Very upset that my Oranda goldfish past away just 8 days after purchase. I paid 34.99 plus tax. Not really the point. I asked the worker if the fish had ich the worker said no. I noticed he had some white on his fins .Igot him he was the only one they had left he was beautiful. I put him in my 55 gallon tank with two other gold fish now he has passed away and my other fish are sick. When I called to see what they could do refund me or get another fish they told me no . That there fish are never sold with ich it had to be my tank. I've had my tank for over two years and never had a problem. I'm upset that they could care less. I've talked to people at work that have had smiler problems. Please if you do buy fish from this pet smart pay better attention than I did. Will not be returning to this store. read more

We adopted our second cat (Feline Catstro) here with New Beginnings Cat Rescue. Since then, we've been getting food and litter, etc here. Just the other day, we arrived right at closing time and there were people milling around inside. I walked up to the door and the "sales associate" said, "Sorry, we're closing the registers right now." which really means, "We don't want you in the store because we want to get out of here." I said, "I knew exactly want I need." and she just shrugged and gave me the "I'm sorry." look. I know they want to get out of there. I guess I can't really blame them. *sigh* Just kinda sucks that our cats had to go without litter for another day. It sucked mostly for me. read more

I have taken my petite goldendoodle to these people three times now. They did a decent job when he was a puppy, but the last two times I've taken him they've shaved him so short you can see his skin. He looks like a rat dog. I've typed up specific instructions each time I've taken him and they've ignored everything I've asked for. I've even sent pictures for reference and he looks NOTHING like the pictures I've sent. They seem to have ZERO training in how to properly groom certain breeds. Shame on me for not learning my lesson. They will absolutely NEVER get my business again. I'm extremely furious at how my dog looks. He looks more like a rat than a goldendoodle. I could have done a better job myself with my husbands clippers. read more

We use this location for grooming as well as vet services. On our most recent trip, we brought our newest puppy in to pick out a toy to hopefully cease his chewing on all things non-toy such as chair legs and my house shoes. I found that when I was in mid-search for something, there wasn't anyone around to help yet when we were just browsing, the same woman kept coming up and giving our dog treats and offering advice about what food to buy, what treats to buy, how to switch his food from one kind to another. She was nice enough but we simply weren't asking for any advice. We wanted to get the puppy a medium Kong toy with the biscuit-type inserts. For some reason, the medium size is the only one that had zero inserts. We went with a small to see if he will even use it as a puppy. We can get a large if he outgrows it and it's still useful. read more

There is a viral picture on Facebook of a poor, sweet, innocent dog with both eyes BLOODSHOT red. The owner took her dog to the vet after picking him up with his eyes like this and the cause was STRANGULATION. I do not have any pets but if I did I would 100% look at yelp reviews to make sure my dog was in the best hands, & It would definitely would not be this place! I had to make sure to come write something so that no one makes the mistake of taking their pet here. Absolutely terrible. read more

Dr. Chitwood is amazing! She is a caring woman, a great vet and I can't think of anyone else I'd rather take my doggies to. read more

They did a GREAT job with our Yellow Lab's bath, nail clip, ear clean, etc. They were friendly, helpful and seemed to really enjoy grooming pampered fur babies. We will return! read more

Nearly half of the fish were dead. Now don't get me wrong, because I understand fish die in pet stores and I'm always ready for thst, but they had a very. Small number of fish in each tank, and just as many dead as alive. The shelves were very poorly stocked, they had a pacman frog in a small travel cage inside a tank with a tortoise, when these kinds of frogs need humidity and it was in a tank with a desert tortoise. Also, from my observation, there was a dead albino ball python. It did not appear to be breathing after a good minute of observation and its eye was concave and against the tank glass. Finally, no staff on the sales floor. It is very rare that I post a poor review even after a bad experience, but these are lives that are being threatened and I'm pretty upset with what I saw. read more

I took my little Miniature Schnauzer Jax to Gregg and he came out looking very well groomed and beautiful. Gregg is friendly and obviously he is an excellent groomer. Jax even let him brush his teeth! We will be back! read more

I made a reservation to their grooming salon on a Monday at 1pm, i later became busy and called them to see if i can go at 1:30, i ended up going around 1:45 and they took my dog in. the gentlemen at the counter was super sweet and explained to me the packages they have for dogs, i got a top dog package which included a bath with flea shampoo, and nail trim. i told them my dog has never been groomed before so i had no clue as to how she would react. he made it very smooth for everyone and reassured me they would take care of her i left her their for about 2 hours and when i picked her up she was a shining new pup! they even sent me a pic of her to my email. i loved the whole experience overall. my dog did not seem scarred or afraid after the service, she loved it! i am definitely going to get her groomed again read more

I have sent my dog here to be groomed for the last time. They have told me several times 3-4 hours and keep her about 6. This and they didn't even bathe her. I have no idea why it takes 6 hours to groom a dog especially when you skip the bath- which I paid for. read more

First two times I went here were fine. The last time, they cut my dogs toe and blamed me. The lady is a B who's been there for 15 years and grouchy .... Thumbs down read more

I took my Shih Tzu in for a bath and cut and Emily did the most amazing job! Normally he is stressed out after being groomed and I let her know he doesn't like scissors around his face, but she took the extra time to figure out it was the swoosh sound of the scissors he was afraid of so she went slow in order to not make that sound. I'll be returning as long as she is with them! read more

My disappointment is with the grooming department. The manager they called over from the store side was helpful. We took our shepard mix in to be bathed and have her nails clipped. Because she sheds so much, I was looking into the "furminator." She had it once before and it seemed to help. I, looking at the pricing menu, asked how much a bath is for her size. They told me 30.99. I asked to add the furminator. They told me it would be 74 dollars. On the menu, it stated that if you purchase a bath or groom, the furminator is an additional 3-5 dollars. When I asked, they kept saying it was a premium service. No where on this menu was there a premium option. Even the highest price bath with this 3-5 dollar addition would have been around $50. They kept saying "this is how we have to do it or we will lose our jobs." They called a manager who either agreed with me or at least understood whay I was reading and told them to charge $35. He also suggested they point this out to the grooming manager. When I picked our pup up, they charged me $35 but the explanation stated they used standard shampoo. Pretty annoyed with this location. I'll take my grooming needs elsewhere. I did still give 2 stars because our pup was clean, dry and her nails were taken care of. read more

I can't say enough how wonderful these guys are! We purchased some fish and an aquarium decoration for my toddler for Christmas. After only a few weeks we realized a defect in the decoration piece was causing the paint to bubble and peel, and had poisoned all our fish. We brought the piece back to the store. We weren't even sure they could help us because we had tossed all our receipts. They immediately offered to replace the decor piece and after I explained about the beautiful beta fish we'd lost because of the paint flakes, they replaced him, too. We are so grateful to the ladies who helped us out. Our little boy loved to watch those "fishies" and couldn't wait to feed them every day- thanks for making sure he had his "fish friend"! You guys are awesome! read more

Hubs and I went in yest on my lunch hr to pick up a "list" of things we needed - I think he was the MGR, not sure - but he was so nice, he came up to us, asked if he could help and took us to all the specific places to pick up the items, they had everything we wanted, we were in and out with time to spare!!! Have used this location for several years now and will NEVER RETURN.. The grooming has significantly declined since Daryl left. I'm sick of them treating my dogs and myself like crap. No employee here looks happy to be working here anymore.. They all seem to be put out by your presence, even my favorite cashiers have been rude and dismissive lately. I have given them them benefit of the doubt because I know we all have bad days in retail as I myself work in retail but bad service has been pretty consistent and I'm sick of it. Go somewhere else. read more

I recently got a new pup and went to Petsmart to pick up our supplies. I was offered a $20 coupon booklet, one of the coupons was for a free visit at the Banfield Pet Hospital inside. This was great because my breeder required me to take my pet to a vet within 5 days of bringing him home for a check up and we could see how we liked this convenient vet. When I called to make the appointment the rep suggested I go ahead and take care of one of his shots even though it was a little early. I let him know about my coupon and asked about the cost. He said I would only be paying about $35. Once I saw the vet she told me they were going to do 2 shot and take his temperature. Then she gave me a pamphlet on a wellness plan that I could pay monthly for that would include all the required shots and office visits for my pup. Most, almost all of our discussion was about the wellness plan then before we could talk about my pup she gave him his shots and told me I needed to watch him for the next 24 hours for any reactions he may have to the shots. I let her know I was going to work after the appointment and that no one informed me or I would have made other arrangements. She let me know he could stay there for another $19. At that point I had no other choice since everything was done with out asking or informing me of the important details. When I checked out my bill was $104! I was more than surprised by this since the only pricing discussed was the $35 shot and $19 stay. The rest of staff was very friendly and very sweet to my pup. read more

Jennifer was great yesterday. This store sold out of the costume I liked for my dog so she called several stores and looked online for the right size. She put it on hold and we were able to drive to a nearby Petsmart to purchase it. Thank you for going the extra mile to help us out! read more

The service here stinks. I usually take my pups to the Mesquite location, so when I asked them if they could call the Mesquite location to verify their shot records, the lady sighed heavily, as if to say that that was too much work. They also seemed just generally bothered by us bringing our dogs there. I'm sorry, but isn't this your job? If they are already complaining about the job before they start it, I'm sure they would have done a terrible job. I decided to leave and not get their service. This is on the Garland location, not the Mesquite location. read more

Their grooming department. for many years was more than satisfactory. The folks they have there now not only LIED to me about the services they performed, but then insulted me. I also observed another woman being insulted in regards to a concern she had about the services. Very poor way to do business. I will never take my pup there again unless those people are no longer there. read more

Worst customer service. After scheduling my dog for a grooming appointment and confirming with the employee what i wanted done, they do something completely different and have the nerves to say i was wrong. I asked for a $40 package (me the owner of the dog) they decide to do a $65 and say thats what i scheduled him for. The problem isnt the money, the scam is the problem. These people were trying to SCAM me. read more

We have been visiting this grooming salon for several years and have always had great service. They are good with our cocker spaniel, and give us useful information regarding her care and grooming. We took our dog to the grooming area due to the place he normally goes had to cancel last minute for illness and it was the WORST experience. our dog loves to go to the groomers, when we walked in he was not excited at all and he is normally a very happy excited dog. He loves to have his hair blow dried and Petsmart groomers said he didn't. The girls that were in the grooming area were very rude. WILL NEVER TAKE MY DOG HERE AGAIN NOR WILL I RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE!!!! read more

in reference to KAI S I have not had a major problem with the grooming dept. but have had minor ones. I also have to state the staff is very unprofessional and seem to have a LARGE turn over. I love my dog as one of my children. I honestly will have to give great thought before i take my baby there again. I don't leave my baby with anyone except the Vet and to get him groomed (at petsmart). Now before i leave him there again i will have to really check the staff out which i normally do anyway. Humm KAI S experience is less then normal and very disturbing it requires much thought to leave my love one there again.. what happen to great customer service and THE customer is always right. This is very very sad. read more

Both the store and Banfield at this location are super. The grooming salon is not. The "manager" is abrupt and very rude. We took our dogs there, paid over $100 for grooming. When I made the appointment, I told them the dogs were cared for by the Banfield next door and I would have the shot records, etc., sent over. Banfield forgot and when I arrived, I was rudely told that they couldn't come in the salon without the records. It wouldn't have been a problem if the salon did as they said which was they would get the records. I now go to Pet Co. read more

Will no longer do any business with Petsmart. I would like to rate a zero star for my customer service experience with Petsmart. I have been a loyal customer regularly purchasing grooming services, pet food and supplies. Almost every visit to the groomer, I have been met with indifferent and unfriendly groomers who showed little to no concern for my dog's needs, and often returned him still dirty and wet/damp. One time they even shaved my dog's long hair when I had explicitly instructed them verbally and in writing NOT to shave him. On numerous occasions, I attempted to address my concerns and the staff responded with indifference-disregarding my needs or concerns regarding my dog. In the end, they actually told me they would no longer service my dog. Apparently, Petsmart has little appreciation or value for those who offer them their business--and lots of it. So...I will be taking my business elsewhere and you might want to also. read more
