He would get very excited when it was time to go to this place. He would whimper as we got him into the car and on the way over, which was less than a mile from our house. The staff was always eager to greet him, and his tail would wag mightily. Sadly, we had to put Huckleberry down when he became quite sick. As I drive by this business now that Huckleberry is not around it makes me think of my beautiful Labrador. We will eventually get another dog, who will not replace huckleberry, but whom we will love very much I know. We will have our new dog have playgroup at HomeTown Pet Resort too. Whatever lovely dog we end up with I know we'll enjoy this establishment just as much as Huckleberry did. We are grateful to have HomeTown Pet Resort nearby to serve any dog that we might be lucky enough to share our lives with.

I dropped off my German Shepherd and not even 10 minutes later they told me I needed to come pick him up, which was funny because he had been to the groomer many times before with no issues but after moving, I needed to find a new one. So after doing tons of research, I found another place nearby with great reviews and what would you know they had no issue with my dog at all. The issue was not my dog. It was their groomers. Not to mention the passive aggressive comment they made when I was picking him up, asking if "he let me brush him at home". He lets everyone brush him and loves to be brushed, but he also is a good judge of character and maybe that was the issue. We though Fae had run away, I texted Kim, and Kim immediately let all the dog walkers who work for her know (Fae was under my Mom's bed). I don't think Dr. Mertz (who seemed very kind) listened to me when I brought my bird in, and described his issues. ... I brought my bird in because he was sick. I told the Dr. it was eating day and night, up all the time, and had the runs. ...losing weight. He prescribed a broad spectrum antibiotic although he didn't see anything alarming under the scope. 2 days later my bird died. I mentioned the eating non-stop again, and he THEN said, "oh, it was probably diabetes, and I couldn't have done anything anyhow" . Well...if he listened, he wouldn't have gone with antibiotics 2 days earlier. and there is treatment for diabetic birds. so,...I said goodbye, and buried my beautiful boy.
