They always treat my "complicated" dog with care and kindness. Staff is super friendly.

I took my dog here a couple times, and the last time he went, he was bitten. Things happen, but when we picked him up, it wasn't mentioned at all. We found out because we was acting off and had a bump, so we took him to the vet. The vet shaved it down and revealed the bite. The disturbing part about this is that it wasn't mentioned. This either means the employees witnessed it and said nothing, or weren't watching the dogs/didn't hear my dog yelp when it happened. We've attempted to email twice with no response. This is our last attempt to show something happened. I don't recommend taking your dog here as it's pretty disturbing that a bite was never addressed. You want to take your dog somewhere they'll be happy while you're not with them, and this experienced has not been reassuring that the Dog Barn provides that. read more

Horrible treatment. My dog, who has always gotten along with other dogs, was involved in a skirmish. I received the most nonchalant phone call informing me of it and was told by the owner that he was bleeding but it didn't look bad,AS she was informing me she was leaving in 10 minutes. Living a good 20 minutes away,I headed there to pick up my boy and proceed to the vet. I asked for the 2 remaining days on my package to be reimbursed and for the other dogs owners information and was promptly told no. The not too bad turned into 4 stitches in a spot below his eye. Was planning on leaving after the new year as it is already a filthy place but filled the need for the time being. Stay away if you like your dog. read more

I was in a bind to find a place to take my 1 year old puppy after my I initial plan fell through so I started researching. I contacted dog barn and within a day they called me and asked a few questions about my dogs behavior and got her in their calendar for boarding. I was so grateful. They have extremely convenient hours so you can pick/up and drop off around your schedule and most importantly my dog clearly had an amazing time and I'm planning to bring her for daycare more often ! read more

Our pups had a great time in boarding. The staff was also extremely nice as well. The reason for 3 stars is because of the cleanliness. I've boarded dogs many times and have never gotten them back smelling how they did. One of our dogs has an eye infection and the others coat smelled horrible, as he has longer thicker hair. They were only there for three days. It's a good place, just not clean at all. read more

We boarded our two Goldens with The Dog Barn about a week ago, and were super happy with the service and pricing that we got. When we picked up our dogs after a week, they were happy and excited to see us, and very relaxed. We could tell they had a great time, and were well taken care of. Even our 7 year old Golden Lab Daisy, who usually has anxiety when she's been at kennels in the past and was a nervous wreck when we picked her up, was happy and content when we picked her up. The 5/5 rating for this place is very confusing to me. I scheduled my 10yo bernese mountain dog to be groomed here. He was scared and shaking when we got into the office. Not a single person working there offered any reassurance that he would be treated with kindness. It seemed like they didn't even like dogs. They called me 3 hours later and said that my dog's hair was too knotted to groom and he would need to be shaved. Now, yes, my dog needs a grooming for sure (hence the grooming appointment), but we regularly brush him and no other groomer has ever mentioned knots or shaving. When I picked my dog up from the not-getting -groomed experience, the person who brought him to me told me that he had "forgotten" where my dog was and, thus, had taken a long time to get him. I had to open the car windows as we drove home because my dog literally stunk so much of this place. We had to immediately bathe him when we got home because he was so much stinkier than when we had left him. I am so confused by this whole experience. My guess is thar the groomer didn't want to deal with my big dog. I wish they had just told me that they didn't groom big dogs and then I wouldn't have wasted my day and ended up with an even stinkier dog. It's also possible that my dog was shaking and petrified and didn't want to get in the groomer's tub. If that was the case, they could have had told me that he was too scared instead of telling me to shave him. Bottom line: if you hate your dog and love stank bring it here. read more

Won't be back. I had to cancel a reservation, I called 2 weeks ahead of time. I was told as long as I use it for another day I'd get it back. I just tried to rebook again & was told I wouldn't be getting my deposit back. Given I have 4 dogs it was a hefty deposit. read more

I took my dog for a grooming and not only was the price fantastic - it took half the time of our old groomer. Who wants their dog sitting in a shop with 20 other barking dogs for 4+ hours? Dog Barn took just 2 hours. My dog came out looking fantastic (coat, nails & ears) and happy as a clam. Jim was there at drop off and pick up along with one other girl, although I think it was Jim who groomed my dog. They do grooming Mon-Thu and Saturdays. We will DEFINITELY be going back. The Dog Barn is awful! The boarding is far from adequate and the groomer was using her cell phone.

We've been boarding our two American Bulldogs there for several years, the dogs love going there and are disappointed when they don't go in if I happen to have to drop something off. Jim and his staff are wonderful with the dogs and know them by name. I called to check on the dogs and was very happy to hear that one of the staff was sitting on the couch with our dog cuddled to him -- one of our boy's favorite things to do; that wasn't something I expected to hear, but it does explain why our puppies like to stay there. These folks are as good as they come in my book, and our dog's too! read more

We have boarded my dog here, Jack, multiple times and have had terrible results each time. The first time, he got sores all over his head and they did not tell us until we asked about them, to which they replied they had put medicine on them but didn't tell us what they used. The second time he came back extremely dirty, even after we paid extra for a grooming on the day of pick-up. He also came back that time and was dry heaving and throwing up, we came to find out he had dog bronchitis. He then had a huge bite mark on his ear that scabbed over, and they did not tell us about any interaction between him and any other dogs. The last time was the worst, when my family visited me overseas and he was there for 2 weeks, he was allowed to roam on his own and when he returned home, threw up 3 huge pieces of hard plastic that could have ripped open his stomach. We had told them multiple times to only allow him to play with his own toys because, as labs do, he eats everything. This could have killed my dog and is unacceptable. read more
