I had been agonizing over where my mini labradoodle Trixie could spend her first couple nights away from home. We were looking for a real home environment with an attentive caretaker and we got that and more with Jody. Pickup and dropoff were a breeze, she even provided a couple care tips, but the highlight was knowing how great a time Trixie had. From nonstop playing with Jody's son to a hike in the Blue Hills, over the course of three days Trixie had the time of her life and was exhausted upon getting home. We got pictures and updates from Jody, not overbearing but plenty for us to feel informed, and seeing Trixie enjoy herself inside a real home, not a kennel, made all the difference. At daycare, Charlie gets to play with a handful of dogs, receives regular human affection from both adults and kids, and has the opportunity to rest when she needs a puppy nap. Unlike most large corporate daycares, Charlie can enjoy both safe play and much needed downtime without being put in a kennel next to barking dogs. This means she comes home happily exhausted but not an overstimulated mess and I know she's getting adequate rest for her rapidly growing puppy body. I can rest easy knowing Jody has extensive experience as a veterinarian nurse who could expertly handle any emergency. It also means Charlie gets nail trims at daycare! Finally, like most pandemic puppies, Charlie and I had spent very little time apart prior to daycare. Any prior attempts I had made to help Charlie with her separation anxiety had been a total failure. However, Jody has supported Charlie (and me) as she has become comfortable and confident away from my side! Charlie happily leads the way up the stairs every morning for daycare and happily greets me every evening. She's still my loyal velcro dog at home, but now she has the confidence that when I leave I am coming back which means she can relax and enjoy our time apart without panic barking and destroying things. I was extremely happy with my pet-sitting experience with Jody. She watched my two cats for three days, and I cannot recommend her enough. My cats can be very skittish around new people, but ventured out to see her when she stopped over for the first time to meet them. She was warm and easy going, and responded very timely to emails. I found Jody through a couple with a lovely Doodle I met walking. I adopted little Hoop at 8 weeks and I was in deep with a very energetic & fast growing puppy, whom my 10 year old dog wasn't so keen to play with. I did puppy kindergarten and Hoop loved to play with other dogs whose age and energy were a match. When I got called back to work full-time on an inflexible 8-4 schedule, I needed help & I contacted Jody and really liked her process for testing the dog group to make sure they all rolled together. She's not far from me and she found Hoop a spot. I definitely preferred her home enviroment and veterinary experience over the larger, mostly indoor day cares in the area. I now take him 2x a week & it is great - he is always tired and seems to get good socialization and has lots of fun with Jody and his dog buds (and my older dog gets a well earned "Hoop break"). Cat Sitting: I can't recommend Jody enough. I'm a little protective when it comes to my cat, Ozzy. I had to leave on a business trip to the UK for 10 days and was so apprehensive about having somebody come in and watch him. I contacted Calling All Paws and within 30 minutes I'd had a message from Jody to discuss my situation and to arrange a time that she could stop by and meet us. She is so kind and it's evident that she loves animals. She sent me a picture or a video of Ozzy on a daily basis to show me he was doing ok. I got home and he looked the same happy cat I'd left 10 days earlier. I would definitely ask Jody to look after Ozzy again and this experience has made vacations/business trips so less stressful. Purely on the basis of her excellent Yelp and Google reviews, I reached out to Jody for dog boarding for my adult/senior dog on fairly short notice when my initial choice was booked. She was prompt and friendly and set us up on a trial away. I warned her my dog has been an escape artist in the past. She suggested we keep my dog on a steel tie out (although her yard is securely fenced, we were just worried about her trying to jump or getting stuck) which helped me feel a lot more comfortable, and reassured me that she took my concern seriously. When I was away, Jody sent me periodic photos, videos and updates which I really appreciated. My dog seemed to have a great time and definitely bonded with Jody. She's had no reservations going back to Jody's for daycare since, which I take as a very positive sign because she can be very timid in new situations. I love the fact that Jody is a vet nurse and also that her place is a well-kept home setting. Her prices are very reasonable and her service is wonderful!! Jody is the best! We have left our now 8 month old labradoodle with Calling all paws multiple times for the past four months since beau was only 4 months old. We have done anywhere from 2 night stays to nearly a week stay and I can't say enough wonderful things about calling all paws.
