Now that the Nike Factory store is open, I have TWO whole reasons to brave these treacherous fields of ignorant youth, cigarette smoke, and screaming toddlers that go careening down the thoroughfares the same way boulders fall in Indiana Jones. The Puma Store makes me wet myself with excitement. If I were to admit that I had an addiction to something so useless as name brand clothing, I'd say it proudly with a Puma logo across my chest. Puma is just one of those lines that makes me feel like I'm not so much of a gym rat but I can stay in my workout clothes ALL THE FREAKING TIME!!! Hmm...where to start? Here goes nothing: I came to this store to purchase a pair of PUMA "running shoes" (as explained by the sales associate) in late August 2012. I spent quite a bit of time going over the shoe selection, because I am a running enthusiast who competes in the occasional 5K. Also, I wear custom orthotics for an ankle condition - so it was imperative that I purchased a pair of shoes that could be worn with modified soles. After selecting a pair that I liked, I was assured by sales associate that they were "totally okay to use" with custom orthotics. I took his word for it and paid $70+tax for the shoes. Big mistake. Fast forward a couple months later: I'm running a 5K with the new shoes I just described. All is fine and well, until I get home and notice a gaping hole in the side of my left shoe. Upon further investigation, I realized that the hole had been caused by my custom orthotic pressing against the shoe's leather material. Understandably frustrated, I returned to this particular PUMA store, where I originally purchased the shoes, with the intention of speaking to the manager. Upon entering the store, I was greeted by an employee named "CJ", who identified himself as the store manager. I showed CJ my defective shoes, and explained that I had been mislead by one of his sales associates to believe that these shoes were not only "running shoes" but also "okay to wear with custom orthotics." He immediately replied, "No. These are not running shoes. They are meant for casual wear." At this point, I kindly asked if I could have a store credit - so that I could purchase a pair of shoes that were, in fact, conducive to the lifestyle I had explained to his sales associate. CJ replied, "No. You're out of the return policy. Nothing I can do for you." He then said, "It's your own fault these shoes got damaged. They are not meant to be running shoes." At this point, I became quite agitated. I asked CJ how he, a store manager, could stand by the fact that his sales associate deliberately mislead me into buying a pair of shoes that clearly didn't apply to my lifestyle. His response was, "For all I know, you're just some guy off the street trying to get a new pair of shoes for free." I couldn't believe it! I asked who his district manager is, which he refused to share. So, I asked for his business card so that I could let corporate know how poorly I was being treated. He said, "Go ahead and contact them. They won't do anything for you." He proceeded to give me a store business card - with no name. I asked him to write his name down. He grabbed the card, scribbled "CJ" on the back, and literally threw it back at me. He then left to go take care of another customer. Little does "CJ" know, but I DID contact PUMA corporate - and was issued a full refund within hours. No questions asked. I have been a loyal fan of PUMA shoes for many, many years. They have worked well for me, and I have NEVER had a problem with customer service. The experience I had at this particular store in Orange, however, was completely unacceptable. Nevermind the fact that I wasted $70 on a pair of shoes that were sold to me by an uninformed, clearly uneducated sales associate. I will never shop at this store again. read more

I have been here couple of times and they have a lot more selection for men but not too much for women and it upsets me. The kids clearance shoes are mixed in with the womens with higher portion of kids products. Moreover, they have men's fleece but not womens which is very very odd. I came here on a Sunday afternoon to check out the latest shoes from my favorite shoe brand- PUMA. To my heavenly surprise, they are have a 20% sale, include a 40% off discount on all PUMA products. I was browsing all the products and shoes, and all my fave shoes are on sale! The yellow stripe with brown shoe, the blue stripe with white stripe is on sale, the socks, the cool PUMA shirts and jackets are on sale. I couldn't resist myself and brought shoes and a shirt. Worst experience, three staff workers total with one on the register with multiple customers waiting. They use to offer a 10% off for CalOptima members if you make a purchase over $75. I remember having done this multiple times and now they say they never offer the discount before. I find it very odd because I recognize the brunette worker have done it before and said it to me. The worst Puma store I've been to by far. Air conditioning was broken on 90 degree day. Fans did nothing. Customer service was extremely slow and unhelpful. Selection was limited, overpriced and picked over. I purchased one pair of shoes and when I got home realized the cashier had forgotten to take the security tag off. Now I'm 45 minutes away. And have to make a long journey back to the store to have it taken off. Very upsetting that the workers can't remember to take of the security tag. Will most likely go to another Puma store to have the tag taken off. read more
