14+ year old dog. Been taking her to get a haircut 2-4 times yearly. I usually go to the Richardson location but they've been booked full. Decided to bring her to the east Plano location this year. Last visit was great, but this last visit was the worst experience ever. Overcharged. $79 for 14 years and signed check in paperwork with that price. Charged $99 at pickup. Groomer was rude, i complained but there's no point in arguing with an idiot. Paid and picked up my dog. Dog was still wet. Not damp, wet. Horrible location for grooming. The lady's had no patience or experience with dealing with dogs. First appointment rescheduled due to vaccine paperwork understandable however during this interaction my dog had an accident which seemed to piss off the groomer who blandly pointed to the spot with out offering napkins or a trash can so that I would gladly clean it up. Instead I had to ask and she had an attitude. Brought my puppy back as requested (Yorkshire male) not even 30 minutes into the appointment it was cancelled due to him "snapping" as if this isn't a regular occurrence for a first time grooming. Unprofessional won't be back or recommend this place to anyone that actually cares for their dog. read more

We tried the grooming service for our beautiful cat, Amos. We booked last week over the phone, we received an automated call on Monday to confirm the appointment. We dropped off Amos today for his appointment, but they tried to groom him while surrounded by barking dogs, which naturally stressed him out. They performed no services and somehow managed to change our number in the system and were not able to reach us for four hours. I went and picked Amos up and he was obviously stressed out from his day at Pet-notso-Smart. Instead of apologizing, they blamed my wife for not verifying the number when she dropped our boy off. Their lack of care and concern over our cat was really disheartening. We do all our pet supply shopping at a different Petsmart location, but debating if I will ever step back into another Petsmart again. read more

I have been going there for awhile to get my dogs groomed however last time they rejected him saying he has bad allergies. This time they made the appointment saying they can take him I go in at 8 am just to be told that no we can't take him because he has allergies and is diabetic. The groomers don't know the dogs they groom even after reading the records. They don't know how to update rabid information or anything. Above all they have this careless tone in there voice. Used to love getting my dog groomed here. Three weeks ago I picked her up and one eyelash was shaved but other was not. Her face was not evenly trimmed. We were always using one Groomer, but I suspect they were busy and someone else did it. I have a sweet little rescue dog and don't understand how they screwed this up. All though this location isn't close to my home, I drop by every once in while because if I'm lucky, I'll get to watch the doggies play while they're at Pet Camp. I used to purchase dog food between PetSmart and other retailers, and have often found that PS has better prices on certain items. It's 9:30pm, we dropped of my pet at 5:00pm. Take in mind the actual store closes at 9pm. When we dropped her off they said it'd take 2-3 hours.. here we are 4.5 hours later. I understand if they were short staffed or running behind on time, I'm just saying the situation could've been managed more appropriately with a courtesy call.. a heads up would have been nice or even a reschedule! Instead we are waiting for them to finish her up, they held her 4.5 hours so they could tell me to come back at 9 when I showed up already at 8 pm to check up on her once since I was getting worried it was taking longer then it should be. Second time we showed up (the time we were told to come back at, which is the actual closing time of the store) they had barley just started grooming her. Disappointed with the communication skills and efficiency of this location of PetSmart. A discount and free bone doesn't take the fact away that it took almost 5 hours to groom my dog, and it was literally done last minute at closing time. 5-9:30? Terrible organization and customer service, not coming here again for grooming services. The salon manager Jeff could definitely use some more management experience and training. First of all this was lizzie's first visit. there was a sign that there is a 25 percent discount on first visit. they did not acknowledge that the discount. they said it will go to her next visit. which is fine with me. i paid $62.00 on her first visit. groom plus whatever they did to lizzie. I called today and there was a lady that has a bad attitude. i told her about lizzie's nails. they were cut but they are very sharp. and she told me well, it was not included and i did not pay extra to grind her nails. This review is specifically for Jeff at the grooming salon. He has always been attentive and has a natural talent for people and dogs. Please keep up the good work! My little Billie is a half Chihuahua half Maltipoo. Her hair continuously grows and needs grooming about every 4-6 weeks. She's a bit skittish around other dogs, but Jeff puts her at ease. She always comes back looking phenomenal. Can't say enough about him. When I come in sooner than expected, he always asks if I'm happy with the cut and will make adjustment if I want something else. Only down side is that the grooming appointment is usually 3-4 hours long. Good time to go run errands, but not a quick cut by any means. read more

Ordered Zymox Hydrocortisone Ear Solution for my 14 year old diabetic poodles ears....use this occasionally to keep her ears clean and help prevent ear infections and has always worked. Low on the bottle that I had... so opted for "Same Day" delivery and put a tip for the door dash driver on my card with the product charge. Received text that the order will be on the way between 4pm to 7pm that day.... Later I received another text saying the order was cancelled or modified.....wait...I did not cancel or modify...what's going on. Went back on the website and the order was indeed cancelled and gave no reason...just to call the store. So I did...the young lady that took the call changed computers and came back on to tell me the product was not showing in the store....so i asked her how was I going to get it today if you don't even have it in the store.....she could not answer that....not her fault though as she only works there..... It gets better though.... I felt like this was weird.... so I printed off the order showing to have been cancelled on the website.....just had a feeling that I might need that......and I was right...Petsmart went ahead and billed my card for the product and the door dash tip even though I had no product.....WOW My gut told me to go with Hollywood Feed or Chewy in the first place....so lesson learned of why I had quit shopping there a long time ago.... We have taken our goldendoodle to a pet smart in lubbock for over 2 years (he'll be 3 in November). We take him often as he has so much hair it's pretty high maintenance! Everytime we take him somebody loves on him. He is an amazing dog, they tell us everytime too! He is not aggressive at all and only barks/cries when he's in a cage. We moved to Dallas last month, and it has been super hot so we figured we would get him cut pretty short for the summer. We walked in for our appointment at this pet smart, and a lady helped us promptly. She seemed nice enough. Then our actual groomer came to do the check on him for mattes and everything else, she didn't talk to him at all. Hardly spoke a couple words to us. We showed her what we wanted and she said okay. We asked if she could call us 30-40 mins before he was done so we could get him before they have to put him in the cage (he HATES the cage and will absolutely cry obnoxiously the whole time). The pet smart in lubbock ALWAYS called us ahead of time. This lady said well I have dogs back to back so I'll call when I'm done. We mentioned we just didn't want them to have to hear him yelling bc it can get pretty loud and annoying. She said it was fine. We came to pick him up and both ladies said he gave them a hard time. One lady even said he "made" her hit her head when she tried to put him in the kennel. I thought maybe it was because he wasn't used to this pet smart, but he has gone to another place one time last summer in dallas and they all loved on him and said he did amazing. I'm convinced they just didn't show him any love or make him feel comfortable, so for that I give 1 star. Also the top of his head is completely uneven. Just called to try to get my dog a bathing appointment. I asked for a dry bath or the same thing he got last time he was there. The girl answering the phone said they don't offer that and I must've taken him somewhere else because my account with them has no previous history. I said why would I have an account with you if I hadn't been there before? Then she said I don't know and started mumbling something, I said I'm sorry slow down I can't understand you. Then she hung up on me. Guess I'll be going elsewhere. This is the second time I've had an issue there. The last issue I had I tried to get my dogs nails trimmed there and they told me they can't just trim nails they must also give a bath. I shop here often & I definitely appreciate the logical layout of the store. There are cards located at the ends of each aisle which let you know which type of items are located on that particular aisle. One of my biggest peeves is not being able to find an associate to ask for assistance when I need it & I never have had that problem here. Me and my family have been a customer here for over 20 years. We have spent so much time and money here. This stop as of last night. My dog came in for a grooming service with a groomer name Cynthia C. and my husband who dropped off our dog was told he should be done around 7:00pm but she would give us a call when he is ready. I was worried since it was pass 7:00pm with no callback. Around 7:30pm we went to check if he was ready or not. When I got there, all the lights in the grooming salon were off and no one was in there. I though it was odd that they left like that and the manager on duty stated that they didn't even tell her that a dog was left back there. I have not encounter something like this before. Manager Chelsea saved the day and the staff was so nice! Been up all night with the dog. Took two hours off work to get his px diet had fax from vet because they are not close enough to drive to get it. Banfield was not helpful but Chelsea seriously helped me. Thank you so much for taking the time so I could feed the dog and get back to work in time! I had already gone to their competitor and they did not have it. BEWARE THE GROOMER AT THIS LOCATION I brought my dog in grooming the second time and when I picked him up his front two paws were bleeding. When o asked what possibly could have caused the bleeding, one of the groomers took him back to the vet. The vet can't back to say my dog chews on his paws because of allergies. Mind you my dog has no teeth and I have never observed him chew on his paws. The groomer was very nonchalant and showed no sympathy or care in regards to the incident. The person who groomed my dog was not even present for me to discuss what happened. I will not be bringing my dog back to this place. They get at least two stars because one of the ladies in the grooming area was nice and helped stop the bleeding. The store manager was also kind enough to offer a refund which I didn't take because it was the principle of the whole situation. My fur baby should be in the same condition as he was when I dropped him off. read more

This review is strictly for the Banfield they have on this location. First of all, my pet used to be on a wellness plan when he was a puppy. I chose Banfield when I was still in cali because I have a really close friend that was a vet in one of their locations. I trust her, so naturally I didn't think twice on getting my dog to be on their plan since my friend was there. But, now that I am no longer living in cali I had to find a new Vet that I can trust and will tell me exactly what my pet needs and not try to up-charge or up-sell me onto everything. So after doing my research I decided to get him back on a Banfield wellness plan. So I came in today at this location. The staff are nice and they answered all my questions and concerns especially when I was deciding which plan to get for my pet. Johanna (i hope i spelled her name right) was super nice and helpful. She handled my dog and my concerns very well. Dr. Voge was great too! She didn't just answered all my questions she also gave me tips in dealing with brushing my dogs teeth. I'm super happy that my pet is in great "ideal" health condition and finally got him back on a wellness plan. I don't know why this location doesn't have a good review. It's my first time here and I don't know how their grooming dept and their other staff are, but as far as my experience is concerned, this location has a great Banfield customer service and will be happy to come back here again! read more

HORRIBLE!!! Do not trust your pets here! Do NOT take your dogs here- if they are a bully breed they will not board them together. And btw- they won't tell you until you get there and leave you with ZERO options when your scheduled for a flight first thing the next day! And then blame the lack of information communication on a "call center"! The management Crystal had zero concern for the enormous problem they created for our family. The people working the counter were matter of fact "sorry not our problem attitude". These poor fish were left in a sealed bag with maybe an inch of water in them, they could barely move around. Most of them were dead. I told the lady at the desk and she said oh yeah someone should've done that and tells this guy that was just standing there to go do it. He said okay I'll do it now, I went back a few minutes later and they were still in the bag. The tanks are small enough the least they can do is let them out of the bag. read more

This is the only place I will ever take my dog to be groomed. Jeff is AMAZING. I am very protective of my fur baby and I've heard awful stories from people (that don't use this place for grooming) of their dog being cut or their dog looking like a drunk Edward scissorhands went to town on their pet. I've never had to worry about anything like that here. I refer everyone I can to this location. The staff is very friendly and professional, and my pup looks like a million bucks every time I pick her up from her grooming. read more

Our dog Oreo was badly traumatized by the groomers here. We noticed at pick up that he seemed so different than usual. He is usually so happy to see us and go for the car ride home. He is a friendly, well socialized little guy who is always upbeat. He was dejected and seemed actually depressed that whole day. We decided never to take him here again. But then when we tried to have him groomed elsewhere they called us and said he was terrified and wouldn't leave the kennel. Oreo was very accustomed to being groomed. We are so astonished at the severity of the trauma. We'll never know what happened to him at PetSmart, but it will never happen again. You are taking a risk having your dog groomed here. read more

For a Petsmart, this location is as good as it gets. The store is always clean, the shelves are always stocked and neat, and all of the staff members are pleasant. I've had several positive interactions with various members of the staff here and all have been knowledgeable or willing to find another staff who knew the answer. I haven't yet tried to grooming or daycare at this location (We do daycare at the one further south on Greenville) so I can't comment there yet. This is the full service Petsmart variety...they've got the hotel, the daycare, the grooming, and the vet. The fish selection is probably one of the best I've seen and very well cared for. 4 stars is as high as a Petsmart can get in my opinion since they don't carry the brands of dog food that I feed. Once Petsmart starts carrying Orijen and the like....then I'll start going here for everything. At least they have Blue Buffalo so they're not totally hopeless but I have to drive out of my way to Pet Supplies Plus to get the good stuff. Not this stores fault....that's the chains fault. read more

Seriously displeased. We come here every two or three weeks for dog food. Dog food even in the very large bag is expensive. Tonight, there was a promotion on our dog food for 20% off if you buy two bags. Came in to buy the dog food at the discounted price, but there were not 2 bags. Ask the manager if I could either prepay for the second bag and pick it up when it arrived or get a rain check for my discount on the second bag. Even though this was a nationally advertised promotion, they could do nothing to make an accommodation for the situation. They really didn't seem to care that I was a regular customer that spent several hundred dollars a month in their store. I know they have some information about me because we always put in our reward card number when we come in. I am so disappointed that I am seriously considering purchasing all high dollar products from an on line e-tailer as opposed to the brick-and-mortar store. The only advantage of a brick-and-mortar store is the personal service and that failed tonight. read more

She told me that she will take a look then call me before cutting , but they didn't call and cut themselves very short. His face was not even and his ears also were not cleaned. I have been using PetSmart's grooming and hotel/doggy day camp for 4 years now. Cynthia and Brendan are great groomers and take great care of my fur kids. The hotel/doggy day camp - Eden and her staff treats my dogs like family. My fur kids are in great hands when I am out of town. I don't worry about then at all. The staff will call me if there is an issue or question. My dogs love going to doggy day camp at least twice a week. I never had an issue that was not taking care of. read more

As SOON as I walked in, the smell smacked me in the face. Yes, I understand it's a pet place, but I have never, ever experienced this at any other PetSmart. I tried to find my item quickly so the smell wouldn't saturate my pores. Service was not good. An associate stood a couple feet away on the same aisle and never asked if I needed assistance. I walked around looking for something in particular, then had to come back to that aisle and ask him for help. When I made it to the checkout line, the cashier had to ask another associate for assistance. That guy walks over to him and makes some sarcastic, unprofessional comment. I love Petsmart! The store is clean and well organized, and the pricing on most items is pretty competitive. I usually visit the store to purchase something for my cats, whether it be food, litter, or a random toy to introduce a little fun into their daily lives (which they'll then play with for an hour before forgetting entirely that it exists). As an aside, if you sign up for a Pet Perks card (it is free) and enter your pet's birthday along with your information, Petsmart will send your pet a coupon for a free toy during their birth month. I think there is a dollar limit on it, but still, it is nice to get a cheapy toy for your pet to enjoy and destroy. :) read more

Where to begin. I booked an appointment for 10am today for my husky. My fiancée dropped him off and an hour later they call saying they aren't able to groom him right now and he is scratching crate so he needed to be picked up. It's so annoying that you book an appointment but my dog in hour wait wasn't able to be groomed. And then the lady threatened to block me from scheduling so that the issue wouldn't happen again. And when my fiancée picked Bruno up she kept asking if Bruno was a rescue cause I guess in her brain only rescues scratch crates. Petsmart needs to hire some smarter groomers and stop overbooking. Or be honest and say you only have time for little ass dogs. read more

I really like the PetSmart at 75 & Parker. This store is always clean and I never sneeze (yes, I am allergic to pet dander). It's a good thing too since I have 2 cats - one of whom I recently found out is diabetic. I can pick up his prescription food and his beloved kitty litter. They actually carry Dr Elsey's Cat Attract which is about the only once my male tolerates. And they carry freeze dred treats that he loves. My femaie cat is more laid back but she loves the toys that always seem to end up in my cart. They always ask if they can help carry out. I really appreciated it when my arm was busted. They still ask and I hear them ask everyone. Great store and so far, everyone that works here is nice and always asks me if I need something when I'm wondering around. I can't speak for the grooming section since my cats prefer to groom themselves with an occasional furmination from me. read more

AVOID AT ALL COST FOR AQUATICS!! This place has the absolute worst car standards for their AQUATICS. Dead fish in every tank. Cloudy, smelly water that hasn't been properly cleaned in months. Massive snail infestation all over the place. It's more than obvious this guys have no clue at all abouy how to properly care for fish. They have gold fish in tanks that house tetras, barbs, hell there are even gold fish in the angle tank. Disgusting care standards, these people shouldn't be aloud to house or sell any fish at all. Needless to say I'll never be back and will be posting this review on every local fish forum. read more
