Food 1 Service 1 Ambiance 1 My husband and I stopped by Zen Ramen and Bento restaurant as we were finishing up antiquing for the day. My husband and I are both fans of Ramen. I ordered the pork Ramen and my husband ordered the beef for bulgogi Ramen. Unfortunately, both of our dishes were bland. There was very little spice and flavor in the broth, which made the dish not so good! However, the fries pork Gyoza was delicious. The food here isn't horrible. It's just not some of the best that I've ever had.

We ate here on a Thursday night and had the server's undivided attention. We all really enjoyed our meals. My son got the Chicken Katsu Bento Box and the chicken was amazing. He didn't care for the Corn and Edamame Salad, but my wife and I thought it was delicious. I had the Black Tonkatsu Ramen and the broth was nice and flavorful, and the toppings were all top notch. I also had a side of Kimchi and it was slightly spicy with just the right amount of sour. The best dish any of us ordered was my wife's Butter Shoyu ramen with Beef Bulgogi. The sauce was amazing with a great blend of brown butter and soy sauce. If we ever come back to Dahlonega, I know what I'll order!

The food was great. The waitstaff couldn't have been nicer. We sat outside and they were very attentive . Worth a try !

Honestly had high hopes to try something new and when I went to this place I loved the decor and it was right near the square. The ramen was just way off. Usually I get ramen closer to Atlanta but this one lacked so much in the broth as well as the noodles didn't taste fresh. They were also cut to big and the meat was "seasoned" however it's just boiled in the same broth it feels like because it was dry and left a horrible taste. The appetizer chicken we got was good but the ramen was extremely poor. The staff was great and nice though.

The food was good. I got the bulgolgi beef ramen. It wasn't the best ramen I've experienced, but it was decent. The beef was not as tender/didn't have that bulgolgi flavor I was looking for but the broth was yummy. The fried potstickers and egg rolls were really great. I did try my friend's bento box with the shrimp and it was fantastic! Would probably get that next time. Service was fast and the place itself was cozy and inviting!

The staff is incredibly friendly, welcoming, and genuinely happy to explain the menu and make recommendations, which makes the experience even better. I ordered the Cha-shu Japanese Bun and the Cha-shu Ramen, and wow--both were outstanding. You can truly taste that everything is homemade, just like my adopted grandma made this at home with love, patience, and tradition. The cha-shu pork was perfectly tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The bun was soft, fresh, and paired beautifully with the rich, savory pork. The ramen itself was next level. The broth was deep, rich, and comforting, clearly simmered with care and attention. The noodles had the perfect texture, and adding all the toppings just took it over the top--each ingredient felt thoughtfully prepared and balanced. This is the kind of place where you can tell the food is made with passion, not shortcuts. Amazing food, great portions, welcoming atmosphere, and top-tier service. If you're looking for authentic, comforting, and delicious ramen, Ramen Spot is a must-visit. I'll definitely be coming back again and again!

Just not a fancy place if that is what you're looking for. We don't care as long as the food is good. There lots lots of selections, the service was fine, the place felt like it needed to be cleaned... or just get new stuff... but the food was good. Maybe not as good as our fave spot but we liked it. Ramen needs to be flavorful.. it is basically noodles and broth so the additions count, the flavor is a must, and the cook on the noodle has to be just right. They deliver... it was good.

So, I can only vouch for my experience eating Japanese food to state that the tsukemen at Okiboru is just like what I have eaten in Japan, specifically the Kansai region. Being that I prefer tsukemen over ramen, dipping sauce over soup, over the years, I have definitely eaten my fair share of this type of noodle. The broth is a thick gravy that is meaty and dashi-rich at the same time. Not too salty, although slightly bitter at times. What really stands out at Okiboru is their thick and toothsome tsukemen noodles. The texture of these noodles alone keeps me returning. QR code menu and friendly service. Bar style atmosphere at this location. So nice to have an authentic tsukemen shop at the mall. I like to stop by before seeing a movie.

The Spicy Shrimp broth had that perfect kick without completely torching your face (I got it "medium" spicy and it was spot-on). Tons of plump shrimp, soft-boiled egg cooked perfectly, and the noodles had great texture. My partner stole half my bowl, so that tells you everything. The Rock and Roll roll was a total highlight--crispy shrimp tempura, avocado, spicy mayo, and that sweet eel sauce drizzle on top... it's basically disappeared in 60 seconds. Super fresh fish, generous portions, and the rice was seasoned just right. Service was quick and friendly, the place is clean, and the vibe is chill but not sleepy.
