Our dogs were in desperate need of a bath and we find ourselves in need of a larger area to do so. We are now owners of two dogs that can't be washed with a hose outside or in our tub so off to pet supplies for a bath. They have 4 showers that you can walk your dogs into, hook them in with a short leash and supply you with 4 types of shampoo, towels to dry them as well as hair driers. I would call ahead to check on how busy they are but we'll worth it and we will no longer be doing this chore at home any longer. Keep those pups clean and healthy. read more

This is a convenient, well stocked neighborhood pet store that would make me wag if I had a tail. They have everything I need at decent prices, and much of it is "Made in the USA". I come here mostly to load up on Zukes mini treats for training, treat balls and toys for mental stimulation, rawhide bones for teeth and gums, personalized ID tags, and grooming supplies. They even have a dog bathing area where you can wash your pup. Well behaved dogs on leash can be found wandering the aisles with their two-legged companions, but it's not just a dog house though, cat and fish supplies are on hand too. Staff are always available to help answer questions and show you where a product is located. They host several rescue groups throughout the year that show their animals to the public in hopes of finding a perfect fur-ever home. A veterinarian stops by on weekends to give vaccinations. This is my go-to store for pet supplies. Pet Supplies Plus is so wonderful, I just want to scratch them behind the ears, give them a belly rub and tell them, "Good dog!" but they'll have to settle for this drool-worthy review and repeat shopping visits instead. My wife went here with our dog a few days ago to get new food for him (26 lb fluffy white rascal) who had stopped eating after having a really bad GI incident. They recommended some dry food that my wife brought home along with a chew that was recommended by the man working there. He said it was right for our dog, who being terrier / corgi has a fairly small bite. When she came home she gave him the chew and he loved it. Several minutes later she heard him crying and went to look. The chew was stuck in his throat. He couldn't get it out. She was able to pull it out and he seemed OK, but hasn't been eating since. Even an expensive vet visit ($450) and numerous calls / texts with them yielded no improvement. Eventually I figured out his throat was abraded by the chew being wedged into his throat and pulled out. So we took our dog and the chew back to Pet Supplies Plus to get some pate dog food for him and return the chew. The woman behind the counter, who seems to think she is a rocker, said she was a manager and would not refund the money on the chew because they could not resell it. She said we should have monitored our dog closely with the new chew and that anyone should know that. It was recommended by a Pet Supplies Plus employee who mad no mention of monitoring its use, This manager could not have been less helpful This is no way to treat paying customers who are there to buy more products. We left our purchases and took our little boy home after a stop at PetSmart for the food we needed. The pate, by the way, got him eating again. If my wife had given him this chew right before leaving the house for the day, it is hard to say what the outcome would have been - but it would have been BAD. read more

I've been purchasing my dog food and treats from this store for more than two years and typically have my dog food delivered. I found out today that they use Doordash to make their deliveries. Today my order was not delivered to my door and I was lucky enough to see someone walking off with $112 worth of dog food and treats. I had to run down the sidewalk to catch them to get my package. I called the store and was basically told that they would have replaced the order but other than that...too bad. Im not usually home when I place my order or when it is delivered. Beware when ordering from Pet Supplies Plus!!! They don't seem to be concerned that the company that they have chosen to work with may put their customer's orders at risk. read more

This is my go-to pet store. I love the staff and the selection. Pricing is very affordable for toys, treats, etc. Things regularly go on sale. I usually bring my pup with me and the staff showers her with love so I'm pretty sure this is her favorite store too. Unlike other pet stores, its always easy to find someone to help you if you have a question AND it never takes forever to check out because they have more than one register open. *Cough cough* PetSmart Grooming is fairly priced and my pup always comes out looking amazing. They care for my pup as if she was their own. It usually takes about 2-3 hours for my sheltie and the quoted time has been consistent. The point system that is in place is superior to any other pet store. I regularly earn substantial rewards because I can do little activities online to earn supplemental points. They even give a birthday coupon for your pet! Bottom line: quality products and services for affordable prices and great customer service. read more

None of these pet supplies plus are properly trained to groom long hair dogs. I have a Shih Tzu Yorkie mix and I ask for a teddy bear cut, yes he was a little matted on his legs, that breed is known for it. However he wasn't severely, the groomer could have used thinning shears to cut into the matted area instead of shaving off all his hair. Shih Tzu and Yorkie are known for their medium to long coats not a fucking buzz cutt. If you guys don't know what you're doing just say that. NEVER AGAIN. everything in that store is over price and they don't know what they are doing. read more

We love Pet Supply Plus for their awesome employees first. I have yet to go in and not be genuinely greeted. Their staff is exceptional at the three locations we have been to in DFW. I appreciate the sales they run on the high end foods for Howie Murphy because those sales allow me to keep Howie in the best nutritional health he can be in. They carry great products like Missing Link Pro Biotics and anti fungal antibacterial shampoos and sprays that have helped Howie since his exposure to what seems to be a resistant fungal bacterial infection that we can't break despite a year of vet care. Their self wash bath is fantastic. The staff does make a point to keep it clean, which obviously, I truly appreciate. Also, I got in late but had to bath Howie desperately and I got stuck trying to get the water to spray warm/hot for 15-20 minutes extra, putting me way behind in getting us out of the now closed store-staff didn't complain, instead they were helpful and very cool. I owe them all some of my handcrafted Bow Ties as a small gratitude. If you check in, you get great coupons-which are fantastic. I love this store! I've been a loyal customer to this store for the last 3 years. I've been to other pet stores around the area and they just don't have the same level of customer service I get from this place. When I come in to get my dogs food someone always asks if they can carry it to the car for me. People will ask if I need any help. They'll ask if they can give my dog a treat and one time my dog even snatched a treat off the lower shelf and gobbled it up and when I apologized and said I'd pay for it they laughed and told me it was fine and I didn't have to. Everyone that works there looks genuinely happy to be there and smile and welcome me as I walk in. I bring my foster dogs here for treats and today I brought in a 50lb 6 month old foster puppy that was going crazy pulling me around on the leash and the woman behind the counter showed me a trick with the leash to control the pulling. I was so thankful! This store carries literally everything you need to raise a healthy and happy dog. Is your dog stressed? They have the tools you need to help. Is your dog not potty trained? They have the tools you need to help. Does your dog need a bath somewhere that isn't your tub and don't want to pay for a groomer? They have a groom room for very cheap. I went in with my dog, just to do something I didn't go in looking for anything specific. The location doesn't seem that grand but boy I am glad I went in and tried it out since its down the street from my residence. As I was browsing employees asked if I needed anything (multiple instances). Even the other customers were extremely friendly. I walked around with my dog and found multiple items on clearance or sale. It was a couple days before Black Friday and they had their Black Friday sales out. I ended up getting a bunch of treats for my dog all on clearance/sale. I went past the Greenies they were buy one get one. That's a great deal and they were cheap too. I found a bone that was a good price too, I only got one since I haven't given my dog one before, hopefully she likes it. At the counter they have a little hook for the leash, which made checking out so much easier. Do all pet stores have that and I just never noticed? I will be going back often, probably as my go to place for all of my pups items. I highly recommend checking it out and getting their reward program. read more

I come here every now and then and I usually find everything okay. The employees are always outstanding. Though I recently had gone in to make a return sometime in the afternoon (past 5) and well I don't really like complaining about employees but this kid working there with glasses made a very insulting comment about my jacket and his manager was right there but didn't tell his employee anything. I felt really threatened by his comment and his manager even gave me a flat attitude afterwards. I didn't even know why to say back to this kid. The manager didn't ask me if I had an account with them and just did the return/exchange off the receipt. I left the store feeling super under appreciated. And not treated with enough respect.
