We discovered Stone Dog this past year when we were looking for a good place to send our Bernadoodle, Carly for fun and socialization with other dogs. We tried a few other places before finding Stone Dog and I can tell you there really is no other place I would take Carly. Stone Dog is truly a doggie day camp where this is plenty of play, social interaction, lots of attention, and a big yard area for the dogs to run free. This place is the cleanest and most maintained doggie daycare I have ever seen, and the staff is absolutely amazing. They are so attentive and take some amazing pictures of your pup while at play so you can see just how much fun they are having. They truly go above and beyond with all of the special activities they plan throughout the year for the dogs. From themed parties to special treats and birthday celebrations, they do it all which shows how much they really care about the dogs. This definitely isn't a run of the mill "pack them in" doggie daycare as they ensure they are fully staffed to support the number of dogs they take in each day and the staff actually interact with the dogs which is not typical at most doggie daycares we previously tried. We recently went on vacation, and I can honestly say it was a huge relief to have her in good hands while we were away. Carly loses her mind with excitement the moment we pull down the street, so that always makes me feel good when I drop her off. The entire staff has been wonderful and super friendly, but Aughtum has recently gone out of her way to make sure Carly was able to participate in the Halloween festivities. Carly has some food sensitivities and Aughtum sent me the ingredients for the special treats they were giving out that day to ensure it was okay for Carly to have them. I am happy to report she was able to fully participate in all of the activities, including a costume which they so graciously let her wear for the pictures. I first heard about Stone Dog Inn from my dog friends at our local bogs in Duxbury. They raved about their cage-free boarding and said they wouldn't leave their dogs anywhere else when they traveled. They inspired me to fill out the application on their website, schedule Cali for an overnight test visit, and see the facility for myself. From the second I pulled into the driveway I was sold. Nikki greeted us with her infectious personality, gave us the full tour, and answered all of our questions. Cali even got to sleep in the innkeeper's suite. How cool is that?! The overnight visit went so well we signed Cali up for grooming so the staff could get to know her and she would be comfortable when we could finally plan a trip. We finally took the vacation and left Cali there for ten nights. It far exceeded our expectations. She was never alone, got to play with other dogs all day, got treats, and got to sleep with the innkeeper at night. It was such a comfort knowing she was being so well loved and cared for while we were away. They also posted TONS of photos of Cali to their Instagram so we got to see what she was up to throughout our trip. It brought an added level of comfort that helped us relax and enjoy our time away. In addition, whenever I needed to write to them about something they wrote right back to me. I was extremely impressed by their attentiveness. Since Cali was born 8 years ago we've searched far and wide to find the perfect place to leave her when we go away. We've taken her back to her breeder in Maine and even used our neighbor, but she has a full-time job and can't give Cali the attention she needs. Nothing was quite right until we found Stone Dog Inn. It's perfect in every way. Nikki and her staff are awesome. They love Cali and always look forward to time with her. I couldn't have asked for a better situation and I cannot recommend Stone Dog Inn highly enough. I've even told all my friends to check it out. That's how much I love this place! read more

Some said I was crazy to drive 60 miles round trip to Stone Dog Inn for day camp once a week for my dog Bo, but all I can say is that there is no better home away from home for your pet! Believe me, I tried to find one, but after checking out several other day care/boarding establishments (all of which are much more conveniently located for me), I'm here to tell you that SDI is a VERY special place. From the first time I took Bo for day camp four years ago (and it was not a perfect start...he's a rescue and came to us with some anxiety issues), the staff at Stone Dog treated him with compassion, patience, and love. They have played a major role in helping him develop into the relaxed, social, and loving boy he is today. Nikki sets such a positive tone for all of her employees, each one is lovely and clearly happy to be at SDI surrounded every day by so many different dogs. The facility is amazing: clean - SO clean! - and generous in size, filled with beds for lounging, toys for tugging, and all the slides and playhouses and log cabins a dog could dream of. Bo doesn't go weekly for day camp any longer (the traffic finally got the best of us), but he goes frequently for overnights. He sleeps the whole way down but as soon as we turn onto Plain Street, his head pops up and he's looking out the front window - he knows where he is! I barely have time to turn off the car before he's out the door and waiting at the gate for one of "his girls" to let him in. You will not find a cleaner, better managed, or more loving place for your dog than Stone Dog Inn! read more

I have been taking my miniature schnauzer, Sadie, here for over a year now, for an occasional weekend away and for grooming. I would never want to bring her anywhere else! The staff is so friendly and it is obvious that they work here because they love dogs, it's not just a job like staff at some other places I have seen. The facility and grounds are beautiful and comfortable, very homey! If you are bringing a dog here, they do have to be well socialized because they are surrounded by dogs of all different shapes and sizes throughout the day. I was actually referred here by someone who was told not to bring their dog back because they were a bit too aggressive. It makes me very comfortable that they are putting the safety of the dogs first. That is how it has to be if you would prefer a facility where your dog gets treated like they would at home. As far as grooming, Christina works one on one and takes her time with my Sadie. She does a great job and is very passionate about what she does! I always get a detailed report on how my pup did. I have never once when unhappy with any part of my experience here. And I have a pretty spoiled pup ;) so I can be picky. I could go on and on, but I will leave it at this. Two thumbs up! read more

Our Frenchie Vegas has been part of the Stone Dog Inn Family for a little over 3 years and we are so grateful. The care, love and attention that Vegas receives is unprecedented. When I say that Stone Dog Inn is the Disney for dogs, I mean that! Vegas attends Doggie Day Care or "Camp" at least once a week, he stays over whenever my husband and I go away ( I can't call it boarding because it is so much more than that) and the grooming is spectacular. We were away the week of the 4th of July and Vegas got to stay over at SDI for 6 nights - the updates, the pictures, the action shots, he never missed us or being home. In addition to the phenomenal care and love SDI gives to their fur family they are also really involved in helping and fostering, they run fundraisers for WE LOVE SATOS and Bernese Mountain Dog Club of the Finger Lakes to name just 2 off the top of my head. They are also always reposting stories and links form the MSPCA-Angell. I can not say enough positive, wonderful, amazing and caring words to describe this slice of heaven that Stone Dog Inn has created for its fur families. read more

My 9-month old Aussiedoodle simply thrives at Stone Dog Inn! She loves the Aunties and all her fur friends. Their team's attention to detail in the care of my pet is priceless -- whether it be surrounding her routine, meals, safety, etc. They have taken extra steps to make her feel comfortable and reassured (thunder storms are scary!) and offer us paw parents special treats, activities and hygiene options to elevate our pets' stay. All while they share the day with us through adorable photos. They are incredibly thoughtful regarding what my dog may need -- as well as how she or other dogs may impact each other's day. This is so important! They are uber attentive and communicative with me via email & phone every time I reach out to book or with questions. The SDI crew puts me at ease whenever I leave her, they treat my dog like a part of their family. I cannot recommend Stone Dog Inn more emphatically. One of the main realizations in bringing your dog to a daycare is the fact that, invariably, they come back a little dusty or dingy; even if the daycare excels in taking care of your dog. Not so here. What struck me at my introduction was how impeccably clean it is everywhere. Getting my pooch back at the end of the day in such close condition as to when I dropped him off, I've learned, is a bit of a miracle in doggy daycare. What a pleasing & pleasant surprise when I picked up my boy after his first day. For me, it's natural to conclude that when such care is taken on the cleanliness & hygiene end, for sure that sort of conscientiousness & attention to detail exists in so many other positive and important ways; and is so very telling. Stone Dog Inn is the best place to bring your dog whether it is for daycare or an overnight stay. We started coming here in February when we moved to the area and I have nothing but amazing things to stay about them! I am always saving photos from their Instagram posts of my dog playing with his friends. I know each time we drop him off he is in the best hands. We recently got married and were nervous to send our dog to stay here, as he has only every stayed with our family. Everyone helped make us feel at ease and even sent us the most adorable photo of our puppy for our wedding saying "My pawrents are married", I don't know how they got him to pose with a bow tie and hat on, but this photo is definitely getting framed! The Stone Dog Inn is a tranquil place for both pet and owner. The owner, Nikki Ribeiro is a close friend of mine. She opened her business officially within the last 6 months. Her expertise and experience in animal care is second to none. When it comes to the care of my own pets, friendship or not, their best interest comes first. Nikki is the only person whom my dog will walk away with without looking back... I know when I leave him in her care, that he is supervised and entertained 24/7. He is enjoying nature walks, day care and even gets to share the bed at night! Nikki is fabulous. I go to her for advice in care and in training. WOW - what a great place!! We have a 6 yr. old Cocker Spaniel and a 2 two yr. old Greater Swiss Mountain dog. We recently dropped them off for a few overnights at Stone Dog Inn. Our energetic Swissy came back totally exhausted from all of her playtime with the other guests at the inn. The facilities are spacious and really clean! We make the nearly hour-long ride from Boston to send our dogs there. We feel strongly about dogs having the opportunity to be outside and wouldn't want to send our dogs to an indoor play place or kennel. The staff was super nice and very accommodating. When I picked the dogs up, it was pretty evident after only a few dogs that the staff really got to know our dogs' personalities - this is indicative of the attention the staff is giving to the pups! I will only send my dogs to Stone Dog Inn in the future! read more

I have been bringing my German Shepard, Diesel, here for over 6 years and couldn't imagine going anywhere else. Many people would look at him and assume he must be aggressive due to his size and breed which is so not true. I honestly feel that his time there as a weekly "camper" is a part of his wonderful temperament with other dogs and people. They truly treat you like family and I 100% trust everyone there. He socializes with all sizes and breeds of dogs and I have never been told of any issues. He "runs" to them when I drop him off which shows how much he truly loves being there. I have and would continue to recommend them to anyone looking for someplace special to bring their dogs where they are treated like part of the family, not just another boarder/day camper. read more

We have a George, he is playfull, energtic, and gets along with everyone. I brought him to a kennel in Mansfield for boarding, the first time in he left me willingly. I picked him up 2 days later and could not leave fast enough. Brought him back 2 weeks later and he would not get out of my car. Found Stone Dog and he knows how to get there. If I stop for coffee on the way he gets mad, he can't wait to go play and comes home and sleeps for 2 days. My wife loves watching the vidio feeds while we are away and it keeps her calm while we are away from our latest child. Nikki has established a great company, and has a great staff behind her. I just want to start by saying that I am so impressed by the care and love that the Aunties provide my very large Golden. He is always super excited when we get close because he knows that he will be having a great time. Stone dog is amazing. It is clean and everyone is super focused on the dogs needs. I can't say enough about such a special place. It doesn't matter if day camp or overnight stays my pup is always well cared for and super happy. Our pup absolutely loves his camp days at Stone Dog Inn, and most recently his overnight stay! As soon as we pull up to camp, he knows he has a full day ahead filled with fun, activities, treats and friends - he runs out of the car, through the gate and patiently waits to be able to join his friends. So much so, that he doesn't even turn around to say goodbye to me... a clear indication that he loves Stone Dog Inn! My mind is at ease when he is at camp, where he is well taken care of, loved and spoiled, just like he is at home. There are not enough words to explain how much me and my pup love this place. From our first meet and greet we both felt welcome. They treat my dog like their own. Benny has so much fun and comes home exhausted. Benny loves his weekly visit there, he starts crying to get out of the car when we pull in the driveway. The staff takes amazing pictures during they day and post them online for the owners to see. They also sends cards with Benny's pic when there is a holiday. You'll never experience a place for your dog like this. It's Disney for dogs. Play houses, pools, slides, personalized care in a caring, homey setting. I drive over 20 minutes to bring my dog there. I spent a lot of time visiting places for daycare and for boarding. I never experienced anything like Stone Dog nor did I feel comfortable at any other facility and wasn't happy with some things I saw. Do yourself a favor and just look at their Facebook and Instagram. It's better than any place you bring your child. Birthday parties, holiday parties, bone broth lattes and popsicles. Try to beat this place, you won't. read more

Stone Dog Inn is by far the best doggy day care and boarding option around. They take amazing care of your dogs, truly as if they were their own. We always send our dog there for daycare or whenever we are away and are confident he is in the best hands. Our pup recently stayed a week while we were away and he had some tummy issues, they went above and beyond for him (making him special food, getting him checked with their in house vet, and providing daily updates). They even gave him a bath so he was nice and clean when we picked him up. Nikki and her team are amazing, we are SO thankful they are around! read more

This place is awesome for dogs. It is 45 minutes from my house, but we still make the drive down to board our Bernese Mountain Dog. They do not use crates which is why we LOVE it. Berners do not like crates, they like people this place is perfect. They play all day, and get icecream treats too! The only con I can think of is they do not allow you to drop off the evening or afternoon before. So if you want to leave for vacation Friday morning, you can not drop off Thursday evening, which is sort of a bummer. Also they have AC for the dogs in the hot summer. Stone Dog Inn and Spaw is the best place to board your dog, I feel blessed that it was referred to me by my neighbor. The staff treats your dog like family, so loving and kind! My dog is so excited to go each time, she runs in when we drop her off and doesn't look back! Our dog is exhausted when we pick her up which is great! The dogs aren't caged ever and are free to go outside or inside anytime they want and the conditions are so comfortable and clean for them!
