I really appreciate that they have the dogs on a regimented schedule instead of confined to one playroom room all day. The dogs have personal time, indoor play, and outdoor play time (each with similar sized dogs). For personal time, each dog has a roomy open-air suite with food/water bowls, a bed, and toys (if you opt to pack them in their daycare bag). For flat-faced breeds like mine, they provide slanted bowls. Although there aren't livestream cameras, the team posts photo dumps to the Facebook group every afternoon (see examples)! Also worth noting, the team is quick to flag any upcoming vaccination needs or behavior changes. They keep a very close eye on the dogs. Lastly, the hours they offer are unmatched. Drop-off opens at 7:30am and pick-up closes at 7:45pm. In summary - The attention to detail that the staff has is exemplary, and their patience and love for dogs fosters a tail-wag inducing environment!

First bonus upon walk in there is zero smell, as horrid smells in a facility is an instant deterrent for me. Trip was delayed due to inclement weather the week of 1/26/26. I was delayed in Galveston for an extra 3 days. Phoned Wags informed of situation, they extended the dates and provided extra food as I prepared enough and one extra meal. Updates were provided at minimum once a day. Mason will definitely return when boarding is needed.

It's not a low cost vet, but the quality of care and customer service makes it the number one choice for me.

This is not to suggest Penny could have been saved. But someone else may go to Cornerstone on Preston Road.. they deserve good care and good advice. ~~~ Letting Penny go at City Vet - Gaston was beautifully done, and they are wonderful.

Their prices are a bit lower than others and I LOVE that they offer Dremel nail service, which is perfect for dogs with long quicks. That confirmed my decision to try this place. It has been a challenge finding anyone who can trim one of my pug's long quicks without hurting him, so I was excited. I dropped the pugs off at 1pm and they were ready around 4:45pm on a Friday (they recently changed grooming services to Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays). The pugs were happy upon pickup and continued throughout the evening as well as smelled pleasant. Their nails looked amazing, and no bleeding occurred. The groomer even showed me her Dremel tool and the safety feature on it to protect dogs' nails. It is always a concerning risk to try a new groomer for various reasons, and I'm so glad I chose Pierre's. I also like that I only needed to show updated rabies vaccinations and not additional shots like many places require simply for grooming. The owner Jobbi managed the phones from the first time I called about pricing and services to scheduling to picking up the pugs. He is extremely friendly and conversational; I never felt rushed. Pierre's is in a cute little house right on Lovers Lane with easy access. I highly recommend them for grooming!

While I can only assume my dog enjoys daycare and boarding, as the facility has no cameras, I have trusted Paw Lofts and recommended to friends many times. Every time I drop her she seems happy. Unfortunately, Maisie was boarded there last week and also received a bath and nail trim on Thursday. Once I got her home I noticed that one of her nails had been cut all the way to the quick -- her paw was actually bloody and there was dried blood matted onto the fur. Then on Saturday while she was playing at home, she bumped that same nail and it started GUSHING blood again. I had to rush to stop it with quick stop powder. This has never happened to her before. She obviously is a dog and doesn't love nail trims, but I have a hard time believing she was acting so out of control that this was unavoidable, she's pretty sweet and I grind her nails myself at home -- When I called to express my dissatisfaction, I was told they don't even use clippers, but a Dremel, which is specifically supposed to prevent this type of injury. That means they must have been grinding her nails aggressively for it to get this bad... I hate that she was clearly in pain and nobody told me or acknowledged it at pickup -- I only discovered it once we were home. I'm including a photo of her sad face that evening when we were having to hold a bandage over her bleeding toe. I have trusted this facility in the past, but transparency and gentle handling are non-negotiable when it comes to grooming. This shouldn't have happened and in the off chance it does I would have appreciated notification, an apology, and probably even a comped nail trim. I hope this is taken seriously so no other pet has to go through this.

My husband is a worrier about our lovely cat family and it puts his mind at ease using this service and how well cared for our cats are. We have a shy kitty that will hide from time to time, but YHPC sitters eventually will win her over and coax her out to feed and get petted. Julie has everything you want in a pet sitter. First, she has a tall, solid, metal fence around her pet yard. We always know our Multi-poo is safe. Secondly, she is professional. Before the drop off all the shots are checked, the invoice is emailed, the communication is clear. Third, she is flexible. We have returned from a trip on Sundays and our children don't want to wait until Monday morning to see the pet they've missed. With communication, Julie has allowed us to pick our dog up even on Sunday afternoon. Finally, and most important, she loves our dog. She's not just saying it, but she really loves our dog. Our dog is excited to be there. He is always safe with the other dogs. And, the personal and loving care he gets from Julie is close to what he gets at home so he never show any sign of trauma, even after being with Julie for up to 2 weeks. The best experience in boarding my 2 pups. Julie and her family made my boys part of their family over the holiday. When I picked up my boys, they were happy, clean, and well cared for. I have a Chihuahua mix that is very timid and usually comes back from boarding shakey and stressed. This is the first time I boarded with D-Best, and I was so happy to see my little guy wagging his tail and interacting with the other pups with no sign of stress. My Sheltie came back as calm as ever, and looking like he was brushed to a fluff. When we got the boys home, they eased right back into their routine with no issues. The staff know every dog by name--every time we walk in, they greet her with a cheerful "Good morning, Roux!" and she's always so excited to see them. I've seen them give the same warm welcome to every dog that comes through the door. It's clear the staff truly love and care for all of their pups. We're so thankful to have a place where Roux can be herself and release all of her Vizsla energy before coming home ready to curl up on the couch with us.

It means the world to me to have access to a well-run facility where I know my dog is loved and cared for in the best way possible in my absence. It's equally important that I have full faith and confidence in them, and I never have to worry when he's there. When I complained they weren't showing up in the time window they promised, she said refused to apologize or do anything about it and did not offer a refund for coming in to my home earlier then I was paying for. What made me have to completely stop using the service is much worse. They misinterpreted the clear schedule and instructions I gave them and came into my home on the wrong day. When they called me to ask where my dog is and I told them they weren't suppose to walk that day, she literally yelled at me repeatedly. This is them coming in to my home on the wrong day and yelling at me for it, instead of apologizing. Their excuse was they sent me an invoice with different days. That is still their fault for showing up on the wrong days when I sent a very clear calendar and instructions. It wouldn't have been a big deal at all if they justapologized, but no. She continued to tell at me and told me to get a new walker. I said gladly! Don't trust these people in your home with your pets.

The Pet Granny has helped me in so many ways -- from loving on our boys, Jackson (Italian Greyhound) and Lincoln (Doberman Pinscher) during midday visits to making sure they're feeling okay when they're sick, to saving our house from being flooded when one of our pipes froze. I'm not sure what I would do if I didn't have them around! They provide an excellent, reliable, trustworthy and friendly service. They never miss an appointment and have provided house-calls for me at the last minute when my plans have changed. I highly recommend The Pet Granny!
