"Roasted" Turkey. I've seen this on their menu during breakfast visits aand always wondered if they really had carved turkey available upon request/year round. I recently ordered it via Grubhub because baby and I were sick and wasn't up to cooking. They do NOT have it available, instead they sent grilled turkey deli slices. I was absolutely disappointed and upset! Why not say it's not available so I could've ordered something different?? Crappy dinner on top of an already crappy day. Thumbs down! read more

It is very rare to find a restaurant this excellent and with a menu choice so extensive with so many choices it is hard to pick just one! But the waiters and waitresses were great and the food so excellent we couldn't wait to come back. And we did three times in two days! Plus we got to cater two meals out to our entire Race Official staff at the track across the street. Rarely is anything totally eaten with this team, but these 2 meals were!!! Great job Perko's. We were in Madera, CA at lunchtime. We were hungry and had never been in Madera before. Fast food seemed like an unpleasant but logical choice. However, we passed this interesting looking eatery that had "Farm Fresh" on their signage. It looked decent and there were lots of cars in the lot. We quickly looked them up on the internet and saw a few good reviews. We were sold! As we walked in, we immediately knew we had made a great decision. The service was fast, courteous and very helpful. As a matter of fact, our server 'Tommy' was incredible. Even the near immediate coffee was good and fresh. The food, for two traveling NY'ers, can only be summarized as fuggedaboutit! it was so good. We had burgers which were amazing but it was the onion rings which stole the show -the best ever! On this visit, I had the chicken fried steak with egg's and hash browns. All seasoned perfectly and cooked perfectly. Coffee is bottomless! Oh and sweet cream pancakes. Just sweet enough where you don't, necessarily, need syrup. Staff is attentive without being intrusive! Highly recommend going in. Having food delivered is a hit and miss. read more

This place does not care for delivery drivers, the orders will sit behind the counter ready for up to 20 mins+ and the staff does not care how late we are or even acknowledge us, many times I've had to ask for help just be be given dirty looks! Wish the staff cared about the drivers just as much as any other valued customer. In all honesty, the only reason I had never been to Perko's before was because of rumors of poor service. However, I discovered the menu online and visited the Madera location with my family. It was a weekday evening, Zulema was polite and attentive, and our meals were deliciously exceptional. 10 out of of 10 up until.. Then, the 5 year traveling in our pack earned herself a scoop of ice cream after the bill had been paid. The two of us waited in front of the counter for ice cream while Vanessa addressed a small party. Vanessa sat them, addressed me at the counter, however did not service me. Instead, she walked out of site, came back with two glasses, and told me she will be right with me. She never got to me. Vannessa sat a larger party waiting behind me, I made eye contact with Zulema, who asked Vanessa across her way if I have been helped. In the end, Zulema scooped us one container of sorbet and inspired another employee to ring me up. Overall, Vanessa dissolved the quality in the service I received at Perko's. read more

For a privately owned business, & a long standing restaurant the food is consistent & great! The service is superb; waitresses work very hard to give all their customers attention they deserve.
