After six years our groomer decided the commute was too far for her and even though we loved her dearly we had to find someone local. I asked my "Nextdoor" family .. who did they recommend? I had over 60 responses!!! One out of three recommended Hound Therapy!! Current clients posted pictures, told their stories and had so many nice things to say about Shannon (the owner). For me, this was great news. I called HT to chat. I got a friendly person who was compassionate about my situation. We talked about the breed of my ChaCha. Their services and prices. They were in line with my former groomer. Booking an appointment was super easy. You can call to make an appointment, no problem! If you prefer an online process, you can book from their website. Either way the correspondence is organized. Nice! Our ChaCha is terminally ill. She requires a lot of patience, kind words, gentle touch, and a lot of TLC in between. She's 14, blind, deaf but well behaved so I really wanted someone who didn't mind working with her. I stepped in and was greeted by Shannon. She listened to my long long story and was completely comfortable with our situation. I felt 100% ok leaving ChaCha there. ChaCha did great transitioning to someone new. I appreciated learning more about Shannon and her passion as well as outreach efforts for animals. I recently decided to give Shannon and her team a second chance. I stopped grooming my dog for about two months before I decided to try this spot once more. I have been uncomfortable with grooming since all the situations I've dealt with. The reason why I decided to give Hound Therapy another try is that Shannon, the owner, has told me she would want to groom him herself. I trusted this time would go better since it's someone with way more experience then regular workers. It was definitely a rough start, my dog bite her assistant and I was called back in to calm nerves. She was very transparent and allowed me to watch her through every process of grooming. To be honest, I appreciate she didn't give up on my dog. I have had vets and groomers tell me I can't watch them do their jobs. Shannon was very open and wanted me to watch every step. She was willing to let me observe as long as it was helping my dog and not scaring him more. Shannon explained every little thing like what tools to use and what degree number scale. She told me all the possibilities of an accident that can happen with what tool and how last time could have came about. In general, I'm hoping after today things are looking up and we can come back as loyal customers. I would love to stick with one groomer going forward. read more

I strongly advise not taking your dog here! We took our poodle mix to be groomed and have his ears plucked. If there's any kind of matting they will shave your dog regardless of request. After 6 hours of being at the groomer, our dog came home in pain and bleeding all night. After a vet visit and many medications, we found out his ears were damaged and not properly cared for when plucked. He also now has a lower back injury from the groomer. We brought all of the information and our concern to the groomer and the staff and they refuse to think anything is wrong. If you plan to go here and something goes wrong, don't count on this company to be understanding or helpful. read more

We brought in our Bernese Mountain dog for just a small trim to take care of loose hair and clean him up. I was worried because other places I've taken him to barely even trimmed him, but I have now found our go-to groomer! They asked what I wanted when I dropped him off to make sure they take took care of everything. They did awesome! He looks great, clean, and even took care of his tricky paw hairs with no issues! I don't recommend this place. I brought my dogs twice to this place and they did a horrible job on them in both occasions, groomers are polite and will attempt to fix the mistakes but overall the operators of this groomers are totally unprofessional and difficult to deal with . (They over charge without permission , argumentative, horrible grooming result and rude beyond reason) . Last time they charged $240 per dog and the result were awful, the funny part is that they said they charged us a huge fee for de-matting but the dogs came "shthey ved" , ha ?!! .. they didn't even apologize for their mistakes even after mistreating my dog and cut him, not even bothered to reply back to our msgs. They make you totally uncomfortable if you dare asking questions. I made the mistake bringing my dogs to them because they have almost immediate availability but I believe now they have that much availability because people don't want to send their dogs to them anymore . Why the headache, this was their last chance and will never take my dogs to this horrible place nor I'd recommend it ). read more

What a great place. They were so accommodating, I had an urgent need last minute because my lil doggie was getting Neutered and I wanted him ready for surgery. Shannon and her associates are extremely professional and informative. They bathed and brushed out my large long haired shepherd with a double coat and he looks, feels, and smells amazing! She gave me some excellent tips on how to maintain his hair better at home and showed me specialized tools that I hadn't seen before. This place has been my best find since adopting my pups. Covid has not allowed for much opportunity to socialize puppies during their formative years. However I signed the boys up for a bi-weekly grooming at Hound Therapy. Shannon, the owner, has her puppy, Whisky, on site when she is there. They have a large common play area for the dogs to play before and after grooming so they aren't cooped up in a cage for hours like at other groomers I've been to. This place is fantastic! I really couldn't tell you that they do a better job grooming Baelee than other places. They shampoo, they dry, clip nails, brush teeth; basic stuff. I have recently moved to Texas with my two dogs (Pomeranian mix and a yorkiepoo chihuahua) they have never been round other dogs before and were timmed so they would constantly bark at anything that moved. My brother informed me about an amazing place where they help dogs like mine and so when I took my Pomeranian (who is the one that barked the most) within a few minutes, she acted like a different dog. I went in to get my doggers nails trimmed and left finding not only the place that we will continue to take our dogs to get their nails trimmed, but also a new dog day care! I spoke with the owner as she trimmed my dogs nails and she is so nice. She did such a great job trimming their nails, she was able to get them nice and short without even getting near their quicks.
