I LOVE Perry Ellis!! Perry Ellis clothing, especially their shirts, have been a definite part of my wardrobe staple for years. Perry Ellis whose timeless designs with the added modal into the fabric adds not only a professional look but gives them a more tailored fit that has an elegant modern air to them, as well. I have my tailor cut the tail's off the short sleeve shirts like a camp shirt so I can wear them untucked. I'll pair them with dress slacks and some great loafers. I always get compliments. It's a perfect look for a college professor. Not to mention what a great value Perry Ellis is! Araceli was the salesperson who assisted me a couple of days ago. She's terrific. Her customer skills are excellent! I thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated her helping me. Additionally, the main reason I'm writing this review is because a couple of days ago I won their in-store prize of $250.00 worth of clothing for their "Teacher Day" appreciation. The suit he liked happened to be on sale for 30% off and it happened to be nearly a perfect fit! He'll probably get it tailored just because he's picky but it really isn't necessary in my opinion. I've bought 4 suits for me and 2 for my dad from Perry Ellis. I bought the first suit over 2 years ago at the Citadel outlets and this store has now become my go-to suit store. You honestly get the best bang for your buck here! The quality of the suites are great and fit perfectly! Out of the 6 suits I've purchased, not a single one of them has needed any tailoring prior to use. Also, I need to mention that I buy my suits fitted so the material needs to be strong in order to avoid any ripping or tearing when doing everyday movements such as bending, stretching, hunching (i.e washing hands) and opening/ crossing legs while sitting down. Out of all the suits, only one of them has ripped about half an inch from the center seam of the coat. Not bad at all being that I use them quite often. The priciest suit I've bought has been for $118, taxes included! One of my favorite suites I only paid $65, I kid you not! I've compared my suits with other friends that like to go all out and pay $200-500 for a suit and you would need to be an expert on suits or a brand name freak in order to tell the difference. The customer service has been great so far and the people have been very helpful. The stores are neat and organized (except for the clearance section). Other accessories are also sold here, ties, shirts, shoes, cologne etc. at a great price too. Another neat thing they have is a reward program where you earn points (Cash discount) every time you buy a certain amount. I already got a $75 discount on one of my purchases, it was awesome! So my boyfriend is not the kind of guy to take time to write reviews, so I'll write one on his behalf since our experience here was together. Haha. We've passed by this store many times and I always tried to get him to go in because they always appear to have killer sales. I finally got him in the store today and he went crazy. He had recently purchased a suit jacket for about $100 elsewhere but at Perry Ellis he was able to find a complete suit: jacket and pants for only $80. He also came up on a sweater for about $20 and some pants. He got some ties. Altogether spent no more than about $120 because of some additional discount they gave him for signing up. Best part about this store: Everyone is welcoming and helpful. He LOVED how organized the store is. Do you know how annoying it is to go to stores like Burlington or marshalls and have to hope you find a specific size in a specific style in less than an hour?! Frustrating. This store is always neat. Pants are organized by style, size, and color. You can actually shop here in peace. Clutter frustrates me. Plus, it's very affordable, especially for the quality. So this review doesn't pertain to this store but to an employee. An associate by the name of Craig is from this location but was covering at a different store. Craig took the time to help me with several suits shirts ties and a pair of shoes. Now I was at the store for quite some time way more than I planned on it. Not once did he seem agitated or upset when I kept changing my style of suits. Or turned down shirts that he had picked out. He was very attentive to my needs and wants. So this review is for the company. I had to send them this letter in reply to their email to me: Hello, So you guys are going to charge me $6 for a restocking fee because you sent me the wrong items? Not only did I waste my time trying to return the items at a store only to find out they don't accept returns from online purchases. I then call to tell you I was sent the wrong order and was given THREE shirts instead of the two I ordered and found out I can't exchange them. I had a weird experience. I was welcomed in with a nice smile from a young lady, she was nice. She came to me twice asking me if everything is fine. Later the guy was giving me a weird look, and the attitude was somewhat off until I paid and then I got a nice smile from him. Based on previous reviews, it seems my fantastic shopping experience is not a rarity here. That's right, I said fantastic shopping experience, I'm not sure what to think of myself anymore after that statement. I came in looking for a cheap backup suit (gentlemen, take notes) for my "destination wedding" in case anything happened to my actual attire, since my outfit will be tailored on location days before the ceremony (definitely not recommended. Long story, don't ask.) The suits here are cheap, made in China, but they look decent and the store has three cuts to choose from (slim fit recommended). These are NOT high quality suits, but if you're here, you're probably either not looking for that impeccable Italian suit or you don't know what you're looking for at all. Jessica took care of me moments before closing, and she gave me her much appreciated honest opinion upon request. She wasn't pushy and was extremely helpful. Even gave me some tips on getting an even better price. Their semi annual sale started just recently and the look you get for the price you pay almost makes you feel bad. Got a full suit and a belt for less than $140. Customer service is top notch. Bottom line, these are very nice looking cheap suits and excellent customer service. The craftsmanship is not outstanding but you simply shouldn't expect that at this price point. In my opinion, here you get more than what you pay for. read more

Ok, I started going to this store a month ago when I needed a dress shirt for an interview. However, I did not want a shirt from Old Navy or Any other place at the block. I wanted to try a new shop. The first time I entered the store, I had an amazing experience. The employee truly helped my find a shirt for a job interview. Not only was he helpful and kind, but honest about his opinion. I decided after that experience that I would back once every two weeks to buy a new shirt and a tie to go with it even though I didn't need at the moment. I decided I wanted to update my wardrobe and Perry Ellis was the perfect shirt, tie, and price. I went back a second time and had a great experience with the store manager lizette. Today was time to go look for another shirt and tie set.... However, the employees there today had ZERO CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE training because I was not acknowledged and one associate named Aracelli felt it was more helpful to help her boyfriend that even greeting anyone else! Absolutely the worst leather belt I've ever bought and used in my 28 years. It says genuine leather on it and they proudly stamped their branded name on the belt but it's just carton underneath which is covered with a thin layer of leather. Avoid their products at all costs. read more

But then we saw a lot of different suits that all were very good quality. The prices were very good too we managed to get the entire selection for under $200. I got a suit and a pair of pants and a vest. The quality of the material was fantastic. Recently though I have been noticing that a majority if not all dress shirts dont have the collar stay pockets no more.
