I explained that the technician must arrive prepared to assess and treat in ONE appointment. I specified that he must move appliances, stuff gaps with steel wool, get under radiator covers and plug holes with foam-- no more but no less than that. Pest pro was the third place I called and the only place that was willing to meet my requirements of coming prepared to plug up and treat. The other two places said they needed to do an assessment which in my experience can mean just forcing you to pay and stay home all day twice instead of once. The person who showed up was new to the job but came prepared as requested and did a great job. They plugged behind my stove, placed traps behind my fridge, plugged under several radiators, and left glue traps out. In the end a wooden trap that I placed caught the mouse and I haven't seen another since. I'm pretty certain that the kitchen mice were coming in behind the stove which pest pro mouse-proofed well. It was $325 in the end but it only took one appointment and the problem is totally solved so I would use them again, though I don't think I'll have to because they really sealed up the place and recommended some follow ups which I can do myself for larger holes that they couldn't handle wit steel wool and foam.

TLDR: Like many other reviews here, we did not end up using Rich's services because he told us we did not actually need them. We were being swindled by other bed bug services telling us we had an infestation, and Rich helped us realize we were bed bug free even though it meant losing our business. After noticing a few bites, we had a canine inspection from a provider of our building's choice. The inspection was positive, ruling that we had bed bugs. However, the inspection lasted less than 10 minutes and the canine handler didn't attempt any visual inspection of the areas that the dog alerted. We then reached out to Rich to help us prep for treatment. He insisted on an in-person assessment before accepting the job. When he visited our apartment, he visually inspected all areas where the canine had alerted. Since he did not see any visual evidence of bed bugs, he informed us that he was skeptical of any infestation and recommended that we get a second canine inspection before proceeding with treatment. He connected us with his trusted colleague John Downey at Pest Pro Inc. who arranged for Eric Miller to come do a second canine inspection. Eric and his canine came and performed an inspection lasting 40 minutes. Eric's dog never alerted after being taken around the entire apartment multiple times. Eric also performed a thorough visual inspection, completely taking apart our couch and bed to do so.
