I said I am sorry am I very early and she looked at her watch and said it's 10:07 - you'll need to wait a bit like I was there an hour early. I then asked how long until he will be ready and they said around 3-4 hours. I called to check on him after that time and they had no update on him. Then their phone lines were down so I went in and they let me know he was up next on the grooming table but didn't have an exact time. At 4 pm he was finally ready and they let me know they brought him out to go to the bathroom( plus for them but I'd hope so as he had been there awhile!) I got there as soon as I could and my dog looked upset. The groomer came out and said how she couldn't do my dog's face because he was biting and thrashing and I should look into anxiety meds for grooming. I have personally seen my dog groomed and been told by every groomer in the past that he is a joy to groom. He went to puppy training classes and is always a calm dog in these situations. I let them know it must be something they had done or triggered to make him react that way because I have never seen my dog bite, he's a very sweet boy. They also claimed he was in " bad shape" and shamed me for his hair yet he was given a bath and brushed by a professional a week before this groom. I went back in because I was so upset by this experience and the staff and they just continued to blame my dog. Regardless, for an upscale dog grooming establishment they should be able to accommodate dogs for this price. Horrible experience- I have not written a Yelp review in a long time but I needed to for this. $95 before tip for this and they didn't offer an apology or anything but just blamed my dog.

I have been bringing my two Mastiff's there for a little over a year now...and I'm very very happy with their service. So much so, that even after I moved to North Framingham I still bring them to Rotherwood. Dr. Allen has been amazing. I have had the unfortunate experience that I'm sure a lot of you have also had, where the vet will speak to you as if you are dim.... she has NEVER done this. She speaks to me clearly, never pontificating and never over explaining simple concepts. If there is something I have questions about, she answers them well and again never speaks to me like I'm a toddler who doesn't understand big words. She has also been extremely patient with me because, of course... being in the pet care industry I have my opinions of things and will even "self treat" my dogs... which I'm sure she hates, but she never makes me feel bad about it... my Bronson has recently started developing Aural Hematomas (when the ear basically turns into a water ballot filled with blood and lymphatic fluid). He's a big boy... about 130lbs... wearing a cone is a LAST resort. Her way of treating him was basically tailored specifically to MY DOG. Not how you would treat every dog for it... but the way that I want my dog to be treated. She maybe slightly apprehensively came up with a way less invasive way of treating it, that also saved us having to have a cone on a gigantic house hippo... so she also saved all my brand new furniture and spared me from the inevitable destruction to my new house that would have come with Bronson wearing a cone. I have revelry sent customers of mine to Rotherwood and someone brought to my attention that the inside of the building is maybe a little dated. (Like paint colors). I legit said to the woman. "Who gives a Sh*t if they need to update their decor... big they have good staff that's what matters!" She went there and specifically called me to yank me for sending her there. A couple of days ago, I was driving out to Newton (from South Boston) on very short notice, because there was a miscommunication with the person I was going to be picking up my new kitten from, and I had to pick her up earlier than expected. The problem was, I didn't have any supplies yet (cat carrier, litter box, etc). So I quickly purchased a few items online (with in-store pickup) from the PetSmart in Newton, hoping to swing in at grab these supplies before picking up my new pet. However, the automated confirmation email from PetSmart said "if you place an order within 2 hours of closing time, your order will be ready the next day". I had placed my order at 5 pm, when PetSmart was scheduled to close at 6pm, so I was screwed. I was already on my way to Newton, and had no idea what to do if I didn't at least have a new carrier to bring the kitten home in. I called up PetSmart, explained my situation, and asked if there was anyway they could get my order ready for pickup today (and I was already 10 minutes away from the store at this point). Not only did Kelcie immediately go gather the items that I purchased, and had them ready at the front counter, but she also brought up an alternative cat-carrier that she strongly suggested I exchange for (for the same price) instead of the one that I selected online, which was too small, and my cat would grow out of it in a matter of months. She processed the exchange, and had me in and out of the store in a matter of a few minutes, and totally saved my day.
