1 Star Stolen car was recovered by police and towed here. The officer told us the tow would be free and we even confirmed it twice. When we arrived to pick up the car, they demanded over $500 to release it. No one explained these charges beforehand. Being the victim of a stolen car and then being hit with hundreds of dollars in fees is unacceptable. Looking at other reviews, it seems this happens to many people. A car that's towed and stored for less than 12 hours cost 550 .... Total rip off. They can't even explain their pricing structure and they just take advantage of anybody and everyone anyway that they can. Adding extra special equipment charges when it's not required. This company is a ripoff. Seems they work with APD on towing stolen vehicles with the express purpose of holding the vehicle until the storage fees are to onerous for the owner to afford. The APD and PES do not attempt to contact you about the recovery until the fees become excessive. Avoid at all Cost read more

Our car was towed here after APD called. The driver seemed friendly and I signed off the car WITH my phone number We assumed the insurance would be taking care of everything so we left the car over the three day memorial weekend. Called Tuesday to find a 600 dollar bill ( finally removed the car because the police report wasn't completed so we could file a claim) Come to find out after three days they put a lien on your car (70 dollars filing fee) When I called to ask him about it his response was he's in the business to make money and doesn't have to call customers for any reason. There was nothing in his paperwork to inform me of this nor was he apologetic in the least. C. Jimenez, you are an A hole and shouldn't be in business. how they rip you off even more is the owner I believe it is "Carlos" says he can't meet you until 4pm every day apparently which is after they charge you an additional for the day even tho you can call at 9am and be ready to pick it up. They sent me letter on a car that was traded back in November 2019 that was towed by them. I have no idea how they got my address. They must be searching old data bases to save $$$. The guy who answered the phone was obnoxious. This company is a scam and I would feel sorry for anyone who has their automobile towed to their yard. This tow company has the contract to tow cars from my apartment complex. They are reliable enough, in that they come if you call and will tow the offending car parked in your spot. But they are slower than a herd of turtles stampeding through peanut butter. I have waited for over an hour, sometimes an hour and a half for them to come tow cars that block other cars in/out of their spots. It's pretty ridiculous. Sometimes, THEY DONT EVEN SHOW UP. Had a horrible experience with this company. Driver towed my car outside of apartment complex before securing straps (illegal, straps must be secured first). He did it so he could quickly slip away with my car and secure them on the street, out of view. I stopped him in on the street, he would not give me my car, pulled over to the side and called the police alleging I had assaulted him (no such thing done, just a way for me to leave, his word vs mine). PES ended up towing my car to Antioch, from Concord, not their Bay Point facility (again, against the law, over X amount of miles from tow location). Speaking with their guy on the phone we had agreed on one price, when we arrived the price was significantly higher and the same person I talked with on the phone told me, in my face, while looking in my eyes, that he had never spoken to me or anyone about this tow. When I brought it up he said something along the lines of "Oh, this guy wants to play hard, lets see if we can keep his car longer". At that point they started checking insurance/registration/name/address for any reason to keep my car an extra day (they didn't). I filed a BBB complaint in which the drive made more outrageous allegations. I hope this company gets shut down/arrested. read more

Thank you guys a lot. I needed my truck moved and I called this company & he was able to move it right away at $20 cheaper then any other company in town. My husband even forgot the keys and they weren't upset they had to wait an extra 15mins for him to return with them. They did a fast job. The owner was kinda hard to understand at times, but overall he was a nice man. I think most of theses ratings are from people who got there car towed because of a parking issue. Hooooorrible tow company! My son's car was ran off the road on the byron hwy so the Byron hwy patrolled called in the tow to this co unfortunately thinking we would be in good hands as we were on a dangerous rd but yeah no cuz either the guy they sent out lied about coming out to tow us as we sat on the side of the rd for 2 hrs with our Hazzard lights waiting or the guy never sent his driver. When i called inquiring about an eta.. i got told driver came out but he didn't find us.. really i told him we've been here the whole time & he became rude & said his driver is not coming bck out although it was the police officer who called this in. So in other words felt like we were told to fuck off & our safety meant nothing as again waiting on a very dangerous rd. DONT USE THIS TOW CO!! I will let the officer know this as well. read more

This tow company is contracted to tow at our complex, we never see the tow truck and when they do decide to come through they don't check for parking permits and won't tow cars that are even parked in red zones that block emergency vehicles from getting through. They drive through too fast to even check for parking passes, we have so many illegal parkers in this complex that they could make a fortune but they don't care. Because they don't do their job the parking in our complex is out of control, they have even said they won't come out unless they get a call from HOA which won't work because we don't have a person that lives on site...useless tow company. read more

So my mom comes to drop off some mail to me. She parks rite in front of my house, I live in a gated community. She wasn't inside for more than 5 minutes and we come outside and her car is gone. So we call the Pittsburg Police to report a stolen car. The dispatcher on the phone says to my mother "there has been no report of towed vehicles so we will send the P.P.D to your house". Well after 45 minutes, no police come. And then the phone rings, its the dispatcher, she's telling my mother that her car was towed. According to her the PEST owing company has the car and they called to report they had towed it after my mother called to report it stolen.WTF. The Pittsburg P.D didn't say why PEST owing towed my Mothers car all they said its private property and we don't get involved, call the towing company. So she calls and he says it was illegally parked, but it wasn't and it will be $360.00 to get it out. WTF!! They didn't have the car for more then 2 hrs and its $360.00 So my mother just wants her car, so she can go home, she pays it. THIS IS HIGHWAY ROBBERY.. CON ARTISTS WITH TOW TRUCKS.. Avoid at all cost. My car was in an accident, the CHP had them tow it to the their yard. The insurance company paid them and had the car sent to the body shop for repairs. Three weeks later I get paper work from DMV that PES Towing had filed for a lien sale on my vehicle. So for the three days they had my vehicle while the insurance coordinate the repair they filed to lien sale my vehicle which is a 2016. Basically these guys intent is to steal people cars per the date on the paper work the car was moved and paid for before they applied for the lien. The fact that they would apply for a lien sale on a 40k car that not in their possession seems illegal. Per the DMV paper work they would be granted lien sale if I did not see and contest the paper work. I guess they mass file these in hopes people miss the notice. CROOKS CROOKS next time if CHP calls them I will tell them to turnaround and call another company. Call Fernandez towing or somebody else. read more
