I hope corperate takes a closer look at this location and fixes the culture here. I end up having to drive miles in another direction to get food for my dogs cause they're so unfriendly at this location. It's an all white staff, has been for years, and none of them want to help you if you're ethnic. Every other spot I've been to is great, the most friendly staff, but this location is horrid. It's been like this for years now. You are only welcome there if you're white. Today I had a really rude large white lady with black hair snap at me for asking questions about my dogs snacks. She had total attitude from start to finish like I had bothered her whole day or something. Then, when I went to check out (cause apparently they removed the counters so employees could spend more time helping customers ironically HAHAHAHAHA) I asked for a bag and she snapped "we have none sorry" with this evil smirk on her face..... it's crazy how different literally ALL THE OTHER SPOTS ARE except this ONE. They need to recycle their entire staff and management and make a point to diversify, this neighborhood is becoming predominantly colored people, it's not right to have a location like this that promotes racial profiling and such grotesque behavior. ***UPDATE*** I have spoken to Sharon W directly myself and she was completely defensive and biased to the entire situation. So people know, most owners use AI to respond to us, this is just some blanket comment the "owner" left to cover their tracks. This company has gotten so big they do not care anymore about the culture of their stores or maintaining good customer service. This was really disappointing how corporate decided to handle this. I am wearing my meta glasses everytime I walk in now and hope I can catch this on film and blast this place. read more

I had never been to Hollywood feed before a few weeks ago. I was trying to find a dog bakery treat for a dogs birthday that we were going to and they came up on my search. I had a great experience the first time and came back last night to another great experience. The people who work at Hollywood Feed are so helpful. They even offered to cut the esophagus chews in half for my dog. I can't tell you enough how great their customers service is. The prices are higher than PetSmart, but the experience and quality items are worth it. read more

I really like Hollywood Feed! It has good vibes. It's small so when you walk in they'll always ask if you need help finding anything, and they're very knowledgeable about what they have in stock. I also called one time asking if they had any items to help cats take their pills, and the lady on the phone gave me lots of good advice. I think most/all of the people who work here are pet owners so they know what they're talking about, and sometimes they bring their dogs! My only gripe is that they don't have a whole lot of stuff for cats compared to how much they have for dogs, but that makes sense since the demand for dog items exceeds that for cats. Order keeps being automatically canceled online because of "external fraud check," that "could be due to anything, including phone number, address, card, etc." Called customer service and their response was that once an order was declined, all information associated with that order would be blacklisted and couldn't be used to place an online order again. She is really well informed of the products that the store holds and happy to answer questions and how well they work by other customers experience. So was looking for some stuff for my puppy. A harness to be exact. And I guess whatever else he/I came by. ( spoiled puppy alert ) His name was Reese (border collie). So I'm walking in thinking this was like a pet smart , was I wrong the engagement the I revived was incredible. The employee offered to size the harness on my 9 week puppy & helped out on her thoughts on which harness I should get. Then $16 dollars turned into $144. Donna I believe her name was, was so super helpful we chatted for about 20-30mins just on puppies/dogs she took a couple pictures and even drove to a different location to pick up a crate for me. We have been coming here since they first opened. They have wonderful people working here. Real pet lovers! Whenever we have a particular need they have great ideas on how to help us out. One of our Labradors was getting her neck irritated by her collar and was not able to wear it any longer. We do not like having her without her ID so we inquired about a collar that would not irritate her. They help us find exactly what we needed and it has worked out great. I love that the Richardson SPCA comes in with dogs and cats that need a new home. It is a great place to go if you are looking to rescue a wonderful dog or cat. read more

I love coming here! People are so accomodating, always there to answer questions. One night I got there late since I just got off from work to find a perfect dog food for my dogs (I was transitioning them to a better dog food since my babies are getting old) they still let me in even though they were about to close that night! They were patient enough to explain the differences of each dog food and helped me carry the bag to my car. When I got home, my dogs love their new food! Any place that caters to my spoiled Baxter, is a place that I love. We like to splurge and get him treats at Hollywood Feed, and a closer location makes it easier to do so. Don't be alarmed, but some of his favorites include tendons, pig ears, and duck feet, but they have a ton to choose from. He also likes the iced dog cookies. Hollywood Feed has everything your pet may need from grooming, beds, food, and collars. Definitely a fun place to browse, and you will be sure to find something to take home. 1 star off due to mixed reviews on customer service. On my last visit a friendly employee helped me narrow down treats for Bax to try. Another time, I was not thanked after checking out. Ew! This was the first pet store I took my new puppy to, the staff was super sweet to us and loved on her the moment we walked in. She saw a big dog, got super nervous and had an accident, they cleaned it up and told me it wasn't a big deal! They gave her a duck foot to chew on while I shopped, gave me great recommendations on which food to buy, goat milk to add to her dry food & some great natural treats for her. We usually get tracheas, cows ears & bully sticks there as an alternative to raw hide and Ellie can never get enough of them! The price for the bag I get is actually at a better price compared to WOOF. The place seems to be always stocked, good service and a clean environment. If you're looking for premium food: Orijen/Acana, Fromms, TOTW etc. this place will most likely have what you're looking for. They have every single type of Fromm's under the sun. I saw this store while eating in the area and was curious since I just got a new kitten! Just from walking in I was in love, everything was super organized and it did not smell like a bad mix of animals! I came to look for a new collar but found calming treats which was a great deal (50 for around $6), and ear cleaner. I also saw great deals on litter and food, so I will be returning for that! The customer service was fantastic, I saw the employees having long and helpful conversations with customers. I was helped several times which was fantastic. The customer service is excellent here and is the reason why I want to return! They have a wide selection available and even some cute things for us humans. I asked about the return policy and I was told that if you or your pet does not like the product, you can get a full refund or exchange and there is no limit on days which is awesome!
