Pine towing , decided to charge me for equipment that they did not have to use for my vehicle and proceeded not to refund me my additional 85.00 that was charged. I had a person in attendance as my vehicle was towed and was also told that if a person was not there I would pay the 85.00 anyway in which I'm glad I did have someone there...the supervisor told me he did not even know what kind of tow truck was sent out initially... then proceeds after I told him I would be disputing this charge with my bank to call me back and deliberately yelled at me and tell me he was un interested in hearing what I was saying as they where in the right and I have had my vehicle towed over 10 times and not one time has anyone ever had to use additional anything to put my vehicle on a flat bed.... I will never be using there service again as the internal SUPERVISOR I SPOKE WITH IS TRASH... also proceeding to say that they have pictures and videos of my vehicle which is absolutely fine because my bank will also see in comparison of my previous tow truck experience the big difference Also seeing I was told all calls are monitored and recorded as a customer service escalation supervisor I know exactly how most softwares work when screening calls which indeed is a plus side for me in this situation If in anyway I am harassed after this review I will be seeking legal action against ALL EMPLOYEES read more

They blocked my number, leaving me in the dark. The lack of communication and disregard for customer service is appalling. I strongly advise against using this towing service, as their unreliability and poor communication are inexcusable. Called them, gave them my credit card info and was told a truck would be there in 45 mins. Called after an hour and was told to wait another 20 mins. After those 20 mins went by, I called again and was told to wait another 30 mins. After those 30 mins I tried to call and my phone had been blocked I was very polite and respectful every time I called. I am now worried because they have my credit card info, this has to be illegal read more

Called to make arrangement for moving my non-running 1929 Model A. Was told it would be $140-225 depending on whether or not driver had to use "special equipment". Driver hooked up car like normal, drove less than 5 miles and dropped. No special equipment needed. Was charged $225 + tax. Boooooo. Customer service was good and they were timely, but dissappointed in charges. read more

Unfortunately my first review on Yelp will be a bad one, and I'm not one to complain. And I would give them -1 star if I could, their although their call center/dispatch failed to send the driver the right info they were fairly nice. One star it is. I called this place to request a tow for my vehicle which (I specifically stated) was parked on the street and in between 2 cars. They requested pictures of the plate #, my DL and a picture of where the car was currently parked.. Since i was at work I had my son take a picture of where it was parked.. When he took the picture, there was only one car in front, but I clearly stated to the call center people that it was parked in between 2 cars when I left this morning. I get a call from the Tow truck driver sltelling me that he can't tow the vehicle because no one sent him the info stating where and how my vehicle was parked. I thanked him for his time and called the call center. When on the phone, the lady said that I would be refunded all but 50.00 of my money because they "took the call". It was their fault for not relaying the message to the tow truck driver but yet I still had to pay 50.00??!?! I've owned my own shop, and have been in customer service/the auto industry for 20 years and this is by far the worst excuse to take someone's money. This place is a Joke. read more

Got a quote from another company for $175 from Richmond to hayward. Company ends up canceling on me. Call this company, they say they can do it for $350. I say that's too much. They ask how much I'm willing to pay. I say at most $250. They 'go back to their supervisor' and tell me they can do $275. I tell them I'll go elsewhere and hang up. They call me back and tell me they can do $250. I say fine. They ask for my credit card number and tell me there's a 49.99 cancellation charge if I don't pick up my phone or the driver can't find me. Whatever. I go ahead with it. I was told I'd get a call within 40 minutes when the driver was close. Two phone calls and an hour and half later, someone shows up. We start trying to get the car on the truck. The back right wheel won't turn even with it in neutral. He tells me it's going to be $360 in order to do it. I say fine. He just pulls it on to the truck just as I expected him to do with the wheel working properly. The car eventually got to the location I needed, but everything about their business is terrible. While they were very nice on the phone and booked me for an appointment for the date I requested, they outsourced the job to another company. This other company was awful. They were rude and verbally aggressive. Be careful when booking through Pine because they do not do all the jobs themselves. read more

Service was great, but the price was obscene. To tow a vehicle less than 2 miles in El Sobrante... $140... just because it was a truck.. 1966 F250, non dually, no bigger than a new F150. Probably easier to load on the truck than a low standard sedan, and i had to help him do it!! Complete rip off. read more

Right from the moment Tony answered the phone I got the best customer service I've ever experienced from a tow company. I had been running around town in a hurry getting ready for my friend's wedding (it was the day of) and totally forgot about gas. My car slowly rolled to a stop and luckily I had gotten enough of my brain back to pull over to the side of the road. After a quick freak out of "why isn't my car working" it donned on me I had no gas. I quickly Googled towing services, looked at reviews and picked Pine Towing. That's when Tony saved my day, he sent out one of the guys who had gas with him and filled me up with 5 gallons! The best part is he only took about 15 minutes to get to me. When I asked Tony how much it was he mentioned their Honest Pricing policy. As a college student hearing things like that makes my heart sing. The tow guy was great and friendly but the brokers were absolutely hostile and rude! They quoted me one price over the phone then tried to charge me 2x as much. Turns out there was a miscommunication but the broker and the supervisor were awful to deal with. They repeatedly asked me the same questions about how much I wanted to pay and whether or not I listened to the audio recording of my original call. It was ridiculous. I was not trying to negotiate or get out of paying, just trying to come to an agreement. However, they were completely rude and disregarding of my time. Got the best service today! Called in the morning to have my husband's truck towed from a local gas station (starter crapped out the night before) to our home. They met me at the time I specified, got the job done quick, and the truck home safely. They are prompt, super friendly, and efficient! No time wasted. Plus, they are available 24 hours! I broke down in Oakland in an area I was not familiar with. I searched on Yelp to find a company that was able to tow a bike. I called several companies. This one was the most polite, had the best on the phone service, and had a quick ETA. I thought it was funny how the tow truck driver's name was Guy. He took time and care to get my bike on his truck. Great service and also Guy was very nice. I would easily call them again if I unfortunately broke down again. read more

Son had blown tire on freeway and called for tow around 2:30am. Was told they would be there in an hour. Arrived at son's car an hour later to help make sure everything was ok and tow hadn't come yet. Waited about 15 min and called again, person on phone said that the other truck was in vicinity on another job and it will take another 30 min. Waited another 45 min and called back again to check status and no one EVER answered the phone again after 3-4 repeated tries in the next 15 min. read more

I was out on the highway in the blistering heat with a car that just simply stopped. I was so upset, and the heat had rattled my nerves to the point that I just couldn't deal with one more thing. I accidentally locked my keys in the trunk of my 05 Lexus ES330. The Hispanic guy in the gold sequoia (I didn't get his name, I wish I did.) who came to unlock my car did a terrible job. He scratched paint, and scratched up the inside of my car because he was getting frustrated that the lock kept switching back to lock. He kept trying, and trying, and trying. Then looked at me like it was no use and nearly gave up, so my boyfriend suggested to take over, and was successful after a few tries. The whole time the guy kept saying that I should've had a spare key. I mean duh, I wish I had a spare. Then he wouldn't have a bunch of scratches all over my car and the rubber from my door wouldn't be ruined. read more
