I found a bug's exoskeleton on my dog's tail and immediately jumped to conclusions especially since I had gotten a few unidentified bug bites while asleep and all of this was exacerbated with all the recent news about bed bug infestations. I immediately started tearing apart my bedroom on the hunt for more evidence before my friend sent me a link to Jon's Yelp page and encouraged me to take it one step at a time and get confirmation that I had a bed bug problem before going nuclear. The fear of bed bugs is real. And for someone who's heard horror stories but never actually encountered a bed bug... it's easy to jump to conclusions. Well, I jumped to conclusions. I spent about 3 hours panicking, googling, and sanitizing my bedroom. I had video footage of the supposed bed bug, and I was convinced. Jon came to the rescue. I called, left a voicemail, and received a phone call back in about 3min. I was able to text him the video I took, and he reported back to me that it was NOT in fact a bed bug. I am so thankful to Jon and Sway. My spouse and I had been getting occasional bites for some time, but we kept thinking that they were mosquito bites. I would never hope to recommend this type of service to anyone but god forbid I do, then I would recco this guy (points to Jon and daisy). Had a few friends come over, one of whom had BBs but never told us. My gf found out from other people about our infested friends and became livid and paranoid. I called Bed Bug Inspection group because a friend used them when she had what turned out to be bird mites. Unfortunately for me I wasn't so lucky. While on vacation I wrongly brushed off my bites as mosquito bites and apparently brought the suckers home. I finally decided to call an inspector after getting numerous bites. I had my bedroom and roommate's room inspected. Their dog signaled on the mattress and my closet (where my luggage was) but my roommate's room was fine. To further confirm the presence of bugs, a visual inspection was done and I was shown evidence of dark black spots on my relatively new mattress. I told them how I probably got it and they advised me to always check the mattress for these spots whenever I go on vacation - even if it's a fancy 5 star hotel, you never know!! read more

If you're reading this debating if you should hire this company. DONT HESITATION FOR A SINGLE SECOND. Let me start out by saying I have a HUGE bed bug phobia. Huge. I have all white sheets (which I change weekly upon my own visual inspection) a mattress encasement, bed bug trappers on all my furniture and the like. I know their different stages, their patterns, etc. I cross the street when I see a mattress on the sidewalk. I'm insane. I know. So when I woke up with a couple mysterious bites that looked even remotely possibly maybe like bed bug bites, like all rationally-minded people I freaked the fuck out. I had used a different dog sniffing company a while back upon moving to my new apartment (just to be sure) and I felt like the whole process was rushed and not very thorough. He simply walked the dog around my apartment without moving anything and then said "you're clear". Not Jonathan. Most professional encounter I've ever had. My boyfriend called him at 8:30am and he was at our door by 10am. He pulled our bed apart, checked each individual slat. He even folded our sheets upon removing them to check the mattress. He took pictures off the walls, pulled apart our pull out couch, went through our closets. Making sure that he asked if we were ok with him moving and touching things along the way. He checked every pillow. EVERYTHING. and he wore booties as to not track dirt. I was so impressed. He told us he saw no signs of any bedbugs whatsoever but that the dog still needed to do its work because sometimes she can be more thorough. When he took the dog out she immediately went to work. The previous company had to point to exactly where it wanted the dog to check. Not "sway". Jonathan walked her around our apartment and she sniffed EVERYTHING on her own. He put her back in the cage and said he's going to reassemble the apartment (he took EVERYTHING apart remember?) and have her sniff again. Sway did another inspection of the apartment and still no signs bedbugs (thank the lord). He said the few bites I got could be a spider (probably) or even aggressive mosquitos. If his work can assure ME of all people that my apartment is actually beg bug free, he is a miracle worker. And he did exactly that. I feel so confident in his work and his inspection. I wouldn't wish bed bugs on my worst enemy, but I'd send friends and enemies alike to BBIG. Jon picked up the phone on the first ring and offered to be at my place the next day. He was right on time, wonderfully polite and personable, and wildly conscientious of my space and belongings. He even put little sanitary booties over his shoes. He went over my bed very carefully, inspecting sheets, pillowcases, and blankets with an eagle eye and then folding everything with hospital-corner precision while asking me questions about when and where I'd been bitten, etc. After flipping up the mattress and examining the box spring he informed me that we did, in fact, have bedbugs (SEE, HUSBAND? I'M NOT CRAZY), and showed me how to tell the difference between bedbug droppings (ewwwww) and regular dirt. Even though the visual inspection confirmed my suspicious, he still let Daisy out of her crate and had her check out our apartment. Naturally, she freaked the f*** out when she got to our mattress, as well as our couch and the coat closet (Jonathan said that was maybe because we had bugs in our vacuum cleaner, which we keep there). Fortunately we were already planning to move in a couple of weeks and had heard about the truck fumigation service. Jon confirmed that we were using the right one and told me to book it independently instead of through our movers to save money. We hired BBIG after reading the reviews on yelp, and we couldn't have been happier with the results. Jon and his beagle, Daisy came by the next day. First, Jon did a manual visual inspection, and then he brought Daisy in to do her job. Thankfully, none of the little creatures were found, but since we had found one in our house the day before, caught it and froze it so Jon could confirm it was, on fact a BB, Jon offered to come back and do a second inspection in two weeks. I didn't necessarily think I had a "bed bug issue" but I had unidentifiable bites/rash so a friend suggested I check for bedbugs as I travel a good deal. Jonathan was extremely responsive and courteous. He came to my apartment the next day after explaining his process, pricing, etc. He arrived with his adorable dog sequestered in her travel case. Jon is incredibly neat, calm and patient. He explains every step of the inspection. I was shocked at how long he spent checking just my room/bed for bugs. Luckily for me he's quite strong and he willingly took my very plush queen mattress and box spring off the frame in order to check every crevice. I prepared for his inspection by taking the duvets off the beds but I think I should have vacuumed! I was shocked to see how much dust had accumulated within the bed frame itself and under the bed but luckily...other than dust, Jonathan gave my room, bed and entire apartment a clean bill of health based upon his thorough visual inspection.
