Just bought a pair of shoes yesterday, worn them once. I went to return them today and the gentleman in the front denied the return stating that they were too dirty. I live over an hour away, to have to clean these shoes and return them takes too much time for me. I purchased a pair of Adidas online and picked them up at the store. As I was leaving, I asked if there was any deals on Adidas. There was, an additional $30 off. I hadn't taken possession of the shoes and was told that a call would need to be made to customer service to verify how to handle getting the discount. Long story short, I had to buy another pair at the discounted price AND call their customer service to get a label to ship the shoes back. Now if this isn't the biggest inconvenience. So I called their customer service and was sent a link to fill out to get the label. The first time I tried the link, it said that a refund was not available. I called back their customer service twice and was put on hold then disconnected both times. I decided to email the person who sent me the link. It took four emails to finally get the correct link. STAY AWAY Customer service is unknown here. Ordered 2 pairs of shoes online & did in store pick up. There was a sizing issue with one of the pairs. The cashier tried to find the right size but it appeared to be out of stock. He seemed new & whenever he asked some "supervisor" named Alex for help, all she did was give an attitude and belittle him in front of me. I ended asking to return the shoes and the next issue, they couldn't refund it back onto my debit card I used to pay for the online order and they couldn't provide a cash refund . They couldn't even explain why but it had to be put onto store credit which I didn't want. Once again the so called supervisor didn't give an F and had the worst attitude. Low and behold in the end of my return they refunded me half cash, half store credit. I thought they couldn't give me cash whatsoever? Such a crappy experience, of course when I tried ordering the shoes online to ship to home, surprise- surprise you can't use a store credit/gift card to pay online. I will never step foot or order from this place again, I will seriously throw the store credit away and lose the $ then give this garbage place any more business. read more

WSS sucks! It's like a swap meet for shoes. I was looking for some basketball shoes for my 10 year old son online and saw these gray KD Trey 5 shoes on sale for $79.99 and decided to go with my son to try them on. This was our first time to this location. From the outside the store looked clean, big and it wasn't busy when we went inside. We saw the shoe on the wall next to the high end Jordan's but couldn't find the boxes. I wasn't used to WSS shoe trying methods where you find your own size from the stack of boxes by the displayed shoes. So with the KDs, we didn't see any boxes. I asked a worker and he said the boxes were behind the wall but would bring out my sons size. A few minutes later, the worker came out with one left shoe. I asked the worker where the right shoe was and he said he couldn't give it to us because company policy will not allow us to try both shoes at the same time. I asked if that was the policy of the store manager but he said it's from the company and if I didn't like it i could call corporate. I asked the worker several questions about how we would know if the shoes fit well without trying both on at the same time? The worker said if he gave us both shoes, some people run out of the store and steal them. I sarcastically told him, so after we try the left, you take that back and give us the right shoe to try? The worker said, if that's what you want to do? The worker didn't seem friendly after I kept questioning the "company policy" and gave me the impression that we might run off with the left shoe. I told my son to just try it on and see how it felt so we can make a decision and just leave. Luckily the shoe didn't feel well, so we gave it back and left. The worker probably thought we weren't serious and was gonna try to steal them. But actually, that whole experience turned us off and made me feel discriminated against. It was better we didn't buy them. I felt like I was being profiled as a criminal because my head is shaved, wearing black basketball shorts and a black LA Dodgers shirt. Reality is that I'm a law enforcement officer and showed him my badge to prove that I was not a felon trying to run out of the store with a pair of shoes. In retrospect it probably didn't prove my point and I was reluctant to show my badge in the first place but I felt he needed to know that you never know who you are talking to. Funny thing is that WSS has a street reputation for selling low priced shoes to people in the hood, located in the hood but try protect themselves from criminals that live in the hood. My advice for WSS is move out of the hood if you're so afraid of being robbed. I'll be filing a complaint with the better business bureau later. I actually hope to hear from WSS corporate to see if they created this policy or the individual store made that up. read more

What an amazing crew at the WSS at the anaheim Town square. Marco the manager as well as Raul and staff were very attentive during my visit. The staff was friendly they were able to show me several styles based on what I was looking for and provided detailed info about each shoe they recommended that made it unique and a good fit for my needs. The price range was very affordable for many of the shoes I selected, additional accessories were also very affordable and the staff was more than willing to show me more options if fit my needs. This is not the first time I shop here or the first time that the staff is so helpful. During my visit I saw other customers get the same great service and one thing that stud out as I walked in for the first time was how clean and inviting the places looked. Let's start with the positives: Friendly staff Organized inventory Wide aisles The other negative details aren't hugely disastrous but it's enough so that I wouldn't come back (though I wouldn't have come at all if not for someone else's need to visit). The place smells like feet. Not shoes. Feet. Yes, I know. It's a shoe store, but the air circulation is so poor that you leave the place with a horribly penetrating scent of foot odor. I had to shower and do laundry when I got home. Not an exaggeration. Parking lot is small and very uneven. Inventory is plentiful though not exactly desirable. I don't buy shoes often but when I do I don't go to discount warehouses. No, I'm not a stuck up shopper. I hate shopping, but when I have to buy something, because I hate shopping, I'll spend extra money to get good quality so that I won't have to replace it any time soon. You'll find some cheap stuff here but you might be better off going to the Block or something. The smell alone is enough to make me not return but I will say that the customer service was very friendly and that helps to dilute the lingering memory of foot funk. read more

Anyways, I had groupons (didn't read the fine print, asked permission to use more than one-cashier said yes), the manager asked the girl "different groupons for each one?" Whatever, didn't phase me, but then when I gave her my phone to check the code, he took my phone and said, "let me see real quick" (uh no, it's my phone) then said, "here, it says one per visit." I said it was fine and that I'd leave the shoes then and come back using one by one. He made some bs excuse and should've said something before his cashier said yes. I visited this location few hours ago to take some out of town relatives to shop for several pairs of shoes to take back home to all of their grandkids. Me and my two nieces were tired from standing as our relatives continued their shopping, so we took a seat where customers try on shoes. There were about four boxes of shoes on the floor and in the seats in that area from other customers that did not return them to their place; an employee saw the mess around us. We sat there for about 20 minutes and were made very uncomfortable by the same employee who saw the mess. She constantly kept looking in our direction as if we were not allowed to sit on those seats. She also walked by us two times. Since we felt that we were maybe invading her work area, we notified our relatives that we were going down the street for a snack while they shopped. Before we reached the door I smiled and started to say "bye" to that same employee that was making us feel uncomfortable as we waited for our relatives, and she stopped me in the middle of me saying "bye" and rudely said "excuse me ma'am but I'm going to have to check your bag." I asked her why? She said it was "store policy to check everyone's bag before they leave, I didn't tell you when you walked in." I then replied, "okay, I didn't steal anything" because that is what she was implying in front of the other customers. Of course she found nothing but my personal items. I felt very disrespected, especially in front of everyone else in the store and by her tone. I have never been in trouble with the law, nor have I most certainly never taken anything from any store or any one. When my relatives left they met with us at their house and I asked them if they checked their bags before they left, since it was "store policy" and all, and what do you know.....they were not asked to open their bags for inspection before they left. I will NEVER return to this place that accuses customers in such an unprofessional and condescending manner in front of everyone. They need to further their training for current and future employees on how to properly address what is thought to be "suspicious" activity (in other words just sitting there chatting). As for the general aspects of the store: it was clean and organized besides the few boxes of shoes that were left in some of the aisle by other customers. There are even some clothing to look through for women but it is nothing all that special. Prices are average compared to other shoe warehouses. There is a big clearance selection and a big selection of athletic shoes. read more
