Stone Dog Inn takes such good care of our baby Brooklyn! We drive a 45 minutes to take our dog to SDI because its 100% worth it. She loves the aunties and loves the dogs they've accepted into their program. We worry about her constantly regardless but knowing she is taken such good care of eases some of that worry. She comes home exhausted but SO HAPPY! We love that there is low dog to auntie ratio and that there is an auntie there all night long in the room over. They are VERY responsive and understanding. We love Stone Dog Inn to the moon and back! We found SDI several years ago, when our young and exuberant golden retriever needed more playtime with other dogs. Enter Nikki and her fabulous team of Aunties, and our life has never been the same. Our dog Harper would start whining eagerly when we got close to SDI, and then once we arrived, she would jump out of the car and never look back! It is hard to list everything that we love about SDI, but here goes... The booking process is easy, and you can choose different treats and options to customize your dog's stay. The facility is clean, has lots of interesting play structures and is very safe. SDI posts photos of your dog, and it brought us so much comfort to see Harper playing, eating treats, and snuggling at bedtime. And the other dogs are awesome! In all the years Harper went (typically one week every month), there was never an issue with another dog. Nikki curates a fantastic pack. And then there is Nikki (owner) and the Aunties (her wonderful team). These are some of the best people I've had the pleasure to get to know and they all care deeply about the dogs and their owners. The attention that each dog receives, and the kindness of everyone who works there, adds up to an unparalleled experience. This place is like Disney the most magical place on earth but for dogs. The auntie to dog ratio is small for a very personalized experience. Specialty organic homemade treats, they celebrate your dogs birthday and holidays with "pawties". They post pictures of your dog on Instagram for you to see all day. I drive a little over 20 minutes to get there, wish I could go more. My family loves Stone Dog Inn! We got our dog 1 year ago through their adoption program and we now bring her at least 1 day per week for doggy daycare. She gets so excited when we arrive and she is completely tired when we pick her up. She enjoys a full day of activity filled with playing. I'm writing this review now specifically because I wanted to share a recent (1.5 weeks ago) experience with Stone Dog Inn. We used a local dog sitter (friend instead of Stone Dog Inn) for a weekend trip. Our dog ran away from the sitter when they opened the front door to let somebody into their home, in a neighborhood that was unknown to her, far from our own home. The owner of Stone Dog Inn showed up with a friend and 2 dogs very quickly and they split up and walked all around the sitter's neighborhood, while I searched backyards with neighbors. In the end, the team from Stone Dog Inn found our dog and got her back for us. We already loved Stone Dog Inn before this, so you can imagine our feelings about them now! read more

I don't have enough words to express how thankful we are for Stone Dog Inn and all of the wonderful Aunties who work there. Before finding Stone Dog a few years ago, we had never had a place where we felt comfortable leaving Sonny, the sweetest most loving boy. All we wanted was somewhere we knew he would be well cared for, loved and for us to not have to worry if he was happy when away from us. Since day 1, Nikki made us feel at ease and shows us every day we drop Sonny off and pick him up, that he is loved and so well cared for. We recently boarded Sonny over the 4th of July, and the poor guy had a hot spot and ear infection. All of the ladies, especially Nikki, Aughtum, Maggie and Catherine, went above and beyond to give Sonbun the best care - just as we would if he was at home! They go out of their way to make your dog feel at home and loved, and the women who work there are just amazing and show such warmth to the dogs. I also appreciate the somewhat intensive approval process - as an owner of two small dogs it gives me assurance that my dogs are safe in a free roam environment. Before finding Stone Dog Inn, we had been sending our first fur baby to a daycare that utilized kennels throughout the day. He HATED it. We tried out Stone Dog Inn because of their kennel free environment and we haven't looked back in 9 years. The Aunties love our pups, past and present, like their own. The dogs both get/got so excited when we pull into the driveway with happy whines and wiggle butts. We attend camp one day a week and have boarded with them numerous times (at least 3 times a year over 9 years). We can go away and relax knowing that our fur baby is getting great care. Very pleased, as always, with my babies' stay here the past week. My girls are little and one is elderly. The care they received was top notch with the Inn Keeper option. I could bring their own pillows and blankets, and all the caregivers are so loving and fully capable of feeding multiple dogs their multiple diets, supplements, etc. I got lots of photos while I was away of my girls hanging out, comfy cozy and being loved. Stone Dog Inn is the most amazing place to board your dog or bring for doggie daycare! We are so happy we found them, and our now almost 4 year old lab Lexi has been going there for 3 years. The staff (aunties) treat your dog like their own. You will always find great updates to their days on social media. Not sure what to think about it. I've boarded my 2 dogs here a few times and I wasn't impressed . Went through the whole meet & greet and 1/2 day care. It appears that they screen their pack members thoroughly. The cage free areas and play areas look wonderful. The pictures on Instagram look professional . However, I feel that this is all superficial. There isn't enough substance to this place . When I boarded my 2 dogs here for 10 days , I did not get 1 update from them. Not 1. No pictures, no 'hey, everything is fine'. I think they take on too many clients and isn't so good at keeping track on whose who. read more

Henry absolutely loves his time at camp! He gets excited at the mention of "camp"! Henry attends day camp a few days per week and stays for overnights throughout the year. I can't say enough wonderful things about the care he receives there. The staff are great and always greet us when we drop Henry off and when we pick him up to update us on his day or stay. This is the BEST place to bring your dog, whether for daycare or overnight stays. They love animals; they aren't kept in cages, they have fairly free range in the fenced in areas and in the loft. If you dogs likes to be crated, they have an area for crates but if your dog, like my dog, hates crates, they have couches and chairs for the dogs with animal planet on 24/7. They have lounge chairs outside for the dogs to hang, a wonderful grooming facility. It's like a spa for dogs. My dog has been going for almost 8 years and he loves it there. We recently just found the Stone Dog Inn and so far they have been outstanding. It is never easy leaving our babies (2 frenchies) but it puts our minds at ease knowing the care they are receiving is like being at home. Their approach to boarding is superb. We were going on a weeklong trip and our usual dog watcher was suddenly unavailable. We searched high and low for a cage free boarding solution for our dog. This place has exceeded every possible expectation and we will never send our dog anywhere else. We are able to enjoy our vacations so much more knowing that our dog is having more fun than she does when she's at home. Nikki is just wonderful and so committed to the animals left in her care- she loves our dog as much as we do and we are so thankful that we found her. I am very disappointed to leave this review. I brought my hound mix, Presley to Stone Dog Inn 4 times for daycare. It was love at first sight for me. Beautiful grounds, and Karen was amazing. I brought him in for a meet and greet and she introduced him to dogs she thought he would get along with and immediately approved him as a camper. I let them know from day one he has puppy energy and needs to be grouped accordingly. I brought him that week, and they posted the cutest pictures of him playing and having fun. I was thrilled. My boyfriend picked him up that night, and the staff member on duty (not Karen) let my him know there was an altercation with another dog. He asked for details and she said "not a worry, I'm sure it was just stress from the first day, but he growled at a dog as I was switching groups". I thought it was odd to report a growl that had nothing come with it, but appreciated them being thorough. Week 2, I picked Presley up and Karen let me know that there was another incident on her lunch break while another staff member, Alana, was on duty. She did not know details, but let me know she did not think it should have been reported. I started to get concerned about the grouping of the dogs. She let me know it was quick to be reported and unfortunately is considered a strike even though it really should not have been. I debated bringing him back, but decided to the next week. That week, I met Alana myself and she raved about how great Presley was. I asked her to please explain what Presley is doing to get reported. She gave me a run around, told me not to worry about it, and he is just a normal puppy. Week 4, (yesterday), I picked Presley up and Alana told me he is no longer welcome. I asked, for the third time now, to PLEASE explain what he did/does so i can avoid this in the future. She had absolutely no concrete story. I asked if there were injuries, aggression, any information would help. All she told me is that another dog jumped on his back and they proceeded to play roughly. I asked what made her conclude it wasn't just playing and she said she did not know. In conclusion, Karen is wonderful, and the grounds are beautiful, but there are some issues in dog grouping. they are almost double the price of other facilities in the area, so I would expect the staff would be trained to group dogs accordingly by size, temperament, etc. And most of all, if you are told your dog is no longer welcome, I would expect a full report as to why. THREE times I was told there was an incident, and I still have no idea what actually occurred. I am giving three stars because for the right dogs this is a great place, but if your dog is a puppy and has high energy they seem to have a hard time handling that. read more

I was very excited to send my dog to the stone dog inn. I went for a meet and greet and both me and her loved it! They focus on smaller groups of dogs And more personal care, Which my active, loving lab needs. I explained that she is very active and playful with other dogs and she is currently in training. They said they can help with all of this and it wouldn't be a problem. Half way through her first day they called to tell me I have to come get her becuase she is being too active with the older dogs (separate the age groups?) they also said she was playing in the water bowl ( she's a lab she loves water ?) and she had a hard time settling in ( it was her first day somewhere new) they said I need to come and get her and she can not come back. I left my job in the middle of the day to get her. I thought I was sending my dog somewhere that she would be cared for and accepted. Karen was Awesome and the environment is great but I felt pretty offended by the staff member who told me she can not go there. If you have a puppy , this is not a good place for them, they didn't seem to know how to handle it. read more
