We had our dogs (2) visit for the day 3 times before we decided to board them for thanksgiving. The dogs loved it and the staff kept us aware of how they were doing throughout the week. We took our dogs to this place two times. The first time seemed to be really good. So the 2nd time, when we picked up our dogs they reeked of urine, they could not find Tuff's stuffed toy and when they did they offered to wash it for us because it was soaked with Urine. It made me wonder how much they actually walked them or cleaned the kennel. It was really disturbing. When I talked to them about it, they were really indifferent. I was really looking forward to this kennel and highly disappointed in their service. They seem to hire young people who don't really care for the dogs. It took me a long time to write this review. Needed a boarding reservation for my 3 pups and had an incredible experience speaking with the most patient receptionist who politely assisted me on the phone for 20 minutes and who patiently answered every single question I had or could have had. My daughter recently took her new puppy here for a full grooming appointment. This was great news to us, since we were struggling to find a place to get the dog groomed, and the dog's long hair was becoming a problem in the Texas heat. The employees told her that the haircut and bathing would take an hour or so. The price and the facility seemed reasonable, so she accepted. This turned out not to be the case. After about one hour, she inquired into how much longer it would take. They kept giving excuses as to why it would take longer and longer. These excuses included "the dog had an accident and had to be re-bathed" which caused them to put the dog further back in line, as well as the clippers breaking during the middle of their cut, which they then needed to drive from Murphy to ARLINGTON to get new ones. All in all, it took them 7 HOURS to get her dog back to her. Even if their excuses are true, they handled it poorly at best. If you have a young puppy for 7 HOURS, of course the dog is going to need to go to the bathroom, but they did not take the dog outside and the dog allegedly had an accident. In addition to not taking the dog outside, they did not give the dog any food or water the entire time. After getting back to the house, the dog drank truckloads of water due to the dehydration and trauma he had incurred at the hands of these people. After all of this, they had the audacity to charge her full price. Since my daughter is such a kind-hearted and honest person, she did not question it and even added a 20% tip. read more

We booked our dog and cat rooms at PetSuites in Murphy for 2 weeks and it was fantastic. The staff were so kind and caring and we received daily updates with pictures. We felt completely at ease leaving them for the length of time that we did. They even sent texts asking if we wanted our dog to participate in ice cream day. It was great. read more

Where do I even begin with this terrible place? DO NOT LET YOUR DOG STAY HERE. I blame myself for constantly giving them the benefit of the doubt. I used to get my little Maltese groomed here which I had no issues with. The employees are wonderful, I have no issues with them. My only issue is Jo Ann's, the manager, attitude and I'll tell you why in a sec. I remember them having kennel cough going around their facility a few months back so I stopped getting my little guy groomed. Fast forward to the end of December, I decided to board my German Shepherd, Sheru (huge, huge mistake). All was well, everyone was nice and I had no problems. Again, customer service is great. But when I picked him up (see pictures) that's what I saw. My poor baby! I took him to the vet and they told me it was from the cleaning products they used. I've been to boarding places before, what type of product makes a dog infected like that? So severely? He wouldn't let me touch him. Imagine if he broke out like that on the outside, what could be happening to him on the inside! I told Ms Jo Ann that on the phone and she never, even once, apologized. Basically acted like it's a normal thing to have your dog hurt here. They covered my vet bill but not my stay. So guess what I did? I called to get a refund for my stay and she asked me why. What do you mean why? YOU LITERALLY HURT MY FREAKING DOG LADY lol. Then she told me "You won't be allowed back" as if I want to be. Keep in mind this is the MANAGER, from all the times I spoke to this woman I never got a sincere apology. Extremely condescending and rude. Because I was in a bit of a bind with an upcoming trip, I considered this place even though it's more expensive than a lot of other places. My little chi-mix is very timid (not aggressive) and scared of everything/body, so while I usually have friends/family look after my pets, I thought the best thing was a "professional" boarding place, where they can charge you a lot because they have experts on hand to care for such situations. I filled out an online request and mentioned her timid personality hoping that any professional dog handler would see that as an opportunity to turn around. By the time the guy calls me back, I no longer needed the service, but I asked him out of curiosity if there would have been availability (to gauge for future holiday travels). He said, yes there would have been but my request would have been *rejected* because he cannot risk my dog biting his handlers. I asked, "you guys are professional animal handlers, right? Isn't that the reason people bring their pets to you?" And he said, yes, but he still couldn't risk his folks getting bitten. ALL OF THIS BEFORE EVEN MEETING AND ASSESSING MY DOG! I could maybe understand them turning us away if after meeting us they thought my baby was Cujo...but he made it sound like they hired a bunch of high school kids to walk dogs during the summer, and health insurance is not covered. For all the money and shots that they require, they have hired people who aren't experienced enough to even leash my scared 12lb chi-mix for a potty break? I would highly caution anyone who is considering this place to get thorough background checks on the people who are caring for your pets while you are away. P.S. (in response to your comment) You do not see me as a 'current client' because you all REJECTED my pet *before* you'd even met her and given me the chance to use your services! We boarded our cats for 4-5 days here. After I received my cats back they were dirty, had eye boogers and throw up or something of the sort on their coat. Along with this, after picking them up i noticed one of my cats eyes watery and red with a slight cough and sneezing. I went to the vet and they stated that she has an upper respiratory infection. Most definitely will not be bringing my kitties back here. read more

I absolutely love the staff and program at pet suits - this really is a lovely place, but we have a problem. PetSuites requires the k9 influenza shot and a lot of vets do not offer it... It will cost me $200 extra per dog to take them to a specialty place to get the vaccine. I like the place and if your vet offers the vaccine I highly recommend it. If your vet does not as seems pretty common in the area it will not be available to you. read more

Disappointment to say the least. My dog Willow has been coming to this resort since she was a baby with no issues.. however no web cams either. Best thing this establishment could have ever done was get them, because today told me everything I needed to know to make the decision to never take her back here again. It was a really pretty day and I wanted Willow to go to daycare so she could play outside and play in the pools. I dropped her off around 12:30 pm and checking in on the cams I saw her get to go out 1 time for about 10 mins and then made to come back inside. She laid around bored because she likes to go and get in the pools. I never saw her get to go back out... I checked in on the cams again around 4:15 pm and I see Willow standing by the gate wanting to go out while another dog is railing her from behind. No one comes to her aid or corrects the behavior towards this dog. I am livid!!!!! I call up to Petsuites and talk to manager Colby, who could careless, I advised to have Willow ready that I was on my way. I get there and you have a bunch of young kids just standing there dumbfounded and Colby says, "I will have someone call you tomorrow." Really???? That's it???? So I get passed off to someone else? I will never take Willow back here ever!!!! I feel a level of responsibility to my baby by not letting her go to an establishment like this where the staff are not looking out for her best interest. Paying 30.00 for a day of play is not letting your dogs not get access to the things I am paying for. Paying 30.00 is not setting my dog up to get humped by other dogs and staff not doing a damn thing about it.. Willow just stood there and had no where to go and any way to get out in the outdoor area. I have referred so so many people here that still actually go here because of Willow. Seeing this today needed to happen as hard as it was to watch, but imagine what I don't get to see and is never reported back to me. I am one anxious dog mama when it comes to boarding our baby, especially on long trips. I am so thankful that we've found Pet Suites they ease all of my worries! My dog actually seems to like going (VERY rare for her) They gave us a very detailed tour of the facility on our first visit to ensure that she'd be staying in good hands. The only downside is that they require getting a flu shot but they did waive it for us the first time we boarded her there. They give awesome "report cards" after her stay to let us know how her behavior was in group play which is so great for worriers like myself lol. There's so many different options of suites for your babies to stay in. I will never be taking my sweet girl anywhere else! read more

I am giving PetSuites of Murphy a really bad rating. We came to pick up our cats after Spring Break and they sent us home without 2 pet beds, 2 pet toy, and a blanket that were all 'documented' at check in. We had to drive all the way back and they were totally disorganized and couldn't find anything. We had to go back to the cat room ourselves and find some of the items scattered amongst other people stuff. At the end of the day, we couldn't find one of our toys which was about a $20 toy. Will never take my pets there again because if they are so disorganized keeping pet items together, I am concerned that they can't keep food and medicine straight. read more

We have used them since they opened. They take such good care of our 5 (yes 5) dogs. They are on top of everything-from when one of the are choosing "not to play well with others" and find an alternative activity for them to when they aren't feeling well or something else is wrong. We get a phone call immediately. 4 of our 5 are very high energy labs and they manage them perfectly. Wouldn't go anywhere else. I see other reviews blaming outbreaks of flu, kennel cough...you can't blame them. It happens. They are crazy-meticulous about obtaining vaccination records. read more

Do not bring your baby here. After witnessing Pet Suites Murphy directly abuse and terrorize my dog, I chose to write this review in efforts of saving any other fur baby that could potentially receive the same level of malicious intent from the Pet Suites staff. It is my hope that a potential customer see this testimony and research other facilities rather than fall victim to this daycare's cruel corrective habits. I was once a loyal Pet Suites Murphy customer who loved to bring my beloved pet, Lilly, to play twice a week with the seemingly professional facility. I was immediately captured by the energetic staff who always greeted us with excitement each time we arrived. I first noticed something was off when upon arriving to the daycare, Lilly, was trembling in fear and refusing to come out from behind me. I brought this concern to the staff's attention and after much reassurance, left my pup there to play. I thought perhaps Lilly was just overwhelmed and still building a trust with her caretakers. We waited a couple weeks before returning to give her some space. However, the same thing happened again the next time we arrived for a day of play. Lilly still violently trembled in fear and distress at the arrival of a place she once loved. This time, I did not ignore her signs of discomfort, and I brought her back home despite being late to my work day. I later called the Pet Suites Murphy facility to discuss the issue, and ask for management to review their video footage to see if anything was out of the ordinary. Their staff told me that this was a violation of their privacy, and that they would not be reviewing footage despite my concerns for the safety of my fur child. At this, I chose not to continue to bring Lilly back and to trust her visible signs of fear. Fast forward a year later, Lilly's best friend was staying in boarding at the Pet Suites Murphy location, and I knew she would be overjoyed at the opportunity of playing with him there. However, as soon as I opened the car door, Lilly was refusing to exit our vehicle. I brought her inside and she for the third time, began trembling upon arrival... I overlooked her reaction, assuming she would cheer up after seeing her friend. I asked to stay for their greeting and to watch them first get to play together. Everything went well, and the two pups went rushing outside to run and play. Having spare time, I chose to continue to watch from the window as the staff members led Lilly and her friend into the mass population of other daycare pups. As soon as Lilly entered the run, she was immediately sprayed in her face with a high pressure hose by another team member. I was a little startled, but held hope that it was not in direct intent. Unfortunately, I was wrong, and this team member proceeded to chase after MY BABY will a high pressure spray to her face two more times as Lilly fearfully attempted to flee. The woman only stopped targeting my dog after I hit the glass window in attempt to end the abuse that my sweet baby was receiving. In anger, I returned to the lobby and asked that my dog not be sprayed with any water of any sort. The manager rushed to the desk and proceeded to argue that their hose only produced a rain sensation, and that the staff members use water to create a "redirecting mist." At this point I learned that behind closed doors this staff was viciously using high pressure water hoses as a "redirective" tool to harass our sweet babies. I witnessed the Pet Suites Murphy location directly target and abuse my baby by violently and continuously spraying her with a water hose even when she attempted to run away. I regret overlooking the signs of distress that Lilly tried to give me so many times. I pray that my testimony bring light to the cruel practices that boarding facilities practice when their victims cannot speak out against them. read more

I typically do not take the extra step to review. However, I felt an obligation. My dog starting vomiting a few days ago. I reached out to the facility to ask if he was behaving differently. They said that he was more lethargic but did not know why. I was concerned that I was not contacted and offered the opportunity to pick him up earlier. We took him to the vet. He was diagnosed with Giardia. The rep shared that they have a number of cases from the Murphy facility. I immediately reached out to share the news. I was surprised that I did not receive any communication. As Giardia is both pet and human contagious, it is my hope that protocols are in place to alert pet parents of such news. However, the lack of response and time delayed response when behavioral changes were noted have permanently removed my trust in the facility. read more

My yorkie gets a great cut and bath but the pricing is off. I took her for a full groom one time and just a bath and nail trim the next and the cost was the same when they rang me up and the pricing online never matches what they charge me. So I'm not sure about pet suites read more

We left our dogs at PetSuites in Murphy for a week while we went on vacation, and when picked up, my English Bulldog/Shar-Pei walked out covered in eye boogers unable to see after specifically leaving instructions on cleaning his eyes due to his condition. We got their beds back wet and smelling like pee. One of our dogs was received with an aggressive behavior and the other was scared. They billed us more after arriving and checking out after already paying out invoice online. It seemed as if they hadn't fed them accordingly since we received back a large amount of remaining food that was scheduled for the following week. We did not receive back all of the toys sent with our dogs. I was very frustrated to reunite with my dog and see his eyes bloodshot red, after questioning staff this concern, I was not able to be given an answer. When we arrived home both dogs were severely thirsty and what seemed dehydrated. Both ingested an excessive amount of water in urgency. Both dogs were very exhausted once arriving home, one of our dogs once sleeping, woke startled and barking and afraid. I was very unsatisfied and frustrated overall for the service we received. I have only brought my dog in three times for play but I have to tell you so far im sold! Our neighbor brings her dog here so we decided to give it a go for our 2 year old tittle mix. First time she was a little nervous about attending but today as we turned she noticed the 7-11 in front she started showing signs of excitement! She was jumping on the seat looking out the window and wagging her tail so hard it was whacking the front seat! It makes me feel amazing that she's so excited to come see her friends at doggie daycare. I love that they have water for them to play in and don't mind when she gets delivered to me wet. My fur baby loves to play in water! All the staff we've encountered has been awesome too. They sit and listen to my daughters ranting about how the dog likes to chase out cat with a smile. They seem knowledgeable about their offerings. All in all so far I'm pleased with our pet care experience read more

We've used Petsuites for boarding in the past and had no complaints but this last time (Dec 10-17, 2022) was a different experience. I booked our two dogs stay over the phone and when we arrived it was completely different than what we were told over the phone. Apparently our puppy had just aged out of puppy preschool and would be in group playtimes. Fine. So I asked if our two dogs would be in group playtime together since they're sisters and we were told yes. I asked to pay extra for pictures and updates. We left for our trip and didn't get any updates or pictures. I texted for updates and was able to get one and found out they did not have it in their system for updates even though I had booked it over the phone and in person. They texted back that it would be corrected. It continued...each day we got zero updates unless I texted. We got one group of pictures after texting them for it. Towards the end of the stay we got one paw-gress report on our youngest dog and nothing on our oldest dog. When we arrived to pick them up they apologized for not giving us updates and for the dogs not being able to have playtimes together (our youngest dog ended up with individual playtimes vS getting to play with other dogs or her sister). When we walked into the facility to pick up our dogs the facility smelled awful and our dogs as well!! We dropped them off clean and picked them up smelling and feeling dirty and like "dirty dogs". The management seems to have gone down since we first used them over the last 2 years. With all of the issues getting them scheduled correctly and then picking up dirty/stinky dogs; I'm not sure i could recommend or use PetSuites again. read more

I was very impressed with the quality of care my puppy received during his stay at this location. The staff is extremely friendly and really cares about providing first class customer service for not only the pets, but the customers as well. They make you feel welcome the moment you walk in the door. The facility is immaculate and very well maintained. I was able to get dayliy updates on my puppies activities and his overall well being. Very disappointed with PetSuites Murphy. When we picked up our dog he seemed very timid and unlike himself, which is very unusual for him. When we got into the car he started to cough really loud and uncontrollable, once again unlike himself. When we got home we gave him some fresh water and he seemed to be doing better... or so we thought... Around 4 a.m. our dog started to cough uncontrollably once again and this time it did not stop. We tried to comfort him the best we could but nothing seemed to work. He became lethargic, would not eat/drink or use the restroom. We immediately called the vet and he has a bad case of Kennel Cough. Before you ask, yes we got a the Bordetella vaccine. This was our dogs first experience at PetSuites Murphy and we will not be returning. He has stayed at other places before (they were all booked this time) and we have NEVER had a problem, nor has he ever gotten Kennel Cough. Please be careful when taking your fur babies here :( read more

We picked up our dog from boarding the night before we originally were going to pick up on Sunday morning. I called in advance to let them know we were going to pick him up early. Our pet was to get a bath and have his nails trimmed and I confirmed that was done when I called. When we picked our dog up around 5:30 he was still very wet and his nails didn't appear to have been done. The normal evidence of a bath was there, he had the cute scarf and of course was wet, but he has never smelt like this coming out of a bath. I believe he had no shampoo, and was either thrown water on or never finished a bath. I know our dog can be difficult, and it is ok today he wasn't able to be bathed, but this is unacceptable, even if he had been towel dried he wouldn't be that wet.
