Robert, the technician, came out to my place twice, once for the initial treatment and again for a follow-up. After the follow-up, the activity had gone down so much, more than I expected. Additionally, Robert provided great tips for prevention, was pleasant to talk with, and made a stressful situation much easier to go through. Don talked my husband through some steps we could take to try and plug any holes and fix the issue on our own if we wanted to but after finding a few more bugs we decided to make an appointment to have professionals help. Lauren stopped by, did a thorough check of our whole apartment, and ended up calling in someone else to bring additional materials to help ensure our problems were solved. Both she and her husband (it's a family business!) did a great job explaining what they were doing, what they were using, and answer any questions we had. The traps they leave behind and poison they use are childproof and pet safe, and also placed in ways to limit chances of small kids or pets to even get to them. Their fee was incredibly reasonable, they're communicative, and I finally feel like I can sleep a little easier. They'll be coming back to check-in in a few weeks to make sure there are no new signs of anything and discuss any next steps as needed but we are feeling optimistic and taken care of by friendly, reasonable professionals. Ray got us patched up and applied rat poison under the appliances, and near the the holes he caulked up. He even came back a week later to pick up the corpse because my mum and I were too scared! After reading other 5-star reviews for Northeastern Exterminating, I decided to give them a call, and I'm glad I did. I explained my issue to Joe, who worked to calm my nerves about this situation and thoroughly explained everything that would occur with his company's home inspection, to be performed by his son, James. I wanted an appointment ASAP, and although Joe could only offer me an appointment for several days later, he assured me that he would keep my number at the ready just in case they had a cancellation. The night before my inspection, I received a text message from James confirming the time he would arrive, the price that was agreed upon, and simple instructions for how to prep for the inspection. The next morning, I received another text about an hour before the scheduled time to pinpoint the exact time he would be arriving - which is insanely helpful and courteous. Upon arrival, right on time, James asked me about my situation and immediately got to work performing a thorough and comprehensive inspection of the three bedrooms in my house, from floor to ceiling. The bed, box springs, bed frames, baseboards, etc. everything was carefully inspected while he explained what he was doing, what he was looking for, and even what I could do in the future to put my mind at ease. WOW, what a great company!…read more Due to construction in my building, we had a rambunctious population of mice who boldly chewed through the steel wool used to keep them out. The professionals from District Rodent Authority came in and did a full inspection of our apartment -- behind every appliance, inside closets, places we would not even think to look. They sealed off all entry points and put down bait stations, and advised us how to deal with things like pet food storage (sturdy plastic container, no bags!) and before long, I stopped having to emit blood-curdling screams at seeing a mouse race across our kitchen floor in the middle of the night. after 6 months, we saw a mouse, called DRA back, and they promptly sent Saeed, who like all his colleagues was super prompt, professional, and sealed up a hole a mouse had re-opened behind our dishwasher. NYC mice are aggressive but fortunately, District Rodent Authority is up to the challenge. Nice to know they honor their 1-year guarantee!

In keeping up with the times, they have added an additional treatment along with Aprehend to make the extermination even more effective. The matter was taken care of in a few hours, and I am so grateful. With the method they use I didn't have to put all my clothes in bags and only had to do my dirty laundry, which alleviates some of the stress from the situation. I was worried about spraying the ants because I have a young puppy, but Alphonso explained that that all of his exterminating products are eco friendly and safe for pets!! Huge plus!! He also gave me some great, FREE advice on how to keep the ants from coming back on my own using natural products I have at home. Pest pro was worth it for a small mouse problem and minor roaches. I talked to a young man on the…read morephone at length before the appointment. I explained that the technician must arrive prepared to assess and treat in ONE appointment. I specified that he must move appliances, stuff gaps with steel wool, get under radiator covers and plug holes with foam-- no more but no less than that. Pest pro was the third place I called and the only place that was willing to meet my requirements of coming prepared to plug up and treat. The other two places said they needed to do an assessment which in my experience can mean just forcing you to pay and stay home all day twice instead of once. The person who showed up was new to the job but came prepared as requested and did a great job. They plugged behind my stove, placed traps behind my fridge, plugged under several radiators, and left glue traps out. In the end a wooden trap that I placed caught the mouse and I haven't seen another since. I'm pretty certain that the kitchen mice were coming in behind the stove which pest pro mouse-proofed well. It was $325 in the end but it only took one appointment and the problem is totally solved so I would use them again, though I don't think I'll have to because they really sealed up the place and recommended some follow ups which I can do myself for larger holes that they couldn't handle wit steel wool and foam.
