I was stressed out about the increasing roach activity at my place but was skeptical about effectiveness of hiring an exterminator. Given the price of Top Notch Pest Control, I had high expectations. Robert, the technician, came out to my place twice, once for the initial treatment and again for a follow-up. After the follow-up, the activity had gone down so much, more than I expected. Additionally, Robert provided great tips for prevention, was pleasant to talk with, and made a stressful situation much easier to go through. While I don't have other pest control services to compare with Top Notch, they do seem to do quality work, if all of their technicians are like Robert. Thank you!

Don talked my husband through some steps we could take to try and plug any holes and fix the issue on our own if we wanted to but after finding a few more bugs we decided to make an appointment to have professionals help. Lauren stopped by, did a thorough check of our whole apartment, and ended up calling in someone else to bring additional materials to help ensure our problems were solved. Both she and her husband (it's a family business!) did a great job explaining what they were doing, what they were using, and answer any questions we had. The traps they leave behind and poison they use are childproof and pet safe, and also placed in ways to limit chances of small kids or pets to even get to them. Their fee was incredibly reasonable, they're communicative, and I finally feel like I can sleep a little easier. They'll be coming back to check-in in a few weeks to make sure there are no new signs of anything and discuss any next steps as needed but we are feeling optimistic and taken care of by friendly, reasonable professionals. Very much recommend them!

I'm from New England so bugs don't bother me too too much…read more.. At the same time, I don't love to live WITH the bugs and we are expecting a little one soon. We wanted to feel that our home was safe and clean as we make this new transition. We didn't want any poison accessible to the dogs or babies which was why we decided to call a professional cleaner this time. I searched through yelp for ages and decided to give One Hour Best Control a shot. I've heard the name before and I can certainly say that this was one of the best choices I could have made! I'm now planning on having them come 4 times per year! To know that our unwanted critters are being dealt with in a manner so professional is fantastic. We feel so much safer and happier after making this phone call. In a city with rodents in the gutters and roaches infesting all the buildings, to have a pest-free house is massive deal. Darryl is an expert and it's a great feeling to know that you're dealing with the best. "One Hour Pest Control" was the best call we could have made for peace of mind.

We had to warn our next door neighbour and they ended up suggesting OHPC. I was reluctant at first, but after 2 weeks of laying out the regular traps, I was OVER IT. I called and spoke to Ray. I was up front about my stress about the price and he was open about what he could do for me. Honestly a huge relief, because when you're stuck with pest you literally have no choice. I appreciated that he worked within my budget and gave me all the options. Ray was able to fit us in the next morning (THANK YOU!!) We were able to get an inspection and found out that it wasn't a whole family of them. Just 4 or 5! Ray got us patched up and applied rat poison under the appliances, and near the the holes he caulked up. He even came back a week later to pick up the corpse because my mum and I were too scared! So grateful, I know I'm a New Yorker but I just can't!! Grateful for my neighbour and OHPC. It's been a month and we are scot-free. It was a painless experience for everyone but the mice.

Before deciding on this company, I called two other local companies, both of which were expensive and were insisting upon a canine inspection. After reading other 5-star reviews for Northeastern Exterminating, I decided to give them a call, and I'm glad I did. I explained my issue to Joe, who worked to calm my nerves about this situation and thoroughly explained everything that would occur with his company's home inspection, to be performed by his son, James. I wanted an appointment ASAP, and although Joe could only offer me an appointment for several days later, he assured me that he would keep my number at the ready just in case they had a cancellation. The night before my inspection, I received a text message from James confirming the time he would arrive, the price that was agreed upon, and simple instructions for how to prep for the inspection. The next morning, I received another text about an hour before the scheduled time to pinpoint the exact time he would be arriving - which is insanely helpful and courteous. Upon arrival, right on time, James asked me about my situation and immediately got to work performing a thorough and comprehensive inspection of the three bedrooms in my house, from floor to ceiling. The bed, box springs, bed frames, baseboards, etc. everything was carefully inspected while he explained what he was doing, what he was looking for, and even what I could do in the future to put my mind at ease. He made sure to look at everything I asked him to, and could not have been more easygoing and professional. I cannot recommend this company highly enough. Prompt, affordable, knowledgeable, friendly, and accommodating. On top of that, they are a family-run business, which is always a good thing. Give them a call and you will not be disappointed.

With the method they use I didn't have to put all my clothes in bags and only had to do my dirty laundry, which alleviates some of the stress from the situation. On top of that, he was able to start right then. He took care of the nest (three colonies!) and as promised, returned the next day to scrape the remains of their construction off of the wall. (It was above and to the right of my second floor window) He also treated it to make sure there were no traces of the persons that will bring other wasps to start again. All at a fair price. I explained that the technician must arrive prepared to assess and treat in ONE appointment. I specified that he must move appliances, stuff gaps with steel wool, get under radiator covers and plug holes with foam-- no more but no less than that. Pest pro was the third place I called and the only place that was willing to meet my requirements of coming prepared to plug up and treat. The other two places said they needed to do an assessment which in my experience can mean just forcing you to pay and stay home all day twice instead of once. The person who showed up was new to the job but came prepared as requested and did a great job. They plugged behind my stove, placed traps behind my fridge, plugged under several radiators, and left glue traps out. In the end a wooden trap that I placed caught the mouse and I haven't seen another since. I'm pretty certain that the kitchen mice were coming in behind the stove which pest pro mouse-proofed well. It was $325 in the end but it only took one appointment and the problem is totally solved so I would use them again, though I don't think I'll have to because they really sealed up the place and recommended some follow ups which I can do myself for larger holes that they couldn't handle wit steel wool and foam.
