The enchiladas, rice, and beans were so yummy and flavorful. The rolled tacos were nice and crispy filled with chicken. They came with fresh toppings and a black bean sauce that was an incredible twist to my typical dipping sauce. Nonetheless, a perfect combination that I will want again and again. The carne asada tacos and sopes were both good as well. The carne asada was full of flavor and juicy tender. Service: The lady at the counter was very sweet. I placed my order for pick up via door dash and waited for my order outside because I had my dog with me. She was kind enough to bring my order outside for me and was generous with offering the extra sope. Thank you! Ambience: Cute little place with some indoor and outdoor seating. Luckily we didn't need to drive far before we spotted this carniceria. Its parking lot was pretty full with many cars coming and going, which indicated that it was open. The store sold a variety of meat and snacks, much as what you'd expect from any other carniceria. But most people were here for the taqueria portion - you could get a box of cooked meat to go for ~$13-17 per pound, which was a pretty good deal. There were some tables inside the taqueria, but they were slightly dirty, and most people were just taking their food to go. We got a few quesadillas to share. They were huge and stuffed with well-seasoned chicken breast meat, and came with sides of rice and beans, or salad and avocado. The free salsa here was SPICY, and my mouth burned for a bit after consuming it. But overall the food was excellent and we left full and happy.

OK, so my family and I have probably been here over a 30 times since we moved to Madera 5 years ago…read moreand we can honestly say that the food and service has finally disappointed us. Our reviews have always been 5 stars and we've always raved about this place so trust me when I say that our last visit we be the LAST. Our visit consisted of being ignored at the drive-through window as my husband was ordering our food. The lady with a beauty mark/mole on her cheek, was taking our order and walked away from us two or three times while my husband was ordering. This was the moment my husband knew we would not be back. Of course I am a devils advocate and I said well maybe they're really busy (or I don't know if anything really justifies leaving your customer mid sentence). It took us longer than usual to get our food. My husband's burrito was extremely poor made. I had mostly rice and not much of anything else. My sope was good so can't complain there, but the tacos were not it. The tortas aren't the same either. The taste is not the same as we loved and the service is horrible. I don't know if we will ever be back. We can get over hit or miss food (sometimes) but I can't get over her walking away while my husband was ordering. She did not say a single word to us and just walked away. If you don't care enough to respect your paying customers, then you do not deserve our service. No sé si volveremos. *notice the grilled onions in the taco picture, like Are you kidding me? And where are the taco toppings. My hubbys burrito with one piece of visible meat. This was the super BTW.

I think we just came on an off night and understaffed because our experience was nothing like the reviews. First issue was I ordered a fountain drink. I was told it's out and they are switching the syrup refills I waited for about 20 minutes for the soda and then When I got it the mixture was off and completely flat. Our food took about 40 minutes. Our 3 year old child was getting antsy. For such a small restaurant I'm not sure why it took so long to get the food out. The host was also the server, busser, cashier and did everything. The vibe felt off. The other customers were either waiting for their food, or refills, or to go boxes or their bill and none of it was getting handled. My burrito was fine. 7/10 but wife's chile relleno was a 4/10. While I want to give them the benefit of the doubt I can't say we will ever be going back. I've never been so anxious to get out of a restaurant.
