This was the first time I have left my dog anywhere overnight because I recently adopted her. I haven't traveled in the last 4 months because I was worried about boarding her someplace. I believe that she went through a tough time before I adopted her. I saw the great yelp reviews and I decided to call and she answered right away and agreed to meet my dog and I was that afternoon for a walk through. I wound up leaving my dog over the weekend and Julie was very sweet and you can tell she is an animal lover. I felt very comfortable leaving my dog with her. She has excellent communication skills too. My dog came home and was happy to see me but she was a happy happy dog so I that's a great thing. I recommend trying this place if you want someone that lets your dog run freely and play with other dogs as well. We found Julie about 4 years back thru Yelp, and since then it's been Sunny's second home!!! He loves playing with his buddies and loves going there more than anything! They love running around playing in the backyard and crate free! Mochi (Julie's Yorkie) is Sunny's BFF!! Julie and Ken have always been phenomenal and taken great care of him. We love D Best Pet Sitting! We got our puppy during the covid lockdown and when it was time to return back to the office we searched for doggy daycares to take her too during the day. We originally took her to a bigger one in the area and she hated it, resisted even going near the door. We knew we had to find a better place that she liked going to and found D Best Pet Sitting. Our dog gets so excited when we pull up and runs to the front door. She has the best time there and loves getting to see and play with her new friends. I truly cannot say enough good things about Julie and her family. They were absolute life savers for us after adopting our rescue dog Willie and quickly realized he has anxiety and cannot stay home alone (tough for two busy working doggy parents). Willie went to day care at Julie's 5 days a week, and she was always so easy to communicate with and easy-going with his schedule. Julie's house happily became Willie's second home - he would get SO excited every morning when we dropped him off. We also used Julie for boarding during vacations or weekend get aways, and knew he was in great hands. I'm annoyed because this would've been perfect for my dog since she's so timid and is scared in kennels. But they won't take her because she's mixed with German shepherd since their corgi 'doesn't get along with German shepherds'. I can't even bring my dog by to see if they get along? Most dog boarding allows a little trial session to see how the dogs do. This is kind of unprofessional so maybe it's for the best. read more

I am new to the Dallas area and it took me months before I finally found my forever pet boarding place with D Best Pet Sitting! I also tried two other pet boarding places (Urban Paws in Deep Ellum and Dee's Doggy Den on Mockingbird) and they were both hugely negative experiences for me and my dog Maverick. Julie is the name of the owner of D Best Pet Sitting and she is beyond words incredible! She runs the business out of her beautiful home complete with a huge backyard (with a nice pool I might add!) I love taking my dog, Maverick, to be "boarded" here because it is not traditional boarding. Let me give you an example: The first time I ever dropped Maverick off with Julie, she asked me where Maverick typically sleeps when at my home. I told her he sleeps in my bed with me. Her immediate response was: "Ok then, Maverick will be sleeping in the bed with me then while he is here!" Please tell me where else that would ever happen? I was flabbergasted how thoughtful she was to even suggest that! I know without a shadow of a doubt that Maverick will not be siting in a cage all day! He is literally sleeping in Julie's bed with her! You CANNOT get that kind of care at any other pet boarding place. EVER. There are typically not even any people at other pet boarding places overnight. Your dog is just left in a cage until "the staff" arrive. Not here! Also, the prices are SO REASONABLE! I was so shocked to see how cheap it was to board here compared to other boarding facilities. I actually get to pay LESS to NOT have my dog sit in a cage all day? UMM YES PLEASE! Julie runs her business from her very nice home so your dog (or cat) will be in a normal and comfortable home environment compared to a typical, run of the mill boarding facility. Julie and her husband are very nice and trustworthy people. Even better, communicating with Julie is so easy. As in just shoot her a text message easy. I've had pet sitters and pet walkers who make you jump through hoops to just hear how your dog is doing. Julie VOLUNTARILY sends me texts, pictures, AND VIDEOS of what Maverick is doing at her house while I am out of town. Some of the cutest pictures and videos I have of him are from Julie. I can't brag on her enough. NO WHERE else will you get that kind of personalized service. This woman truly cares about your pets. Coordinating drop off, pick up times, and dates is just as easy. I just text her if my plane is delayed and I will be later picking Maverick up then planned, and she has always been accommodating to my schedule. Finally, what does my dog Maverick think about D Best Petting? Well pet owners can tell if their dog had a positive or negative experience at a pet boarding place. I have boarded Maverick other places (see above) where he came home scared, sick, or with tons of energy (indicating he'd been in a cage all day). When Maverick comes home from D Best Pet Sitting, he looks so happy! Plus he sleeps for the next two days straight because he is so worn out from all of the playing! When I drop him off, he gets so excited to see Julie's house! Then he gets even more excited when he sees Julie! Please do not board your animal ANYWHERE ELSE in Dallas!!! Go see Julie! Julie Husa is absolutely amazing! We bring our dog over to her house for doggie day camp and when we go out of town. My dog wouldn't be like to be anywhere else while we are away. We used to take her to Petsmart for boarding and she hated it. She would tuck her tail and have her ears back when I was dropping her off. At Julie's, it is a completely different story! Just brought my maltipoo here for a short weekend stay and couldn't be happier!! Julie and her family treated my pup like their own. Its a home-setting which is best for my pup as she was abused/neglected at another area kennel and HATES being in a crate/cage. For a year and a half, DBest has been a godsend for our sweet Husky who doesn't like to be alone. Julie and family make our boy feel very much at home.
