My second floor tenant had a roach treatment about 1 year ago. Recently the tenant thought she need another treatment. A technician came to apply a first treatment about one month ago to second and third floor apartments. Last week a technician came to do a second (free) treatment for the two apartments if it was needed within 30 days. The technician sprayed inside the kitchen cabinets, around the cabinets and different places near there were water sources. The second floor tenant had two young daughters with her and she probably didn't pay much attention where he was spraying. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The technician asked both my sister and the second floor tenant where else they wanted him to spray.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Maybe the technician should have told the second floor tenant where he did spray before asking where she wanted him to spray. Both my sister and the second floor tenant thought about 10 minutes to complete each apartment was rather quick. I love that you are able to communicate and request a quote via Yelp. Read the reviews, saw it was also close to my home, so I decided to try their services. They were able to come to my home the same week and come earlier than expected. I am happy the service man was patient with me because I was busy and talking really fast. However, he understood and got right to work. So far, I am happy with the services with no issues at the time of my writing this review. Also, the price seemed reasonable for the service provided, and they also allow 30 days if the issue to continue to contact them to return and re-address the issue. I am very happy. I'm extremely pleased with the services provided by Top Notch. They've relieved so much of my anxiety in being of my apartment during our roach infestation. The technicians are efficient, extremely friendly, and very knowledgable/helpful with any questions you have. They've made several recommendations and are very thorough (but also super fast!). The services are priced fairly all things considered. They showed up the same day just two days ago within less than an hour of me calling for our follow up. We're now paying just over $100 (around $35 each split between three roommates) for services monthly, for our 3-bedroom (focus on bathroom, kitchen, and basement which has two rooms) which is a worthwhile investment considering the amount of roaches we were seeing. Highly recommend them to everyone! Can't say about other pest issues, but for eliminating cockroaches they are wonderful! Not only does it work, but I trust the products they're using that are green and much safer to pets (my biggest concern has been my two cats that are curious, but services have not been an issue by keeping them in my room while areas are being sprayed and are wet with the spray still). read more

As I read the reviews on yelp, their response to move a dead rat from my property was very quick. First point of phone contact, Chris, is very bright, cheerful and helpful. She reassured me that someone would come in s short time frame and call before they arrived. Andrew, called and said he was on the way. He removed the dead rat efficiently. Note: Make sure they properly dispose of or take with them to dispose anything dead they remove. A little pricey at $125 plus tax but i was extremely relieved that i didnt have to do it. read more

My elderly father had a bedbug problem in his apartment and I hired Top Notch to do a treatment. They sprayed two times, two weeks apart, as is customary. After the first treatment, my father still got bedbug bites and saw live bugs, but had hoped that the second treatment would solve the problem. Unfortunately, about three weeks after the second treatment, my father woke up to more bites. We were still under the 60-day warranty period, so the company sent out the tech two days later and sprayed a third time. My father is 87 years old and each treatment required extensive preparation and clear up, and was very trying and difficult for him, even with help, not to mention the discomfort of continuing to be bitten. We followed the prep requirements as closely as possible, clearing out all drawers and closets, washing/drying all clothing, linens, towels, and anything fabric in hot, vacuuming all carpets/floors, moving furniture away from the walls, encasing the mattresses in covers, etc. Still, less than two weeks after the third treatment, my father woke to more bites and we discovered more bedbugs. At that point, we lost faith in the company's treatment. It did not seem to kill either the bugs and/or their eggs well enough to eradicate the problem. We finally decided to replace the mattresses and boxsprings, which was a major expense. We had hoped to avoid doing this by hiring and paying for professional extermination services, which turned out for us to be a wasted of money. I left a message for Larry, the owner, and he called me back. He told me that they had started with a "green" product and maybe it's time to use something stronger. I asked why he had not informed me that they were using a green product and not the strongest product available even after the second treatment, but he said that was their standard procedure. If Top Notch uses green products that's fine, but say so up front so customers can decide for themselves what products they want used. Larry said he used the green products especially for my elderly father, but that's a choice WE should make, not him. His attitude when I spoke to him was lackadaisical, telling me it was a process, but who wants to slowly, gradually kill bedbugs over weeks and weeks, having to spray multiple times?? My father was suffering and feeling helpless and I had to hear how upset he was each morning when he woke with more bites. Larry offered to come out and spray a fourth time with a different chemical, but my father had had enough. He didn't want to go through the ordeal again and I didn't blame him. Had I known that Top Notch was using a mild product to begin with, I would have requested the strongest treatment available from the start but surely after the second treatment OR have hired a different company willing to do so. By not giving me this information or option, my father suffered through many more weeks of bites and stress than he should have. I don't like writing negative reviews of small businesses, but I'm hoping this saves some other family from making a costly, frustrating, and ultimately ineffective choice. My new exterminator spent 9 hours throughly checking for any entry point, and using copper mesh, cement, drilling, and foam in some places to treat rodent infestation.
