sweet though) - when they realized they forgot a dish at checkout, they tried to make it right by removing that one dish plus the 2 appetizers off the bill. Where they messed up/ room for improvement: - spring roll appetizer had a bit too much shell and the ends tasted burnt - forgot the meal for my counterpart!!! (Big mess up) - they did not come to check on us throughout the meal to see if everything was alright - My pad Thai was so so. The chicken was good but the noodles were too hard (needed to be cooked longer) and the taste was off/ not as savory as I'm used to. Overall, I might chalk it up to a crazy Friday. Just a bad day. It was a full moon after all! But from our experience, our takeaway was it's an ok place to go if you're wanting Thai food or a casual place to chill but the service was spotty and the food was just mediocre. The price was decent for dinner meals. If the restaurant reads this, my advice would be to: 1- have one employee designated to being the hostess (seating, doing drink refills, and dealing with takeout orders and phone calls) 2- the waitresses should be sure to check on their guests right after the drinks, appetizers and main dishes come out to make sure everything is ok/ people are happy or if they need anything. 3- cook needs to make sure food is thoroughly cooked through but not burnt. Maybe you need an extra cook. (Takeout line was long and dishes came out mildly under cooked or mildly over cooked/ burnt) 4- maybe have a suggestion box for patrons to give input. I believe there are plenty of things that could be improved but also people tend to look back on an experience more positively after they've fully reflected and/ or vented a little.
