It was nice to see that the drop off/pickup area was at the play yard entrance. There is a small holding area for dogs to safely meet and greet other dogs before new arrivals are released to the main area. The play yard is huge and has an obstacle course, pools and offers plenty of shading. When I picked up my dogs they were a part of the general population and seemed happy as their tails were wagging. Paws Bed and Biscuit is a trusted business and I'll definitely continue to board my dogs here.

She comes home exhausted but SO HAPPY! We love that there is low dog to auntie ratio and that there is an auntie there all night long in the room over. They are VERY responsive and understanding. We are very thankful to have found such a wonderful place.

I have had a couple times where Tufts has told me literally the opposite of the vets at Acorn with was a little concerning (in all examples it turned out Tufts was correct, but they don't offer general vet services so we go back and forth). One big pice of advice here - if you have prescriptions/drugs you have to purchase for your pet, DO NOT buy them from Acorn. I made this mistake for too long. One call to Walmart pharmacy (I'm sure it's similar at others too) and I saved over 75% from what I was paying Acorn for the exact same drugs.

They were beyond compassionate. Understood that all his appointments had to be made around his radiation and chemo treatments and overall gave him 110% care. After his passing I finally got a second poodle who is fearful but he loves the ladies there and because of their fear free certification (something I also go to a vet with) I feel safe leaving him. If you want to have your pets in with people that really know how to work with them, and make sure they are cared for, they do that. Our 2 dogs have a shared run inside and out that is just for them. I have a Bernese Mountain Dog tha can not be in a lot of heat, so the shaded runs are appreciated. This is my 3rd set of dogs to come to Northeast (over 20 years) and I like the fact that the same people are still there and remember us.

After a very lengthy phone…read moreconversation with Sheryl (the owner), she invited me to come observe a class to see if it was the right fit for our puppy. Previously, we attended a training class with our puppy elsewhere and I went in for the observation with a preconceived notion that this facility would be the same. I was absolutely blown away!! I immediately signed our puppy up at The Wayward Hound even though we were still enrolled at the other facility. Our class consists of no more than 5 puppies at a time and the training is all hands on training with your puppy. Sheryl and Ronaele are so warm and kind. They go out of their way to make sure everyone is doing the training correctly and they both give fantastic advice. There are always a few laughs during class which is so nice! It makes the training feel less like work and you know everyone surrounding you is experiencing the same things with their puppies. We definitely plan on continuing our training here. People have commented on how well behaved our puppy is and we owe that to Sheryl and Ronaele at The Wayward Hound!

Her training methodology works well--we didn't clicker train, which works for us (I'd never find the thing) and we loved positive reinforcement. Our puppy responded well and we had a nice time. We moved onto Agility and LOVED it. I'd swear our puppy smiled after learning the course! We plan to go back for another class and hope to achieve our Canine Good Citizen. The added benefit was the support Sheryl offered us throughout--she promptly responded to any email questions and all of her recommendations have worked!!!!
