I have a Bernese Mountain Dog tha can not be in a lot of heat, so the shaded runs are appreciated. On this day, I arrived at 8:40 AM with my elderly, blind dog. The door was locked, and I could clearly see the owner inside washing another dog. I rang the bell and then stood outside in the rain waiting, assuming she couldn't hear me. When she finally looked up and saw me, I waved. She responded with a dismissive hand gesture through the glass. She then came to the door and told me I would have to reschedule because I was late. There was no acknowledgment that I had been standing outside waiting, and no consideration for the fact that I was there with an elderly, blind dog in the rain. I understand that businesses need policies and schedules. What I did not expect--after more than a decade of consistent, monthly patronage--was the complete lack of courtesy in how this was handled. If this is how long-time customers are treated over a 10-minute delay, I would recommend others keep that in mind when considering this groomer.

They have a camera on site and once in a while, I check it out and see how kind and loving the staff is, since our boy, like all Ridgies, likes to stay close to people and follow them around! Buddy's is impeccably clean and well-organized. They are remarkably responsive about scheduling, with excellent and quick communication. She started off fine but then I watched in horror as the man must have hit skin and she began yelping and writhing in pain. I repeatedly asked him to stop as I saw how upset she had become, which he blatantly ignored. Though I tried to intervene multiple times, he kept on with my pup screaming on the table. When he finally finished he grabbed her by the neck and threw her at my feet. Someone like this has no business working with animals.
